  1. Hello Lauradante and welcome to SL Forums. At first please check out the following link. It's about Trading and Billing limits: https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/describe-limits.php? Your trading limit starts from when you buy lindens for first time and it get increased after it every week untill to reach level 1 (2500 USD / month). In addition anytime you can purchase (more lindens) using one of the acceptable Third Party Excanges: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Linden_Dollar_Marketplace
  2. Hello DitzyDee. If you're thinking about canceling your account, consider leaving it active with a basic membership, which costs nothing to maintain. If at some point in the future you should choose to revisit Second Life, your avatar and your inventory will be here waiting for you. You can always update or discontinue your membership plan by going to the Cancel Account page after logging in with your Second Life username and password. This link is also accessible through the Account section on the left of your Dashboard. Once logged in, find the Cancel Account button at the bottom of the page. Your account will remain open until your billing review date, as account maintenance fees are paid in advance. If you want to keep your name for possible future use but don't want to pay the US$9.95 reactivation fee, simply downgrade to a basic account.
  3. Hello Cyprinus and welcome to SL Forums. You can't open your folders because obviously your inventory is not fully loaded. Open the second tab of your inventory (called Recent in V2 or V3) and wait fetching all your items till the last one. During this process avoid to do something else like teleporting, moving, chatting. When fetching (downloading) finishes try to open again your folders. If still you can't follow Nyll's suggestions.
  4. Hello SamuraiHakai and welcome to SL Forums. Please check out the following link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linux_Viewer If you can't find a solution follow the instructions there about how to get more help. Good luck.
  5. Hello Paknikita1 and welcome to SL Forums. Last days many users have problems with Marketplace especially after the Marketplace Maintenance in 13th of September. Yesterday also we had log in issues there but it seems that it has been resolved now for most of the users. Clear your browser's cache (under Menu Tools --> Internet Options if you use Internet Explorer), relog in your dashboard and if doesn't work try another browser (Firefox, Opera etc). If you can't fix the problem, submit a ticket https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace issues and wait for reply. Good luck.
  6. Hello wolfwilder and welcome to SL Forums. To view your Account Summary, log into secondlife.com and choose Account > Account Summary. To view the Billing Info page, choose Account > Update Billing Info. Here you can update and delete your billing information.
  7. Hello Sapphire. You are the fifth who asks about that last 2 days. No worries and trust only official LL's announcements.
  8. Hello Endora. There are many reasons for a credit card failure. Difficult to answer what exactly is wrong: The credit card number was entered incorrectly. The billing address was not entered or was entered incorrectly. It should be the same address that appears on your bill. The name on the card was not entered or was not entered as it appears on the card. The credit card is not in the list of accepted payment methods (we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, or PayPal). The CVV (3 digits on the back, or 4 digits on the front for AmEx) was not entered or was entered incorrectly. The card is expired, or the expiration date was entered incorrectly. There are no funds available on the credit card to validate it. We send a US$1.00 authorization to ensure that a credit card is valid. This is not a billing, but the card must have at least US$1.00 available on it to pass validation. Your monthly payment limit is reached, and/or your bank is not authorizing any more transactions. The issuing bank has not pre-approved transactions with Linden Research, Inc. Contact the issuing bank to resolve the problem. If you are outside the US, your card may not be set up for international/overseas transactions (this is very common with Visa Electron). If none of the above applies to you, contact your credit card provider to determine the cause. If you can't fix the problem contact LL's billing team directly using the phone numbers on the Billing Support page. If none of those numbers are in your Country you can email to: support@payments.secondlife.com Good luck.
  9. Hello Airway and welcome to SL Forums. If you are in a Sandbox, you are in the right way. With simple words drag the box on the ground. When you see it --> right click on it --> Open --> Copy to inventory. That's all. You are ready to use your stuff. You wear the items with right click on them one by one and wear or add. For more details, please check out the following link: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Opening-boxes/ta-p/700185 Let us know if you need something more specific editing your post (Options --> Edit)
  10. Hello again JakeRingtail. In addition Rolig's answer you can try to use the toll free numbers to speak directly with LL asking for support. They are most for billing issues but several users got help this way. You find them here. On the other side try if it is possible to fix the problem alone as Rolig suggested and also me in your previous thread some earlier. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/Login-Failed/qaq-p/1107061 (The mail is correct. Maybe you get a reply in Japanese because accidentally you changed the codification in your browser under Menu View if you use Internet Explorer).
  11. Hello Trassie. Here is the SL Questions and Answers page. If you have a problem or a question about Second Life we would glad to help you. If you are looking for something is preferable to use the Wanted Category in Forums. Thank you.
  12. Hello Matts. Usually when you try to log in and you see "Login in............" for ever, means problems with your internet connection. Try the following: 1)Power down your modem / router for at least 2 mins and after restart your computer, power on again and try to log in. This step can often fix routing issues and other connection-related problems. 2)Try to log in different region. Protected lands arround like Smith or Lime are recommended. If you don't know how to do this look here. 3)If you use wireless connection, prefer direct cable connection (if it is possible) 4)Avoid to run other applications when you try to log in 5)Re-write both your username and your password in your log in sceen. Sounds silly but sometimes, it helps. 6)Set your graphics quality in low in your log in screen under Menu Me --> Preferences --> Graphics Tab 7)Clear your cache again under Menu Me --> Preferences --> Privacy tab --> Clear History. Let us know if you fixed the problem or you need more help. Good luck.
  13. Hello Lyric. The fact is that many users have problems with Marketplace, especially after the Marketplace Maintenance in 13th of September. On the other side performance on the site (for most users) is back to normal again. Clear your browser's cache and relog to your dashboard. Alternatively try another browser. If the problem remains, submit a ticket https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace issues and wait for a reply. Good luck.
  14. Hello DaynaG. The boxes you have in your inventory include contests. Do you unpack (open) your boxes?
  15. Hello IQce and welcome to SL Forums. If you are the owner of the group and the only one with the rights to change roles names, log in with an alt and suggest to all the members to leave of the group. When you will stay alone (the only member) your group in 48 hours will stop to exist, so your problem will get resolved. Good luck.
  16. Hello Tiffany. Normally you must to wait up to 24 hours. That's what officially LL reports. If this time expires and you are sure that you didin't recieve your purchases, submit a ticket https://suport.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain analytically what happens and wait for a reply. Be sure that someone will help you. Alternatively open your Dashboard --> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant(s) got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases (there you see the name of the merchant)--> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery. Good luck.
  17. Hello. Clear your browser's cache, relog in your dashboard and if the problem remains, try another browser. If you achieve to clear your shopping cart, avoid to put many items there again because it is one of the leading causes of delivery failure.
  18. No worries. You are the forth in queue who asks the same last 2 days. Trust only official announcements by Linden Lab.
  19. Hello NikSiny and welcome to SL Forums. Difficult to say, there are so many reasons: (From http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Billing/ta-p/700037 ) The credit card number was entered incorrectly. 20. Hello Navitus. Normally you must to wait up to 24 hours. That's what LL officially reports. If this time expires and you are sure that you didin't recieve your purchases, submit a ticket https://suport.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain analytically what happens and wait for a reply. Be sure that someone will help you. You can follow of course Vallerie's suggestion. Good luck.
  21. Hello Misty. We had several issues with Marketplace last days, especially after the Marketplace Maintenance, although often in past also many residents had problems with gifts there. The best you can do is to submit a ticket https://suport.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain analytically what happens and wait for a reply. Be sure that someone will help you. Good luck.
  22. Hello brunaland and welcome to SL Forums. As reported in http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Login-failure/ta-p/700109 If you believe that this is an error, submit a support ticket via the support portal. To help customer support determine what block has been placed and why, include in the ticket your Second Life account name and any Second Life accounts that log in from your location. In addition you can use the toll free numbers to contact directly LL although they are most for billing issues. Several users got help this way. You will find them here: https://support.secondlife.com/billing-support/ Alternatively mail to support@secondlife.com. Good luck.
