What it all boils down to is, lets see if we can suck all the fun out of everything. Some people want everything to be dour and joyless, to match their own lives -
Diversity and Inclusion in Second Life

the thing is since at least 50% of females in SL are males in RL, a large percentage of the sl females engaging in misogeny are in fact rl males experiencing it from the other perspective. Perfectly fine, your second life, your imagination š -

now that Love has changed the thread title, I believe diversity and inclusion is 100% embrased in second life, but it goes both ways, so you are also free to exclude anyone you wish from your second life. Now if only RL was like that š -
If one wants to avoid ims, they should set their status to unavailable. Any im from anyone will send a prewritten reply. You can then choose who to respond to, if and when. It works on annoying horny friends too š

oh, its discrimination against white men, thats perfectly acceptable, in second life and in real life. thats what DEI is all about -

lots of venues promote black supremacy, why not mention those? bottom line, in second life anything except pedophilia is allowed as long as you call it roleplay -

The fight against real racism ended successfully before most of us were born. The fight against āracismā today is one giant scam to get money and favors. -

You will never ever see a straight white couple portrayed in any LL advertising, but that is standard all across the advertising industry. -

LOL, so you are saying LL doesnāt actually support BLM, they just do it to keep making money? (Just like all those other companies that āsupportā BLM no doubt). By the way the BLM leadership was outed as race baiting grifters quite some time ago. But I called them out back in 2020 if anyone wants to look up my post. š -

Its because they dont want BLM picketing in front of their headquarters, not that BLM signs on businesses in 2020 saved owners during the āmostly peacefulā protests -

The only group that is under represented in second life advertizing are straight white people, who ironically probably make up the majority of people in second life. -

discussing DEI inside second life itself is kind of silly. Are people suggesting that there is racism in the hiring of dancers, hosts and djās or regarding creators? Since we know nothing of the RL person behind the avatar, perhaps its being suggested that DEI be incorporated in second life so that minority AVATARS get equal opportunities and representation? -

When a company says we are no longer going to hire the best of the best, but are instead going to hire someone based on DEI criterion, it is NEVER a good thing. There are too many white airline pilots so we are going to be more inclusive, even if it means lowering our standards Umm no thanks, i think Iāll drive -
Diversity and Inclusion in Second Life
BilliJo Aldrin replied to Love Zhaoying's topic in General Discussion Forum
what is the faulty premise and the unrealistic imagined scenario? You have basically said its ok to discriminate against white males in order to give others a āchanceā. DEI is basically racist, there is no way around it. -

Iām not assuming that at all, but if hiring was totally blind, and you ended up hiring all white guys, youād be accused of racism. but but but i just hired best qualified each time, i canāt help that they were all white. Thats no excuse, now go hire some people from disadvantaged groups and stop being so racist. Is ability itself perhaps racist? That opens a whole can of worms that I refuse to discuss in here. š -

Unfortunatly I donāt misunderstand at allā¦. boss i have this amazing applicant, years of experience, amazing references, he is just what we need. What is he? Oh he is a white male? Nope, we have too many of them , so tell him sorry, and go hire the best candidate that checks off all the boxes we need to check off, we donāt want to be accused of being non inclusive. š -

Oh you have been by my place on Zindra have you? But in my case, you are only half right, its just my neighbor across the street that has the angry signs. Oh and cannons too, anyone can fire a cannon at my place, too bad for my neighbor though, across the road is the next sim over, plus im pretty sure no object entry stops his cannon balls at the edge of the road, so he might as well be shooting blanks, like so many that suffer from acute TDS. š -
I doubt it would work, if for example you asked AI Abraham Lincoln about contempory issues of his time, the answers would most likely be totally pc and totally useless
