I cam my avi all day long I am currently using WL Nam's Optimal Skin 2, it seems to make my avi look perfect to me. @OP give that WL setting a try. Also CalWL and AnaLutetia - AvatarOpt2 Whiter seem to make your avi look great, well to me at least.
  4. Syo Emerald wrote: Wearing a facelight says: "I don't care about windlightsettings" I had to turn off attached lights, because of all the facelights which influenced not only the environment, but also my avatar. Some people even wear 3-5 different lights all around their body. This^ I just recently learned that other people's facelights affect the way my avatar looks (a mesh avatar). I have never hated facelight wearers more than I do now. I had to turn off local lighting to stop other people's facelights affecting the way my mesh avi looks. @OP, Facelights are so 2008. You simply just no longer need them, you can use a windlight setting that suits your needs without affecting other people around you.
  5. That is done on the land settings. You need to uncheck both the Everyone and Group boxes on creat objects and object entry. The bed will still rez the balls if the owner of the bed has the proper rez ability.
  6. I agree. It is sad though that even he most experienced sim owners will not do this. The common misconception is that "inventory does not get lost. Clear cache and relog" I've heard it many times.
  7. It is never wise to send objects in one huge lump. It is best to have people pick things up one a time. For many years it is known that many times No Copy items may get lost this way. You will never be able to get them back if that was the case. As Rolig said check and make sure that things are not in a coalesced object, if they are be very careful when you rez them if the object contains No Copy items. Make sure you are in big enough parcel and have the ability to rez. If the bed and fennux are not in any of the coalesced objects then you are s.o.l. you will not get them back unless the merchants you've bought them from are accommodating and replace your lost items. For the fennux I know it is easy is you know which fennux you lost they will get replaced. Good luck.
  8. I'm not quite sure I understand your question. If ability to rez is turned off on about land settings then nobody who is not allowed to rez should be able to rez. However if there is a something like a bed that belongs to someone with the ability to rez or group owned then the poseballs will rez regardless if it's being clicked by someone without the ability to rez, this is because the bed settings are independent from the land settings. If you don't want anyone to use your bed then change the settings on the bed. Most beds will let you choose if you want to allow only the owner, the group, or anyone to use the bed.
  9. If you want free then you can try the starter avatars available free from your inventory. Otherwise shop around you may find inexpensive ones you can purchase.

  12. I've been in SL since 2004 in one form or another and in all this time I have only blocked 3 people recently because they were spamming me. I am not easily offended because I don't take people who are not important to me seriously. Normally I just laugh at their dumb crap and go on about my business I find fools and trolls to be amusing. In RL I am the same way.
  13. For inworld purchases and transactions unfortunately no. For things you purchased on Marketplace you can, just go on transaction history from the Marketplace website.
  14. No you cannot. However you can use a text only client for android.
  15. To add to Rolig's perfect answer let me just say that I hope you are lucky and all your items have been returned. When things get returned with the return all in about land, the possibility to forever lose No Copy objects is great specially if you were offline when they were returned. Hopefully in your case you get it all back, if not then you learned a lesson for next time.
  16. Those vote boxes are a waste of prims. My obvious questions is, if you are trying to get traffic into your club then why wouldn't you have it listed in search in the first place?
  17. When you decided to join the group and pay to join, you get a popup asking you to confirm. If you clicked to accept the transaction you are acknowledging and agreeing to pay. Furthermore Lindens don't read this forum so you will not get a reply from any official Linden Lab employee we are all just residents like you. You can try creating a support ticket but I wouldn't expect to get the money back. Take it as a lesson learned and read what you are clicking "Ok" to.
  18. Make sure you are not in a SSA (server side appearance) enabled region. If you are then you MUST have an SSA enabled viewer or all you will see is gray avis. When SSA goes live on the entire grid all avis will be gray unless you update your viewer.
  19. Lindens don't read this forum. Best way to get Linden attention is to create a support ticket or use live chat.
  20. Did you try reinstalling? Make sure that when you reinstall you wipe out all existing files. I am a Linux user so I can't tell you where it would be found on windows (I've forgotten windows by now) but if memory serves me right it should be on appdata or something of the sort. Uninstalling the previous viewer does not get rid of these settings, cache, etc. Files so you need to do it manually.
  21. Did you change your viewer preferences to allow adult material? Avatar > Preferences > General > I want to access content rated:
  22. Try a different browser to download it. If that fails get a friend to download the installer and email it to you or use dropbox.
  23. If you are the original content creator then file a DMCA. If you are not the original content creator then contact the original creator and let them know so THEY can file a DMCA. That is the only way LL will take a product down.
  24. jwenting wrote: if you're so unhappy about SL, why don't you just close your account and leave us in peace, troll? So LL buys another company, a company probably owning some technology LL thinks fits in well with their plans. Good luck to them, hope it works out and isn't a lemon. Nobody here is trolling, except you.
