    LL is a service provider,  unless there is something wrong with their product they are not willing to deal with it.  I am sure they do not want to hear about every tree, bump, or argument in SL.   So before you send them a email saying "She broke up with me and I want her banned." Think about what that has to do with the Second Life code and how that affects your game performance.  It has nothing to do with it...so you will probably be ignored.

    My apologies Shiro   I did not realize that the sexual part of Furry Fandom was a subculture of Furry Fandom.  Although I knew that there were Furry's who did not participate in any sexual behavior, as with many RP'ers.  The whole subject is a bit confusing and I have since educated myself via the Furry fandom wiki.  So not all Furries are a fetish culture in SL.  Thank you for pointing that out.

    That's the kind of crap I do not want to deal with on the main grid.  Suicide, feelings, wha? Give that phantom teen your talking about a cookie and tell them to log off the Internet until they are 21 or so.

     

    Harsh? No not really,  SL was never designed nor was it built for kids.

    Who will  be next?  Vampires, Gors, Furries, BSDM, LGBT, Escorts,... I got news  for LL chances are by the time things are squeeky clean;  none of those  groups are going to want to be in SL.

    I guess it's Furries who are next huh.

    Naming names is against the TOS btw, so I would delete that Furries name if I were you Horado.

    So we are already calling them G sims and not PG sims on the main,  interesting Horado.

    Let the finger pointing and acusations begin.

    Michael; What ever fetish ppl have on an 18+ grid is their business you don't have to agree with it but it is their right...well till the first of the year anyway. Then as I have said things will indeed change drastically.

    The idea of ppl segregating each other out and standing in judgement in what is suppose to be a Utopia frankly makes me very sad.

    These kids will be exposed to things they have no business seeing.  LL doesn't give a rats... about them and from the sounds of it they haven't protected them from squat yet.  The bigger picture here is the entire grid is about to be dumbed down because we will the thought police running around screaming "think of the children!"  Not to mention the legal ramifications of such a stupid idea from LL.  It doesn't affect you YET.

    What Educators? LL pushed them out the door with their announcement that their tier fees will be doubled.  They are already making their new homes on other Open Sim grids. So the 13-15 y/o's have no where to go now.  Guess that solves the problem of those pesky minors huh.

    Now that we are down to the wire,  it only stands to reason that ppl will have more to say about and in fact step up and say "No don't do this."

    Over a barrel, um like LL has some over a barrel.  Naw we just pack up our toys and move on again.  there are lots of choices now springing up which leads to a good amount of competition for business.  Gone are the days of "if you want to play you have to pay this high price to do".  Thank God too.

     

    I had some lag issues too, till I moved off the main tp in area then I was great

    Can an 18-year-old guy date a 16-year-old girl without getting in trouble in California?

     

    Just dating a girl when you are 18 and she is 16 is not against the law in California. However having sex with her is considered statutory rape in California until she is 18.

     

    LL knows this; and they still insist on merging the teen and adult grids;  boggles the mind at the amount legal issues that they LL is obviously turning a blind eye to.

     

    2nd Point:

    What exactly does everyone think is going to happen when they DO merge the grid on 1/1/2011?  Some fantasy land where XXX strip clubs and highschools magicaly coexist with zero issues happening?

    Nope chances are the grid and everything on it is gong to be changed so that the teens are not in any harm by the big bad adults and their filthy "content".

    LL will string ppl along for a while telling them everything is going to be just fine,  or continue to ignore them as they do now. Little by little the SL you know today won't be recognizeable.  Who will be the first groups pushed out of SL?  Teachers? After all they watch out for the kids don't they?

    I would much rather LL was upfront and just said "You know what the new direction of our company is family friendly." At least then they would be honest.  Instead we are told the teens are coming, nothing we can do about it, be prepared.

    LL you might want to take a look at your own state laws before you tell the rest of the country and world to break them.

    There is and nearly always has been sexualy explicit content in Second Life,  it has always been rated 18+.  How exactly are YOU LL going to remove all of that content so you can legally lower the age of admittance.

    Like I said there are real life laws to protect minors, it's time you stepped out of the office and realized that the real world is not Second Life.  But it most certainly applies to you too.
