  1. Hi, I have over 350 items on my marketplace that have this bug. I contacted support on the 17th April and after some back and forth communication I was eventually told that the dev team have identified some bugs that are linked to Slurls. I was advised to try and delete any SLurls - save- then try and activate it. But I cannot "list" and the "active" button is greyed out like yours. This applies to listings that never had SLurls in them and those that did and I deleted and tried to list after I saved. I have updated my ticket to inform them that this "bug" does not seem to be associated with SLurls as far as my experience is concerned. I was told, if the "active" button is still greyed out, even after removing SLurls and saving etc.. Then I will have to wait till the dev team fix these bugs and was assured they were working on it as fast as they could. CLEARLY NOT WEEK-ENDS HOWEVER!! **Based on my observations** It IS frustrating...And worrying. The SL Marketplace provides me with a significant part of my real life income and every day I am unable to list my products its income lost and I am a "hands on" type of person... so its VERY frustrating to be left hanging with greyed out buttons and error messages not only for older products I am trying to re activate but also I cannot even add new products to the marketplace. So I feel your frustration
  2. lol It actually gets my my **bleep** when people dress ther dogs like dollies! ....THEY'RE DOGS! People treat dogs like babies then they wonder why they have behavior problems like separation anxiety or domination aggression or whining over weight dogs whos teeth are rotten from all the sugar and crap their owners feed them like birthday cakes or Christmas junk.. Just saying!
  3. I almost replied with: "Really?" Then I checked your sig link out and realised I am an absolute prat
  4. And THAT was why I kept on putting the migration off! ha!
  5. Okay so... The reason why I have 350+ products unpublished on the Marketplace is because of the information provided by Support staff below. At least I know and am not sat at the PC tearing my hair out trying to "Activate" listings that won't allow me to or edit listings that are shown as DD but refuse to update and go live! From Support Staff The items actually got listed during testing by the Dev Team. There is an issue with some listings where if they have an SLurl that is entered the system may see the SLurl as invalid and display a not very helpful error message. The products that were on your Unlisted section that had already been migrated to Direct Delivery were affected by that issue. The Dev Team wiped out the SLurls on those listings and were able to activate them after the SLurls were removed. Items that show as being migrated to Direct Delivery but showing under the All section and not the Unlisted section are affected by another issue that the Dev Team is currently working to resolve. My only suggestion for the item that you were able to re-upload is to check to see if there is an SLurl entered on the listing and if so, remove it. After removing the SLurl and updating the listing, locate the entry for the item on your Manage Listings page and click the greyed out check mark to see if the listing will become active. If it does not, then it will be necessary to wait for the Dev Team to complete their fix and get it released to the web site. They are working to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
  6. Thanks for the replies...they made me laugh. I was in such a pro active "MUST HOUSE TRAIN PUPPPY" when I first got her I was stressed and missing out on the good times for a few weeks....much more chilled now. She's a good girl, puppies want to please at the end of the day... its up to us to show them how to please us and the best way to do that is positive re inforcement - Most of my clothes, including my PJs have dog treats in the pockets! lol
  7. lol Seems I have been spending too much time in Facebook...I was actually looking for the "Like" button on your post
  8. Well, yes and no. It won't allow you to add more than 100 at the same time anyway so that's what I attempted to do but ended up with duplicates as a result so I then later went through it and deleted the duplicates then sent them all and the folders all vanished.
  9. Well, for some reason, some of the products have now gone live (about 98 I think) with all of the Unassociated Items vanishing and the remaining products still showing as linked to the magic boxes. If I try to edit any of the ones listed as associated with Magic Boxes (the list in red/pink) nothing happens. Not sure if the rest will somehow make it through like the 98 that have appeared or whether I should try and relist them one at a time but then maybe I will be making matters worse by messing about. There does not appear to be a specific reason why those that have been published have, whilst other haven't. If I reset the relevance drop down to "Newest" then it appears the recent products all appear to be there... I guess I should wait it out for a week and see what happens
  10. This is Coco (bean) She is a 5 month old Mini Dachshund. We got her when she was 15 weeks old, had her 5 weeks now. It's my first puppy but I have had several rescue Basset Hounds and I rehomed a 5 year old mini Dachshund called Harvey who we still have. Harvey developed rear leg paralysis in Sept 2012 due to disc trauma. It's a common problem with the breed due to their long spines. He is 85% recovered now but he can only "bonny hop" when he tries to run and can't walk too far. Here are some more puppy pics :)
  11. Is it normal for all the folders to just vanish from the Merchant Outbox when you send them to the Marketplace? They all just one by one "went" and now my outbox is empty when I look at it in world. Also, I added two new poducts via the DD method a day or two before I did the migration and they were listed perfectly, they are the only two active products my store now displays! lol
  12. In reverse. I actually don't frequent the forums much at all. I think I have less than 200 posts in 9 years of being LillyBeth Filth I have no excuse really other than wanting to wait till all the kinks were ironed out before I did the migration. I rarely log into SL unless to upload or deal with a customer query and most of them are handled by staff. Most of my time is spent creating or uploading to various none SL related graphic websites. Also, I have a belief that "If it aint broke, don't fix it" I was putting off doing the migration exactly because of what has happened. I just knew there would be some technical issue...perhaps the irony is it is "because" I put it off that I now have the issue :matte-motes-tongue: Following Pages? All I know is, the folders that were created in the outbox when I dragged the boxes over have been sent to the Marketplace and they "vanished" from the outbox after they had been sent. Is that normal? I have checked the error log thingie and it claims that there were/are no errors from sending the folders. To me, It looks like my store (backend) thinks that my magic boxes are still out and linked. Here the interesting thing. My magic boxes were working and people were still buying UNTIL I started the migration process... Then all of my products started to gradually go into that default "Unavailable" state shown on the screen shot so until yesterday afternoon...My store was working despite it being passed the cut off date.
  13. lol...I will answer why I didn't do it sooner myself in the next post
  14. Hi Well, I dragged the boxes into the area at the bottom of the Outbox window so the folders were created automatically and named automatically. I am assuming that means they are named exactly the same (?) I did click the "Sync Marketplace" link after I took up the Magic boxes and after I went to the old Xstreet page where you remove the old "links" that are linked to your magic boxes. Many thanks for replying
  15. I followed the instructions to the letter and whilst the 400+ folders were sent from my outbox (they disappeared after being sent) and no failure log is reported, I only have 2 items listed and they were ones I did separately before I did the full migration. (Yesterday) The Listings page shows 517 items all shaded red and all saying they are linked to the Magic Box and therefore unavailable. ( I don't even have 517 items anymore..Its like the information is stuck and not updated or refreshed) I can confirm that I did take the boxes from my land into my inventory. I also removed the Magic Box link from what was Xstreet. I have refreshed my marketplace page several times and its been 18 hours since it all went **bleep** up so I have sent a ticket to LL but I am wondering if anyone might know why or if there is anything I can do. I can't appear to manually set them up as nothing is showing as available "to" set up and its quite urgent as half of my sales from SL come from the Marketplace. I would be ever so grateful if anyone has any insight or advise as I have little faith in the ticket system. Many thanks.
  16. I haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if I am going over other peoples comments. Quote from OP "The ads are nobody's business but LL's. They are not your business and they are nothing to do with you, so get over it" That's a contradiction if ever I read one! lol They're everything to do with "us" they're aimed at "us" in the hopes that "we" will be swayed by them. That said, they are not intrusive or "pop ups" so I just ignore them. However, I suspect people who complain; "They have a premium account, they should not have to be exposed to them" believe this based on their experiences of places like IMVU.com and indeed many other types of websites that use the adverts (Or rather the removal of them off the persons profile, marketplace view etc) as an incentive to upgrade to a paid/premium/VIP account. Which if you think about it, to use the loss of adverts as an incentive to pay for a premium account is testiment that "they" know that people don't like the adverts or why else offer to remove them for a fee? Maybe Linden Labs will also follow suit on this in time. I don't care either way. I did wonder when I first saw them "wow times must be hard" but then again, as I say, this is a business model IMVU.com have always used and IMVU.com (like it or loath it) has over 100,000 people logged in at most times and NO FREEBIES on their marketplace. But that's another forum debat...
  17. ooo interesting. I am waiting for the page to load but I am wondering if the accounts are active. In my *ahem* nine years in SL (lol) I have never bumped into another Filth.Actually, that's a lie, I do recall seeing them when I was new but they were the offensive versions... If I did meet another Filth, I would be sending friend requests... it would be almost like we would be related.. lol I do regret it at times.People tell me in hindsight they used to wonder if I started off as a striper or an escort and then discovered textures as an industry... eekk... lol
  18. The name options only had a shelf life for so long.. I think once X amount of people chose it, it was removed. There were a few "Filths" back in the day but as you can imagine, many names were used to be racial or offensive so those particular accounts were deleted. As far as I know, I am the only Filth in SL ---- You can take that any way you like it's certainly been used against me over the years lol but it's a name people don't forget and for that, it's seved me well
  19. My account will be nine years old on the 23rd April. Wow. Some marraiges don't last that long! lol Anyway, I wanted to post some pictures of what SL looked like when I was new in 2004. I will prolly forget on the actual rez day so I thought I would do it now, whilst its fresh in my mind... I am getting old you know?.... :matte-motes-big-grin-squint:
  20. I did this about 7 days ago. First time in 8 years I have "gone public" over business issues. Whilst I was careful did not name the customers involved, I did rant a little about how everyone of their 5 attempts of leaving inappropriate reviews had been removed by LL and they still kept on leaving more... I was angry and frustrated... I came back to the forums and found the whole thread had been removed AND a PM explaining it was against the TOS.They didn't say "what" was against the TOS - just coped and pasted my post in its entirety. I do wish they would be more specific when they say "in breach of the TOS" because how is one to learn their errors without it being highlighted. (?) From what I can gather, it may have been the fact I used the phrase "p1ss*d off" Anyway, its the first AND last time I will go public with such drama.. Generally "naming and shaming" reflects far worse on the namer than the shamed... and whilst the public vent may feel therapeutic for your personal anger and frustration.. It's not very professional.... Best to keep a "quiet dignity" even when every part of you is screaming " NOT FAIR!!!" lol Also, as it happens, the 1 star review they finally managed to leave (because did not breach the Community Standards) was challenged by a customer who purchased the same item a week later and left a 5 star review contradicting everything the 1 star reviewer left. I thanked the 5 star reviewer for taking the chance because of the negative review AND leaving a positive one because so few customers bother. It ticks me off a little when I get a "HELP my product was not delivered" and I log in and sort it out in a timely manner, thank them for their custom and they still don't leave a review but that's the nature of the review system. 90% of the time its there to ensure merchants behave properly and sell good quality items because its like having an axe hanging over your head if you upset a customer who never bothers to leave a positive but enjoys a good old rant when they feel cheated regardless of whether they have been or not. Its not for a merchants benefit to have a review system it appears more for the customers peace of mind knowing they have some kind of "safety net" if things don't turn out as they feel they should.
  21. I think a LOT depends on what you're selling a to whether a customer prefers in world shopping to the SL Marketplace. For textures, it's a no brainer. In world shopping is LAGGY and it takes ages for each texture to rez when ppl click the cycle on the vendor. Since LL purchased what was X Street I started adding ny content to the Marketplace Platform because I knew LL would be driving new and old customers that way as they had a vested interest in doing so. I have had an in world store since 2005. At its peak traffic was 18K daily. Today it averages at around 1500 daily. This I believe is down to a few things, the economy and lack of land owners being paramount but based on customer feedback, the MP is favored by 80% of spending customers. It's quick and easy and that's important. That said, 1500 traffic implies there are still people who like the experience of inworld shopping. Sales are 70% marketplace and 30% in world for me personally. Then we have people who buy direct from the website but that's for external use so it doesn't really count in this "debate" I think if you are selling clothing, hair, animations etc people want to see what these items look like in "real time" and I would imagine the same for building items such as houses and furniture. A marketing photo can be very deceiving especially where clothes are concerned so by adding a "demo" to the MP item would be the ideal solution if you did not want to own an in world store. I do agree that having some kind of in world presence is of some reassurance to some customers too.
  22. This "marrying" of plant textures made by one creator to plant sculpt maps created by another creator causes much frustration to users and creators alike. The only way you can be 100% sure a texture will work on a sculpt is if both were created by the same person and sold together. It's a bit of pot luck and a lot of texture tweaking otherwise
  23. I know its an old thread but THANK YOU Winter because now I can just copy & paste this thread URL to the increasing numbers of customers that assume it's a texture glitch I have spent days & upload fees trying to delete lines that are invisible to the naked eye in Photoshop and in SL on a standard prim! Thanks for sharing!
