  2. Lexie Linden wrote: Here is the Off Topic forum many of you have asked to have. Please remember it is important to follow the guidelines in this forum. :smileyhappy: Very daring move. I do hope everybody makes their most of it. Isoroku Yamamoto said : "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant."
  3. Venus Petrov wrote: And, adult-rated. /me smiles wickedly That will be a fine line without the facilitation you already suggested like a secluded section of the forums. The forum feedback-thread should be used. You might get what you wish for .. but that would exclude me .. by choice of course .. ^.^
  4. Why you reddish cheesehead !!! :smileymad: Even after I retracted my boob remark !! :smileysad: Hope has nothing to do with it. This will be tested. These new forums should still help the company to substantiate the course set along their preffered rating system. I do believe it will be interesting to watch it's developments.
  5. Caitlin Tobias wrote: Wilhiam Hydraconis wrote: Collaboration works both ways. LOL. That's what 'collaborateurs' say... You watch it .. you're going for a first Godwin in the Off topic section here ..
  6. Cato Badger wrote: Now all we have to do is convince them that the Off Topic Forum should be allowed to be self-moderating. I will not try to. The moderators should have many means of moderation availiable that will be interesting to observe. The boundaries of PG, M and A in these areas will be set stricter to reflect the course the company intends for the near future.
  7. Dale Innis wrote: Of course we can't talk about off-topic issues here, because this is the off-topic forum, so talking about off-topic issues would be on-topic, and you can't be on-topic in the off-topic forum!! Exactly , Dale. Of course there will remain moderation, which could be become more stricter in the other sections. We will see.
  8. Cato Badger wrote: I guess it just goes to show that LL can be bullied into doing something they didn't want to do. Does that mean that they, as Pep insists of all attention whores involved in forums, are masochists? I think this software and their new team of moderation will be better matched up in containing this sandbox of Off Topic-thread creation. It will be interesting to see which topic sprout out now within the margins of set ratings of P, M and A. I disagree they have been bullied. Collaboration works both ways.
  9. Hey Miss Piggy ! Good to see you .. ^.^ /me withholds a croack.
  10. /me pinches his eyes trying to read what Hippie writes. >.< Hippie ? .. Dude .. why you type that small ?
  11. /me looks at Monalisa's changing badge .. Ooh .. anim gif ? Cool what yer did there.
  12. Scylla Rhiadra wrote: And maybe there will be some sort of positive announcement in the next day or so about a new GD, or an equivalent. But as things stand here, I can't see myself coming back as a regular poster. It's not merely the lack of a GD forum; it seems that it is going to be pretty much impossible to have an open and serious discussion about anything here that isn't fluffy and bunny-like. Perhaps you should take this sentiment to the Forum Feedback- thread, Scylla. You are not the only one, although I personally do not share your pessimism that this new concept is not worth bothering with without the General Discussions as we knew it. I also believe there should be room for something similar like the old GD but within these new boundaries which should make all parties involved happy, but then again, it's LL's call to show first signs in 'collaboration' towards that. And no ... I didn' t miss you either .. ;P /me smirks.
  13. mariah Shackleton wrote: Who dropped this? Ooh .. I did .. Thanks. I'd might miss it later .. ^.^
  14. Randall Ahren wrote: You're a tough kitty, aren't you? What can I say? I have a really boring RL. I'm lucky to even have a SL. Dude .. I ain't all that tough .. but you shoulda gotten a bike and cruise through SL or something. 'Waiting' anxiously for the forums as if they come out of some coma does not point to an exillerating SL as well .. :smileyindifferent: Sure you're not itsy bitsy wimpy ? ;P
  15. /me slaps you hard in the neck with a dead chicken. Missed nobody at all. Was just shutdown for a week. Congrats .. you're my first 'GET A LIFE !!!!' -yell. :robotmad: /me yells : GET A LIFE !!! (Gawd that felt good.. :smileyvery-happy:).
  16. I tried myself and did NOT need your help at all. Ok ... I'm of course lying .. sneakpeeked once or twice and kept fiddling. I'm through fiddling with the forumavatar-pic now, grumpy and should quit with it already.. :smileyindifferent: I don't know if it's browser related, but the pic-dimensions I used differs. I better check it now with another system. Good helpful post, Sus. :smileywink:
  17. /me smirks broadly. Tsk, tsk, tsk, my dear 'lost' one. We / they never belonged in the first place ... = ^.^ = I point you to the Forum feedback started by Lexie Linden though. Seems initially all this new setup was without a GD section like there used to be in mind. They might change their minds over time, but I'm not going to try to make them though. Maybe you should.
  18. Prokofy Neva wrote: Why am I "Honoured Resident" and you are only "Resident"? You're older than me. Shrug over it already, Prok. It's the same distinction one could make between comrade or honored comrade before being sent off to the Gulag.
  19. As a feedback I find it should be considered adding an option for flat / threadened - view ( not the view Lexie mentioned earlier) or the ability to see who is replying to whom. So far it's troublesome / confusing to follow the general line of conversation of a thread. :smileyindifferent:
  20. Hehe .. die Spanier haben das erste internazionale Bericht angemacht im neuen Forum . Würde nicht als Niederländer ein erster Deutscher Anfang machen, aber schliesse mich gerne in der Reihe an ..
  21. Lexie Linden wrote: Submit your Second Life Forums feedback in this thread please! Since YOU are the Community Manager I'd ask you first to lengthen your post, but I'll help you on your way : since Lindens like you are here now in these revised forums along with moderators, what happened exactly to the option of having General Discussions and will they return in any form later ? Obviously the new concept is not pre-created with one in mind, but I think some people want to be specifically told officially wether this new approach is meant to facilitate these kind of discussions ( non-SL related ) or not.
  22. Be careful what you wish for , D . *whisper* /me sees a certain 'Mike Moderator' logging into the forums. = *.- = Somehow I think the old GD days are over ... = =
  23. /me looks one post up ... :smileysurprised: Oooooohhhh ... :smileyhappy: Hmmm... Posting images seems to work alright for me then .... ^.^
  24. I won't tell you, 'cause I dun wanna >.< .. :robottongue: Welcome back too , Venus .. :robothappy: *grmbl* Damn smilies post like supertext ... -.-
