  1. Hello Kara and welcome to SL Forums. Try to submit a ticket https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ or mail to support@secondlife.com and wait for a reply. It's possible to take time. Alternatively if your account is a new one, you haven't i assume something to lose (inventory, lindens etc), so create a new account. Good luck.
  2. Hello BadBoyBilly. If you mean that you can't log in world, we have currently issues in world with Rolling Restarts. See: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ and watch for updates. For now, try to log in a different region like Smith or Lime. If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. About your second question, if you don't get an error message, wait a little more because often there are delays especially if it is your first time you buy lindens. If eventually you don't get your lindens, depending your country call at the following numbers. They all toll-free numbers for billing issues and LL's support team is available 24/7. Toll-Free (US/Canada) 800.294.1067 Long-Distance 703.286.6277 * France: 0805.101.490 * Germany: 0800.664.5510 * Japan: 0066.33.132.830 * Portugal: 800.814.450 * Spain: 800.300.560 * UK: 0800.048.4646 * Support is in English Only If none of those numbers are in your Country you can email to: support@payments.secondlife.com Good luck.
  3. Hello recerredline and welcome to SL Forums. As Vallerie said, we have an official announcement by LL for rolling restarts. Please see: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ My suggestion is to try to log in a different region like Smith or Lime and watch this space for updates. If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login.
  4. Hello Twista and welcome to SL Forums. Not sure. Here you can see some causes for a CC's failure: The credit card number was entered incorrectly. The billing address was not entered or was entered incorrectly. It should be the same address that appears on your bill. The name on the card was not entered or was not entered as it appears on the card. The credit card is not in the list of accepted payment methods (we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, or PayPal). The CVV (3 digits on the back, or 4 digits on the front for AmEx) was not entered or was entered incorrectly. The card is expired, or the expiration date was entered incorrectly. There are no funds available on the credit card to validate it. We send a US$1.00 authorization to ensure that a credit card is valid. This is not a billing, but the card must have at least US$1.00 available on it to pass validation. Your monthly payment limit is reached, and/or your bank is not authorizing any more transactions. The issuing bank has not pre-approved transactions with Linden Research, Inc. Contact the issuing bank to resolve the problem. If you are outside the US, your card may not be set up for international/overseas transactions (this is very common with Visa Electron). If none of the above applies to you, contact your credit card provider to determine the cause. You can also call LL's billing team directly using the phone numbers on the Billing Support page. Alternatively if you urgently need to buy lindens you can use one of the acceptable Third-Party Exchanges: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Linden_Dollar_Marketplace Good luck.

  6. Hello candice and welcome to SL Forums. If you cancel or downgrade your account from premium, you may still be charged for your current month's land holdings. As reported at http://secondlife.com/land/pricing.php Land use fees are billed based on the peak amount of land held during your previous 30 day billing cycle. This includes land parcels held and land tiers donated to groups... Peak usage is measured by the maximum amount of land you held — for any length of time — during your billing cycle. Thus you are always charged for your premium membership and the maximum amount land you owned during the current billing cycle, regardless of whether you cancelled your account before the end of the month.

  10. Hello Taps and welcome to SL Forums. Noone "forced" you to install the new version. You had in your preferences the option "Software updates: Install automatically". If you have problems with the new version download again the previous one and set your software updates no to be installed automatically (Preferences --> Setup --> Hardware). You can find the previous version at the following link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Supported_Viewers If the problem remains, try a Third-Party viewer: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory Good luck. (Advice: If you still have problems, try to log in a protected land without lag like Smith or Lime and wait there till your inventory is fully loaded, opening the second tab of it called "Recent")
  11. Hello Colin. Oh yes you are a Honored Resident now (look your badge). This is your new rank. The Resident's rank (as the Member also) has 3 gradations. 1) New Resident 2)Recognized Resident 3)Honored Resident, although they are not reported analytically in http://community.secondlife.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/ranksroles#ranksroles
  12. Hello Bastila and welcome to SL Forums. It is easy. In V2 or V3 open your profile and go to the second tab called "My picks". Click the small cross down there --> New Pick --> Save Pic. That's all. To delete a pick, just right click on it and Delete.

    script overload

Hello Fazio. It being assumed that all residents on one sim share the resources of one server, too many scripted objects and physical objects causing collisions on a sim and all its residents will feel the same lag. This type of lag is caused by residents and their objects, if this server has to work too hard and cannot keep up with the demands of the residents currently in it. Too many highly scripted objects running in one parcel can lag the whole server down and everyone in that server will experience it. That's why several landowners arround don't allow scripts run higher than 0.150 ms. That's very summary what i know about.
  15. Hello paliacho and welcome to SL Forums. If you see you avatar this way, means that it is not fully loaded. Try the solutions described at the following link one by one in a queue. They work for all viewers. Keep in touch here and let us know if you fixed the problem or you need more help. Good luck. http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_bake_fail
  16. Hello Debbie and welcome to SL Forums. Try an avatar test. You find it Under Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) --> Avatar --> Character Tests --> Test Male / Female, in V2 and V3 and under Menu Advanced in Phoenix (Ctrl+Alt+D) --> Character --> Character Tests --> Test Male / Female. You wil see your avatar like a newbie but after you can change outfit. Alternatively try to contact the creator. Try to speak and if he is not online, send a notecard. You can also (if the item is full permissions) to read the script. Right click on it --> Edit --> Contests. There you can find the safeword. Good luck.
  17. Hello Ivan and welcome to SL Forums. Assuming that you are a premium member and also that you have this problem long time now as you said, have you ever tried to use the Live Chat to get support? https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ The option for Live Chat is on the right.
  18. Duplicated post: Answers at: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Everything-Else/I-need-help-as-soon-as-possible/qaq-p/1114887 (If you find food, run first! If you find fight, run away!)
  19. Hello BabyeeNicolex. The first you have to do is to remove the resident's name by your post. It is a violation of the community guidelines and it is strictly forbidden. To do that, edit your post (Options --> Edit). About your problem now. Here is a public forum for residents. We are simply users like you and no the Lindens. The best you can do is to Report her. You will find the option under Menu Help --> Report Abuse and follow the instructions. In addition run away and don't hang out in the same places with her. SL is a huge virtual world. You can find other wonderful places.
  20. Hello Mary. Obviously the problem is relative with your graphics card. Get the last drives and see if that helps. If not, maybe you need to replace your card with a better one. For AMD: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx For Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us You can edit your post (Options --> Edit) adding your computer's specs.
  21. Hello Kcyrius. Radeon X1600 is a very old card. If i am right released in 2005? I think you need much better graphics card if you want to enjoy your SL and to run it without problems.
  22. Hello Megan. Everything you need is at the following link: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/personalization#personalization
  23. Hello Megan. You haven't to follow a special procedure about it. You can write in your profile and she (avatar's name) is your sister and the opposite.
