  1. I found the email frustrating and very vague. They still havent fixed the permissions issues. Along with my creations, I also sell amaretto bundles, which I dont have full perm to. I cannot move those over to DD until that issue is fixed, so yeah I still have some items in MB. There are also items that I migrated over that the permissions got screwed up on, and have not been able to fix (thanks lindens!). so what the heck??? This email felt almost out of context for me. If things aren't fixed and ready to go, then why send it???
  2. thanks everyone! making lots of notes. lol
  3. I just went to try and look at the skins at your shop but cant find any skins at the mall or club or marketplace... does anyone have a LM? thanks!
  4. I had a great photo service for a while but got frustrated cause I would give the photo shoot for free and allow them to choose and buy the photos, it worked well, but then people would come and let me set them up and start taking their *own* photos (while I was also doing the shoot) so I was wasting my time with them and with making the photos nice after. and I *love* photography both in sl and rl. too bad people just try to rip you off. and phoenix (idk if other viewers do too) has the setting that you know when someone is taking a picture). but yeah photography in sl is a blast, now I do it just to make myself and my friends happy.
  5. well I have gone in and set the items in the vendors different, so hopefully that will help, they are all set copy, no mod no trans, and hopefully people can tell this way. I dont have the extra lindens at the moment to re-upload a bunch more ads for the vendors to say everything on them. Honestly I never thought of that cause I seem to be in the minority but I dont usually look for perms unless I need something to be full perm, otherwise, I never really notice. anyway, its a work in progress and I am trying to take everyones suggestions and work with them best as I can. I also set up a group now, and set up a group gift for the first 25 people who join. its a nice gift with five skirts. they have five different sizes in each so I havent done demo yet, not sure how to do a demo one, I have to look into that. I'm good at creating, not so great at the pracitcal stuff. lol trying to learn and be better though. thanks everyone for the input!
  6. thanks everyone! I've set up a simple shop (on a cloud no less!) until I can settle on something better. Have a few more things to put up but anyone who wants to peek and give feedback is very welcome to! I realize its very basic. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kangchenjunga/83/223/1012

  8. Oh I come to cupcakes all the time! Idk if I have enough clothing yet for a big big store, but what I've been making is from MESH templates (for lack of a better word) and they are looking really nice, and though I have seen a handful of these styles in sl, it hasnt been much (though there is a nice size boho fair in world right now, but those rents were way too high for me) but yeah I am a cupcake group member, so Thanks, will drop you an email!
  9. I've been working on a line of bohemian style clothes, and started working with mesh and have some cute stuff (I think anyway lol I wouldnt market anything I wouldnt wear myself), but I am not quite sure how to get my stuff "out there" and get a following. I do fairly well with my non clothing creations on marketplace, but I would love a successful (at least mdestly huh, enough to pay the rent!) in world shop. I just wonder if there are any designers out there who have of course been in the place I am in, who mentor someone who is working hard to make a little clothing trendy shop work. Right now I am researching stores that sell similar clothes andmarketplaces where my things would fit in, so at least I would be around the right clientele. But Idk now people get a steady following. by word of mouth maybe? thanks!!!!!

I wish I was getting so many it annoyed me. OH Gawd *another* sale!!!! lol Bring it!!! .
  12. I would say package it up in a box and set that for sale. If you are just looking for a way to sell in world. I think thats the simplest thing to do. Maybe create a logo or design to make the box nicer, and you can set permissions and put it for sale and off you go. Hope that helps a bit!
  13. I received this response to my response and its actually pretty sad, because it is obvious they did not even read my response because they told me to do the same exact thing which I wasnt able to do the first time. My response is below it. Why do we even bother filing tickets???? Hello Arielle, I'm sorry the work around did not work for you. Please remember that this issue is caused by non-compliant 3rd Party Viewers. I would suggest to try the below steps once more just to verify that you do not need to restore the folder in your viewer. If the folder will not allow you to restore it, please move to the next step and log in with the most recent and official Second Life viewer. The Merchant outbox should work correctly in the official viewer. 1.) Log into Second Life using the Phoenix 1.6 viewer. 2.) Search your inventory for the 'Merchant Outbox' folder. 3.) Right click on the Folder and choose "Restore". 4.) Log out. 5.) Log into Second Life using the most recently updated and Official Second Life Viewer. If you continue to experience the same error and because our bug reporting system was recently revamped, please submit a bug report using the new system. Please be sure to reference WEB-4600 in your report. While our Support team is always happy to help, there are certain technical issues which can only be addressed via a development or engineering investigation. JIRA is a system designed to track, triage, and escalate bugs and system problems to our technical and design teams. (This can be found in Help > About Second Life) * Your computer specifications (from Help > About Second Life). * A description of the problem, explaining what you do / see / don't see, including any error messages displayed. * Step-by-step directions on how to reproduce your experience. * A screen-shot of what you are seeing. If you have further questions regarding this topic, please feel free to respond back to this ticket. For all other questions, please submit a new support ticket. Sincerely, Michaelb Scout Linden Lab Support MY RESPONSE: It would be fine to try and restore it again - however- if anyone had actually read my response, there is not "restore" option that comes up, so I could not try it the first time, nor would I be able to try it a second time. In doing my own research, I have been able to move the merchant outbox folder in my phoenix to the top level of my inventory and this (so far) is allowing me to go into a compatible viewer (in my case firestorm) and put items into the merchant outbox. Perhaps if anyone at sl technical help actually read our responses, we could get proper help and sl technical help could actually give us support that works. Thankfully there are sl residents who help each other through these things. Because sadly, it seems we are all we have. thanks anyway. I guess this can be closed now.
  14. ok so had logged out, boxed up a couple of more things and went back and its still working!!! so for anyone having this problem, move the merchant outbox to your main inventory section, it seems to work!!! now if they could just solve the permissions thing so I could move my non copy items we'd be all set!
  15. Heres something that just worked for me that I read on that report Jira page, I went into Phoenix and moved the merchant outbox into the main level of the inventory (that inventory folder right at the top) and went back to Firestorm and it worked. Idk if it will continue to work, will let everyone know! Fingers crossed that this solves the problem!
  16. OK I filed a ticket and got this response: Hello Arielle, Thank you for contacting Linden Lab Support. I'm truly sorry to learn that you are experiencing issues with the Second Life Marketplace. After reviewing your problem, I found that you are experiencing a known bug that our technical teams are working to resolve. You can review more about this known issue at the below Jira website. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4600 This bug is caused by non-compliant 3rd Party Viewers, specifically Phoenix 1.6. Phoenix sees the Merchant Outbox as a normal folder when it is in fact a System Folder that should not be moved or deleted. When the folder is moved or deleted, it stops working and prompts you to Create a Store. As a work around, please do the following. The Merchant outbox should now work correctly. While our Support team is always happy to help, there are certain technical issues which can only be addressed via a development or engineering investigation. JIRA is a system designed to track, triage, and escalate bugs and system problems to our technical and design teams. System and program bugs or errors with the Second Life software, server function, or website can be reported in this fashion. If you have further questions regarding this topic, please feel free to respond back to this ticket. For all other questions, please submit a new support ticket Which is fine and dandy except, as I wrote back... Hi thanks very much. Though the issue is happening in Firestorm, I logged into Phoenix, found the merchant outbox and right clicked. However, it does not give me an option that says "restore". I logged out and into Firestorm and looked for the merchant outbox in my inventory, but it does not even come up there. Is there anything else I can try? thanks very much. and so the adventure... or misadventure! continues... .
  17. ahhhh its doing it again! logging in and out that worked before not working again. am I going to have to jump through hoops everytime I need to add something??? argh!!!!!!!!! why cant they leave well enough alone. sigh.
  18. thanks everyone! Nalates that worked! I am still having some issues but I have agood portion of the items moved now at least so it is a start!
  19. thanks I will try finling a ticket. will post the results here, maybe they will help someone else who has this problem. Thanks so much for your help Marcus!
  20. alas. still no luck. If I can't move this stuff over I am gonna be in trouble. Is this something I can file a ticket on? Idk if that would even do me any good.
  21. Hey I'll try anything that might work. will give it a try as soon as I log back in, thanks!
  22. I am trying to migrate my items to the direct delivery. However, my merchant outbox window keeps telling me to create a store. I have logged in and out of marketplace (yes completely) numerous times, tried it in a different browser, logged out, waited a while and logged back in, tried teleporting to a different place and trying it, in short every trick I could find posted to help but none of them are working. sigh. Never mind that I use Phoenix asmy browser and had to install firestorm to do this and will need to go back and forth between browers everytime I have to add or change items in my marketplace now. But I digress. If I could at least get the merchant outbox to find my store and let me start moving things, it would really help. I wish we could just leave things as is, but that probably won't happen, so if anyone knows how to remedy this, I would be greatly appreciative!!!
  23. I wasn't sure where to ask this, so my apologies if this is the wrong place. I updated my account email., I've done this before and never had a problem but its partially updated- what I mean is, I am a vendor in marketplace. My email there is showing up as the old email, but when I click on it to fix it, the correct email is there, and the correct email is in world. So, I am getting my in world IM's and such at the right email, but any notifications from the marketplace go to the old email. On my account page for marketplace the old email shows up but when I click to change it, it shows the right email in the box. No matterhow many times I click to update it, marketplace is still showing the wrong email, and is still using that email. When I have changed email previously, there has never been an issue. Not sure if I need to file a ticket on this? It's not really an in world issue. Thanks for any input!
