  1. I am excited that premium members receive the dune buggy. But I am not sure how fast it can go. I am curious on how fast the dune buggy go in km/h, m/s and/or MPH (may get a speed radar from the MP or inworld store just to observe.)
  2. I am not aware of certain regions being down. When I TP to my favourite places, NONE of that places seems down.
  3. I know that SLT/Pacific time is 3 hours behind Eastern time. I check the SL time by looking at the time on the top-right of the viewer client, next to the L$ balance, but when I'm not on SL, I usually convert it in my head, or hover on the Windows clock on the bottom-right on the taskbar. If you are using Windows Vista, 7 or 8, then you go to the right of the taskbar on the bottom of the screen (otherwise you placed the taskbar somewhere else), right-click on the time, then click on "Adjust date/time" then select the "Additional Clocks" tab and select "show this clock" Choose "(UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US and Canada)" Type "SLT" under the Enter Display Name field and click on OK. Additionally, open up the Gadgets by right-clicking on the desktop and clicking on Gadgets and drag the Windows Clock to the desktop, set it to UTC-08:00 Pacific Time (US and Canada), Name it as SLT. Click on OK. I don't know how to do it on a Mac. I will make an inworld civil time clock, inworld solar time clock and a SLT clock some time and distribute it for free. It will be on the Marketplace. I already made a clock that shows Eastern Time so I have to mod it to show inworld civil time, inworld solar time and SLT. I have seen a digital clock in the NTBI plaza in region Prototype in the Astaro store. It shows the sim time (dunno if it's inworld civil or solar time.) Please note on the bottom-right of the pic, the clock (that uses shared media) uses metric time and alternative dates (ie: leap week, lunar, lunisolar, decimal and solar dates). If you like to see it yourself, please teleport to http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Prototype/77/71/24 and look to the west.
  4. When I check out the link, I get 404 page not found.
  5. Ima check what's going on inworld. Inworld pics to come. EDIT: Things seems to settle down.
  6. I just went on maps.secondlife.com and slurl.com and saw that something's not right with the picture. Upon observation that the pathfinding sandbox and the public sandbox has been grieved with megaprims. They set it off to activacte when the region overhead snapshots were taken and displayed on slurl.com and maps.secondlife.com and as well as maps inworld. Someone who doing this should be reported and banned! Your thoughts.
  7. Is there any Summer Olympics places in Second Life? I been to the Winter Olympics in an unknown region in Second Life in 2010.
  8. Team Elite SL freak out, rez the sirens that I have in their inventory then sound the sirens warning of doomsday in SL. Team Elite SL would contact Phillip Linden, Maestro Linden, Oskar Linden and the CEO of Linden Lab Rodvik Linden on the ETA on when SL would close, and outside of SL, if Linden Lab gets listed on the NASDAQ or NYSE, Team Elite would watch the stock price and watch CNBC.
  9. The outage has been resolved since late this morning SLT.
  10. The Second Life wiki is back up as of late this morning SLT.
  11. Fishing?! I like to fish, and it have water so I drive my 2013 Shark multi use vehicle on the water and terrain. Plus I like to watch movies. Does the theatre show Tron original and Tron: Legacy?
  12. //BEGIN OFF-TOPIC @Storm: Yeah. I was considering featuring the topic on the Second Life login splash screen under the progress bar when users log in to Second Life. //END OFF-TOPIC
  13. One hour later, Elite Runner came back to the Lindens and took a look at them. He hears their breath, their heartbeat and feels their skin. "Must not be NPCs after all". Nearby, they saw the same figures and Elite felt the figures. They even knocked on the figure then felt the Linden. "They made NPCs using pathhinging" He recently got the GridTalkie from SHINYbrand (Rez Gray) and radios the Team Elite crew that The Lindens created NPCs using Pathfinding. Elite took pics of the NPCs, then fires up the Grapple Mosaic 2 and posted the images on my.secondlife.com, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Flickr, even the Second Life forum. He tried to change the display name to Ryan R. Elite but he have to wait 24-36 hours since he recently changed his display name within the last 5-6 days. He then shuts down his Grapple Mosaic 2, puts his GridTalkie away, drops his Vetox FS freestyle simboard, then looks at his Team Elite clothing (see below), hops on his simboard and simboards around the Grid.
  14. I came across a website called http://stuffpoint.com/ in which you complete offers and/or tasks and redeem points for L$. You can also win points by contests and flash games. Then once you have enough, you redeem points for L$ or other things like a Facebook credits prepaid card, accessories and more. You will need 2000 points to get L$500.
  15. I am not sure what Second Life is heading at the moment. I better talk to the Lindens someday.
  16. 16 wrote: is this story the same as the other story that goes: buy my stuff ??? We have to start with a new one.
  17. Oh. The thread has been moved to the Games forum. I should've placed that in the wrong forum (General Discussion)! /me repeatively bangs head on simboard
  18. Remember the thread named A Second Life story that had dominated the spring and summer of 2011, that even was featured on the Second Life login splash screen when you login to Second Life? Let's start another one for 2012! Remember to keep it Second Life-related. Let me begin... One day in Second Life, a Linden named Rodvik Linden, CEO of Linden Lab met with Phillip Linden inworld discussing the future of Second Life while Oskar Linden and Maestro Linden was talking on the techincal side of Second Life and met with Rodvik and Phillip suddenly out of somewhere, Elite Runner, a Second Life resident and leader of Team Elite on his Vetox FS simboard simboards past the Lindens at 100 MPH and then stops and says: "Hello Rodvik, Phillip, Oskar and Maestro. Anything coming to Second Life in H2 2012?"
  19. This forced teleporation can be a hazard if someone simboards around, even when there's a simball game in progress. One team member can be knocked out if he or she faced a forced teleportation. This can also be troublesome to drivers who race, as one racer goes fast on a track going 200 MPH or so then BAM he gets teleported without warning, ejecting from his car and stopping a vehicle, causing it a hazard for other racers that that can cause a multi car collision. This can be a bad time for clubs also. Good thing LL is conducting an emergency deploy to fix this.
  20. Well, that was unexpected. Ima have to do a video recording of me simboarding, me practicing simball and me driving my car, but this has been delayed due to the emergency deploy. Ima have to do it either tomorrow or when the restarts complete later on tonight.
  21. I'm not sure that I have posted in the correct forum. I have created a group called Team Elite. It's a group for drifting, racing, simball, and FS simboarding. I am currently recruiting members. Members dress in special clothing and have the vehicle and simboards. Team Elite is looking for a FS simboard place to practice some FS simboarding. Members will practice simball at Jasmine Arena and/or at High Orbit Gaming. Members will drive at Skyhighatry designs, and at the oval track. If you are good at simboarding and/or driving/drifting, join Team Elite! Search Second Life on Team Elite! (Should be at the very top and it's a group)
  22. Tonight (2012.05.08-Tu), tomorrow night (2012.05.09-We) and Thursday night 2012.05.10-Th the Lindens will do scheduled mainteance beginning at 06:00pmPDT each day during the mainteance window. They expect to last about 8 hours. There is a good chance that the regions may be going down during the mainteance and residents may be logged out and will be unable to log back in until the mainteance concludes for the night. It says that "Please save all builds and refrain from rezzing no copy objects, as some regions may be taken offline and remain offline for extended periods of time" Just a heads up.
  23. PeterCanessa Oh wrote: Yes, I think the amount was different on the one that was talked about here a while ago but it is a common scam. File an abuse report. Dang it! (slaps hand on face) Should've filed an abuse report! And I was using Second Life Viewer 3.3.1 at the time, and not Firestorm, Phoenix or other TPV.
  24. Just last night after I logout from Second Life for the night, I received something unusual as I have IM to E-mail enabled I believe it is bogus. When I log on to Second Life, I received this: I noticed the SLURL of an object in the email and used that to find the object. It was coming from someone's Linden Home in which Premium members get. It was not at ground level, but at 3000 metres up, so I flew up to see the object. Once I see the area, the object is gone! Anyone else seeing this?
  25. One time in 2008, when I was searching Youtube on Fire Alarms I noticed an unusual video about fire alarms in a virtual world. I posted a comment on the Youtube video regarding what virtual world it was and he replied "Second Life", so I went to Google and searched Second Life, signed up an account named Elite Jigsaw and went on my journey in Second Life. This is my second account in Second Life (Ryan R. Elite (Elite Runner)) after my old account Elite Jigsaw went bonkers as I nuked Elite Jigsaw. Once I installed Second Life on my laptop, it seems slow. Then I tried Second Life on the desktop, it runs faster. In 2011, once I got a new computer, and once I tried Second Life under the right configurations, it runs ok.
