  1. The longer you all cover for them all day long, and do not have the guts to tell them straight up, sternly....what all the problems are.... the less likely we will ever enjoy a fully functioning system. and particularly one that might have some additional perks. and the less likely they will ever feel the need to stop in here, and give straight up answers. It's classic.
  2. Magnet Homewood wrote: I am going to leave the definition of what happened to me to the people interested in being lawyers, and just explain it. This happened to me the day before DD rolled out, the 20th March. I got 3 notifications by email that my magic box had delivered items worth in total $4500L, but on my merchant's page, those items were marked as being "Delivery Failed". I contacted the three buyers and confirmed that they had paid, and that they had recieved the item, so I sent a ticket about it to LL. I was told that they could not credit me for those sales because the status was 'Failed' and that I should switch to Direct Delivery as soon as possible. This may not be the kind of situation Josh means when he says robbed, but I am still sore because that money would have gone along way towards tier this month. hi Magnet. haven't seen you in a long time. Sorry, they are not going to credit you. I was told more or less, that a month's worth of sales where the funds did not make it into my account would not be credited, because they had a glitch. They have a glitch on their end, so they do not have to pay me. Interesting. They "implied" I would get paid if I went to a certain place and sat and waited. I did. Then they said again (more or less) that I would not get paid. It was 10 freakin' bucks that first time. 10 freakin' bucks. (there was more lost, that's for sure) Then....right in front of me and others....they reimbursed people here in this forum that volunteer for them all day long. Right in front of people who have been sitting, trying to collect payments. They did not fund. Then they implied they would. So they kept the funds, then lied on top of it. And I'm not talkin' about 10 freakin' bucks total.
  3. Phil Deakins wrote: All I can say is that everyone who is finding problems with the marketplace, is doing so because they sold out to LL. LL started the marketplace to gain money at the expense of traders - literally - and most traders went along with it (I'm sorry to say, they went along with it like sheep). The people at LL must have been laughing their socks off about it. They make traders put up with a system that has never worked properly, and they don't inform them of anything because they don't have to. The traders feel like they'll lose out now if they pull out of the marketplace so they put up with it, and LL laughs even harder. They don't give a damn about you and you put up with it - except Mickey, who (I read) pulled out. I use other online stores that work flawlessly with plenty of perks. (not SL related) am fortunate that I can ramp those up anytime that LL borks the system. I guess the rest here, can't do that. When you have no other options you cannot demand service. I'll probably have to go back to marketplace because all of my marketing led into there, and in a fix on that now. Did not consider just what a blow that would be when I pulled. I truly know they don't give a damn about anyone. And I don't like watching people scurry like frantic rats. That makes me ill. And I do not like watching everyone do their work for them all day long. When you do their work for them all day long, and make excuses for them all day long, and spend your whole day finding workarounds, when you could be applying your skills to a paying job.... You are training LL, just as they are training you. They have free labor, and they are taking full advantage of it. They do not even have to come in here and answer questions from customers, and have even been so bold and arrogant as to tell us that they will not, right to our faces, in writing no less! And they don't need to, because everyone is scurrying around doing it for them. eta: I think the term is Enabler. they will never give us proper tools and proper service, if people continue to cover them all day long, and unless it is made known publicly how screwed up the system is, to the point that it is embarassing. They do not have to. You will all be back here tomorrow, no matter how bad it gets, to scurry again. Those of you, who have continually apologized for this most recent fiasco...... I have lost respect for you as a business person.... and I hold YOU just as responsible as LL for any monetary losses.
  4. Darrius Gothly wrote: Well, I have one theory as to why they want to move L$10 and less items off as fast as possible. Let's assume that as part of the buy-out of XStreet SL and Apotheus' exit from LL, they agreed to pay a "Per Delivery" service charge to Apotheus et al. At the time it could probably be proven on paper that the average sale price was much higher and thus the per delivery royalty looked pretty reasonable. But over time, as the mean purchase price has dropped precipitously, the Lab is now going in the hole on Magic Box deliveries. Remember, any time something is delivered by Magic Box, it by necessity goes through the old XStreet SL web site. It makes sense that they'd be willing to pay a small royalty per delivery especially if care and maintenance of that site was still being handled by the old XStreet crew (meaning Apotheus). Granted, it's just a theory ... but dang this tinfoil hat looks so GOOD on me! LOL Interesting, well if that is the case, I hope they use all their extra funds they would be saving to hire a tech crew.
  5. Thank you, Gavin. I guess that applies to the Direct Delivery glitch only. The other web sites I plug listings into will not let you proceed if you are using a character that is not allowed or will cause glitch. I guess that costs extra at the Shopping Site Mart.
  6. duuuuuude............ pace yourself. hold the temper. you'll get even hotter if you have to watch from sidelines for a month
  7. Super String wrote: Mickey, all of them--payments and delivery (on transition history) It's good here to listen to you clarifying your experience, I surely have no doubt about your issue, however, what I doubt is that these 2 cases can't just be merged altogether. Because it will blur both facts. they are not getting delivered either? when I was managing that, and keep in mind that reflecting back is making me a bit queasy..... because there was different lingo on pages of transactions, I checked with each customer every day, and if you want to hang on to your customers, you might want to do that, if you are not already. The extra time paid off, because each person was very grateful for the check. And they will come back. (even in spite of stuff) I do realize that not everyone can take that extra few hours a day. I cannot now. I think that some of those were delivered and some were not, but it was just a mess, so can't verify for sure, this late in the game. I'm sorry they merged your Jira. you're going to have to get creative on how to survive like that.
  8. Arwen, I think it was mistake to lump those together. Since my plea is at top of page, I went and edited a tad to make sure Direct Delivery was made known, if you all want me to add more at the top of the page, just tell me what to add. but since technically challenged, and had so much trouble back in January, have no idea if the people who had trouble back then are going to experience it with DD or if it just random glitches. I'm going to relist eventually, but not if we're going to have to deal with that again.
  9. what have you been waiting 6 days for? payment? or delivery? or both?
  10. Super String wrote: Commerce Team Linden, Really? but why when switching back to magic box, the problem could just be gone. Shouldn't I be convinced by facts? Besides, when "that" Jira Ticket being created, I still used magic box, and "that" problem never hapened to me when I used magic box. "This" disaster only occurs when I use DD. Furthermore, my case is not just "oders stuck", this is money disappearing or stolen. Because I happened to be not only the merchant but also the customer, and I was charged but the money was purely gone. Issue 4441 is different because of reasons below: (1) that merchant wasn't sure if his/her customer received the item (but in my case, this is the point) (2) that merchant didn't know if the customer was charged or not (but in my case, this is the point) (3) that merchat didn't use DD (but in my case, this is the point) (4) that merchant waited only 4 hours, but I've been waiting fot 6 days (still waiting) (5) that merchant only had 2 orders, that could just be a temporary accident (not my case) (6) that merchant delivered items manually and wanted to be paid directly by LL (did I???????) Did you really read both ISSUEs?? this was a while back, and at that time, I was hand delivering 3 or 4 times a day. There was various lingo on each transaction, but pretty sure that the lingo on this one was "Being Delivered" since the support ticket sent me to that particular Jira. Evidently your customers are receiving the goods? This particular customer said he did not, and I had him in IM for a while. He said his payment was taken out of funds. On small orders, I was not even waiting 4 hours, I just sent the stuff, and crossed fingers for payment, but this was a large order, and because it included items that I paid for in a Featured Enhancement - I sorta wanted to get paid, if you get my drift. That one order would pay for another month's featured listing. Correct, it was magic box, so refer to Toy's comments, just above. I waited 4 hours to deliver to the guy, because at that time, they were issuing refunds pretty fast, maybe within an hour, plus I had to go make dinner After 4 hours, I checked in with him, and still no refund, so I hand delivered. anything past that, and you are going to have a pissed off customer. The waiting for 4 hours bit, is only how long I waited until he got a refund, which he did not. It was not only 2 orders, this went on for the whole month. People said it was my fault, so that's why I popped in here, to tell you, it might not be your fault. I don't if it is related or not - technically challenged in a big way. You can see how far I got pasting one order.....no, was not going to spend several days, pasting orders up there, until there was a response. Heck yeah, I wanted to get paid. If your customers are not receiving the goods, you might want to start delivering manually, in order not to lose some good customers. Many do not understand what is going on. It reflects upon your own store biz.
  11. ok, first of all, I know you're hot, but take a breather for a bit, because if you get too hot, you lose your voice here, and you need it, you have good visuals lemme go back to your list. Super String wrote: Yes Mickey, I doubt if they really read both issues, or just merged and igmored them altogether.
  12. welcome to the basement. I did not start that Jira - I was sent there when I asked marketplace support to reimburse me for doing their job. when you say..."that merchant"....do you mean me? because I need to clarify some of what you said, if so.
  13. Marcus Hancroft wrote: CommerceTeam Linden wrote: Greetings! We are aware that some users are still experiencing slow loading pages on the Marketplace after the web site was optimized over the weekend. We are continuing to investigate the issues and make changes to the Marketplace to try to optimize the web site as best as possible. "Some users"? It was optimized over the weekend?? amazing.
  14. whoaaaa dude! I gotta pace speed on that a bit. Just received a signal to slow down. (if I'm not back, doesn't mean I forgot about you
  15. Super String wrote: I'm so dissapointed the first thing Lindens did to respond my issue was to close/merge JIRA and ignore the problem. Well...anyone here interested in organizing a SL Merchant Union?? Sometimes we do need a better platform to concentrate our voices to get problems resolved or get things done. This existing forum can deal with daily discussions, and another platform like a fb page can deal with votes and bring merchants together for handling more important issues. Such a labour union will be a good tool to urge LL bringing better environment and policy for SL merchants and SL itself. Just still a immature idea...how do you guys think about this? Super, I SWORE I would not use my twitter timeline for this stuff, and that swear is posted around here somewhere, but I changed my mind. My customers encouraged me to scrap this out. They are awesome. You've got yourself a teeny weeny little bitty "union" in my twitter feed, I'll use it, and go make that adjustment I suggested. I don't particularly care for what they did with your Jira, but you gotta scrap it out - customers said so
  16. Super - if you spell out "Direct Delivery Second Life" in your title, it will be on first page google, relatively shortly.
  17. cool, not sure how that was done! Super - in first post, add the merge info - with link - that's where the eyes are. Good Luck.
  18. ok, looks like all the new comments were just added. good.
  19. Arwen Serpente wrote: lol, I didn't merge them. I just got the notification since I was watching both JIRAs. I think they are different issues. Yes, the comments from JIRA 4559 do get lost when they are merged, so I hope the Merchants who posted in 4559 will add their comments to 4441. hi Arwen, sorry, wasn't clear....realize you did not merge them, got the email, and saw who merged them Ya'll better get in there and post your problem again. I won't comment again, I gave up, but ya'll can start fresh. I had tweeted the links to this dilemma, and will do so again, once you all get settled in there with the specific DD related issue - a tweet or two does get several hundred eyes on it.
  20. Arwen Serpente wrote: Mickey, you were right. The two JIRAs were just merged under 4441. Arwen, when I go to 4441, you cannot see all the comments from the new Jira. Unless I'm missing a button link or something. It's more important to have the DD problem showing fresh and clearly, than to lump all that into something that is over and done with and long forgotten (more or less) on a system that is being replaced. Guess it is the same mechanics. Sorry about that. Doesn't seem wise.
  21. "Of course, if their goal is really to drive away all Merchants and turn SL into a wholly LL-created virtual world, then it would make sense" There have been a few signs. just icky vibes, that's all. Do you understand why they would nix the under 10L listings earlier than the rest? what was that about? Why such a short time frame on converting to DD? could have sworn I heard them imply here and there, that it would not be rushed. maybe was dreaming or something. Direct Delivery was magic cure-all. You supply a magic cure-all.....what would the next step be?
  22. Magic boxes have reputation of being slightly inferior and unreliable. Direct Delivery is fancy and new and an upgrade. (ok, stop snickering) You can charge for upgrades.
  23. Anaiya Arnold wrote: Mickey Vandeverre wrote: maybe, maybe not. but they have already said more or less that they are not refunding on the "being delivered" phase - just a heads up on that. here it is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4441 anyway, that's how they handled customer support on that - sent us to a cell in the basement and washed their hands of it. In this case customers apparently are being charged though so I'm wondering how exactly one distinguishes this from criminal theft. Is Commerce team hoping to do a lag rather than just create the stuff? Pretty sure the TOS has some wording that none of this is really "real"......or something like that
  24. Darrius Gothly wrote: Just to reinforce the point, the last time they had a rash of "Stuck at being delivered", they spent a lot of time pushing those transactions through to completion including sending the payment less commission to the Merchants. They didn't welsh on their responsibility to pay the Merchant. I know for a fact because I had a number of such transactions. I notified them via support ticket of the transaction numbers and before long Dakota replied to me that they'd force completed them and I got paid for them. Just to reinforce - read the Jira I posted. They did not do that in all situations. There are customers sitting in there too. Hope they are not yours.
