Script Time? Physics? Aren't they making/have made the scripting stuff and physics stuff all flexible based on sim demands? So, some sims get more 'attention' than others, based on usage happening at the time avatars are there?

Can you sign or otherwise indicate consent you read and understood what he means and that you read and agreed to it? No. They can't confirm you read the notice and they DID sign up and agree to TOS.
Now, I wll paly a lawyer. /me poenald waddles back and forth making odd gestures and staring people during pauses...
Not only did they sign up for SL, agree to the TOS, and they also know and understand this part of the agreement very well...so they purger themselves if they claim 'it works' in a court. So, they can't get thier account back if they go to court to get it back...I guess.
I am not a lawyer, this is not a court and I am not YOUR lawyer! The YOUR part is important, because anyone giving you advice is not your lawyer, with your case, with your situation and saying "this one guy on the net said so" is totally not going to convince any court....which is what these guys are maybe hearing.
There is also another possability. They are cops, informants or otherwise claiming immunity and do this as extra protection to keep acounts active that might be in deep enough and can benifit from keeping cover? Not sure, but I know anyone can be an informant, no how dirty or illegal your lifestyle and basically this is from reading about this (about the budget and a few stories) and I know someone who knows a guy who was involved as a helper. He didn't go down in exchange for helping them take others out. SImple stuff, warriors code...right?
For anyone who thinks I am helping criminals, I am not! I do not know from experience these people are cops or informants! I am just going off something I noticed and some things I read about in the news! They are most likely fooled people that where fooled by someone who claims to be a lawyer, but will claim they are not THIER lawyer. They now have proven they read that part of TOS and had full intent to break it, because they will not say the same in IM chat and get consent and agreement figured out between them!!!
So, it appears to many they are trying to con a court into believing in the loophole. It sort of proves thier intent to do harm via IM's, which is what the TOS was there to stop?
Plus, the person just has to say "I didn't read it" in a court and how can they prove they didn't? I mean, UNLESS...they posted here and said they have read it! In that case all you can say is you didn't read that specific persons statements because Poenald said to not bother, so you never even tried to read it!
But, Poenald is NOT your lawyer, and is not saying anything other than an an opinion of how it looks to a court of his imagination....one poenald might even not like, in some situations! I am not saying they are wrong or right, I will not judge on it unless I know the reason and even then it all depends on the situation.
I am curious as to why some put this in thier profiles, but don't just say it after first contact. They know people just hit profile and then hit IM. WHy would they read it? It is a PROFILE, it tells people about you. They don't want to know about you, they want to IM you for something!!! How is a profile a legal agreement area, where do they click agree to confirm before they IM you? They can't, so you are left lossing the first line they send you IF you state you want them to indicate they agree to your posting it. If they say, "NO, and another thing..." You can only hang up. NO posting allowed really, IMHO. BUT, maybe there is a good reason to have it, like people sending one line threats via alt over and over and you wish to send these to the cops or a PI to investigate them? Maybe you have a SL avatar PI check out all your avatar contacts and they want a look at thier chat style, their vocab level and so on. THen they go join groups, infiltrate their places and retrieve info. Of course, they also have this line in thier profiles, so they can squeel back any info to their cleint! They might even do competitor intel work, for BI..Business Intellegence. They irk you, you threaten them and then they can basically NOT get into trouble for slander if they wish to sort of...well, personally post the info. I mean, they are (of course, inocently) only checking out your customer service style...you know, for BI! I made this one up myself to, ah...the anylitcal genius that I am...shall I continue till we get to time travellers trying to stop someone from calling someone a doush bag in IM so that the person will not relay the information across the internet and bog down an NSA computer by one millionth of a second enough to let some secret chinese info slip through the wires laying on the bottom of the ocean....leading to calamity as China gets a communication through it was time to tracki a sat, pick up some more data and it all ends up leading to two nations collaborating a mission that leads to an angered response from north korea that destroys the cure for cancer that lies in the future of a south korean women who sits in a park reading a gene rodenberry novel!!HUH<, HUHE!!! well, maybe not....oh, I just did...I can't stop the genius!!! WOW!
Ok, now poeple can tell I am being sarcastic over my ability to figure out what is happening here...I bet they are totally HUGE gossips and can't stop themselves!

I have heard some like bvh hacker because it lets you basically...well, 'hack' the bvh specifics and fix things for SL and other applications. This might somehow work out to help you convert stuff over. But I don't know though.

You just have something in the Listen event change the time, it will stop. So, just use llSetTimerEVent(0.0) after you listen event set of checks, word verification or whatever.

In 2.49 you use full bake, use nodes on teh material and click the diff button in teh nodes window (make anew one to see it) and that will give you specular highlights (you get diffuse only with both turned on...sort of), and you then combine these in gimp with layer settings (um, add might work well...but you can choose/adjust this as you please) . But you might have to be changing lights settings, clicking on some things on the materials and may want to soften shadows and so on in the lights settings.
2.5 is not known to me for this stuff, but I thought it might have similar things since some things did not change to much, just the locations of things.

Wow, you know some kind of crazed hacker/cracker av might one day totally lay wast to everyones heights and make all avatar either HUGE or tiny based on these arguments and LL's odd scale size thingy that does not have "prim hegiht" and so on. We will all be the same height and be wearing hitlar mustaches or something lol. Is it really such a HUGE issue? Yeah, it seems like it is!

Ceka, that was gross to do...wow, weird ahppenings on that side of the forum! ?me sits by the door again, watching bots walk in machanically and post about thousands of linden dollars and such.
That is so odd, although I have done similar forum post jokes myself that ended up a little odd...but that is grosser and tops mine for grossness! It also reminds of how If I smell lots of perfum, sometimes, I figure they might have been seeing a prostitute or been to a strip bar and are soacking themselves in thier own after being at the 'gym' and makes me wonder about humans and why they are the way they are. /me thinks of bears with noses to the wind and the massive sensors and then thinks of military robots with sensor arrays named after bears and becomes slightly sader...."mars rovers, sniffing for life, eh!? Yeah right."

If they 'fix' sim crossing and it is almost seamless to go along a route...well, you can imagine them wondering the roads trying to 'act natural' so they don't get busted lol. They might be dressed up in running gear, faking chat with each other. They would have one of those random spam garbage sentence making programs to keep them all going on and on, lagging the chat thingy.
I see the forum money exchangers are spamming again. /me thinks of biblical beatings at temples and laughs at bots as the new hated and insulting ones. "he who is without automation cast the first ban!" is not a line I expect to hear about them from any kind of 'messiah script' that might somehow save us forever and help us overcome spam bots.

Now you know how all the people with real scale height feel when everyone tells them they are like teens or kids!
Of course, I say make a slightly higher poly face and keep similar UV mapping...but I only say this to myself usually because I don't want to code up all the proof of concept and then file jira's and garner support for it all. I remember someone redoing the avatar mesh once and posting his work as he went along in the old forums here lol. Obviously this went now where.
But yeah, the slider didn't used to have a height indicator and people figured the top was about tall in RL measure, like 6ft 3 inches of something. But of course, the elven ears morph and a few other sliders should really show that this was for more than just humans!

If she had a photographer make these and he still owns copyrights (he gave her rights to use them, yeah, some even keep your wedding photo negatives and sell usage of them to magazines, news papers ect. ....well, I heard this a while back) and this is one of those cases where people really get confsued.
I rememer the statue that someone/company wanted to make that was composed based off a photo found in newspapers. The photographers company went after them, they copied the photo to close. Why is this an issue? He created the image by choosing the time and so on, and they could have made thier statue from seconds before or after the moment. They choose the photo because of it's high visability...so they ended up in court! They where trying to make money and win a proposal or whatever using this guys image, the moment and elements he angled himself and a time he choose to capture it. Strange huh? Not sure who won though. Wow, now I want to look this one up. I have to run again though.
But yeah, adding your work has nothing to do with it really, though you are not competing in some ways. But, if you ask the person...well, they might not care. But the image, the pixel arrangement...that might not even be hers, if she used a commercial photographer that held the rights to it! Heck, she might have even signed a model release and he can sell them to you and might have a more from other ventures...so, contact and communication can lead to more than you will get from grabbing and never saying anything to them? Not sure, I don' tbother so much with this and can model the bits i need. It is a skill I figure is worth learning, and I could always do photography in real life, it is not so hard to learn lighting and you can DIY the lighting these days with soft LED's and so on. A few cameras on the market also come in handy for motion images for reference for animations, all for under like 200USD for the kit. Just wish I could make 200 to spare!

I thought I would mention that people can also zoom out the camera, which I am not sure if you settings do.
Ctrl+8 will zoom out, if you really don't want to go into setings and move the zoom slider a bit. This gives you a wider angle of view. We have a rathar large one in real life, though I will add that things stretch a slight bit at the edges, because this mimics a camera. The one they chose is usually the recomended for showing things in scale in 2D phtograph. But, you do get a more vast looking sim and can still interact well in regular camera mode or mouselook.
So, this might help us with scale and also can help especially in mouselook mode! Which also can have the avatar turned on in, since some do like to see thier avatar moving and doing it's motions.
Of course, a VR helmet would be nice!

You might have got a currupted file, your chips might have the little bits of materials (wich is etched all microscopic like) moved a little apart and now when it heats up a little the system just fails. But software freezes? This might be currupted files.
Reinstall the viewer, delete all the files associated with it as well...wow, there is a forum post and wiki entry about this. I am sorry I can't find the article, but it has to do with deleting folders usually kept when reinstalling. I am sorry I can be of no more help, I have to run.

I don't think there is a way, until we get image match searching and companies that will hunt these images down in supplied databases. Lawyers might one day do this, just hunt and find the images then tell the companies about it!
I think it is better to look at anything that produces an image you can legally use and try those! The texture programs listed on teh wiki (last I saw) where pretty inclusive. But I am not sure if they also include 3D renderers that render from 3D models. You can build 3D objects and make materials and then render and image and use that image! I know some 3D tools have materials made from procedural math, which basically means they create swirls, noise, wriggly bits or whatever. You use this with hand draw or 2D tool work..heck, any scans you can legally make might work to. With these layers you work on the object and then when it is done, you can photo the bits of it in orthoganal camera view (or not, depends) and paint, cut and past, or stretch them to work on prims!
But, how will you know? You can't really know unless you made it!
I am not sure, but there might be a post in here somewhere that has links in it. Uh, off the top of my head:
Public domain sites (always check the persons signed bit on there, some of them actually say otherwise than public domain and the word PB or public domain is NOT valid, they should change thier website name!) can help ou, there are a few with some neat works.
Then there are free 3D texture and image source websites just for 3D artists. CGTextures.com is one of hte better ones, then there is like...is mayang.com/textures...uh, this is off the top of my head. I think there are 3-4 more that guys run that seem to have been around a while and they seem to know what they are doing. The one issue is, some of htem in my links are submit websites...I don't use those, but never found them again and culled them from the list. Sharecg might have some for commercial use or personal with attirbution and so on. They have an advanced search function BUT...they are a user submit website so keep the links and dont be surprised if anything is taken down. They are pretty serious about usage and have a advanced search with all the check boxes so you can find stuff that fits your usage....well, at least you can TRY to find stuff lol.
But you are dealing with trust here, so it is very veryhard to deal with for some. If you make it (in genetica, 3D programs with renders or baked texturing, digital painting, vector art programs, paint sim programs, scans from hand created art or whatever can make images with!) then you have made it and reading the progs user license is all you need to be worried about. Most allow usage, but obviously some are restricted to personal or have a watermark you must leave.

Sometimes people lose freinds, or maybe never even had any really! Sometimes things are much more depressing, so if you can still socialize and can find more then maybe it is best to keep on thinking that the world is full of people who might need a hand or some kind of freind at some point. So, that means as one goes you now have time to find a new freind, and they also get to have a new one so you all end up enriching your lives by encountering more people and learning more about humanity as a whole. If you can make the world a better place from this, then just take the sorrow as an indicator that there is another that might feel simlar, another that might be alone and that you might have been able to help them, so get to it!
Otherwise, if you can have no other friend...I apoligise for not destroying the world so you can feel the pain still...ok, just a joke. ;P

Stong word and many people might like things that are related to other non SL things...I mean, do these people just post a sort of catch all "It allows me to express myself" or do they simply try and make some specifics "An outlet for my <instert art medium>" I mean...what if they sort of just kind of like SL a bit? This thread is not for them?

Actually, I have a larger answer. The one present is a protest to arbitrary issues being forced into specifics for the sake of some odd game that has no meaning. But people will adhere to the rules, they always like to otherwise they simply ignore it or are to busy doing non reading activities. I guess, a short way of putting it is "Rules are for people who like to read, rules are not tolerent of people who don't read them" and "the ones who make the rules are the ones who should read them" These are not real qoutes, they are added for effect. Such as many adornments, simply for effect. ~=-_wWooOOooHOoo!_-=~ yeah!

Ah, the IP bit...well, the easiest issue is to maybe use a ID system and maybe even a third party ID company....but, wow...this might be hard to really expect people to use lol. I remember the issues with SL's third party age verification...wow, I would not want to submit ID for something inworld that is sort of a fun and no so RL stress related, which is what I assume you are making...a fun device of some sort.
Plus, some can make bots (not SL ones, but web using ones) and then just auto generate the registration/sign up bit as well. But, you know some will not bother as it takes to much time and not enough reward...so, this might work but will still put a damper on things and possibly reduce usage figures.

You mention alts and IP's. Well, if you use a website you might be able to do it, but I am not sure of how you would implement it.
There are IP checking devices, I know of one from PM sands. But you really can get a new IP on some ISP's and also use TOR and similar methods. Anyone knowing and wanting to rip it off (if this is what you need to stop) then...well, you might have a hard time doing this and keep it user freindly and private.
But, I don't know how much it would cost...you will get more help with that by posting a wanted ad I bet!

Since I wondered why you posted so many questions, and then you POST HERE IN GENERAL DISCUSSION then aI assume you are related to people who stalk me and try to listen into my home!! Look into MONO and C# to make a more convenient solution. If you wish for a divice, then simply make a bot.
Bots can be hosted on a few different hosts, but obviously they need an operating system. One succesful animation company has one style that runs on Amazon's services. I assume they run it on Ubuntu, but never delved into it and simply looked to Amazons services because I was slightly familiar with them.
For anyones paranoia, I don't run bots! I never use them, but looked to them to manage my stores business as I find it mentally hard to handle, considering the situations I have to deal with.

I only answered because I thought you where trolling with your first one and decided that instead of a set of questions I would just joke in a sad trollish manner, which you would not really do anything other than maybe cry troll...but You tube? It is a issue with the code underlining and you would need to find a mailing list to do with the viewer code OR simply read it. I doubt you would hack it and need a general discussin forum if you knew what you where doing! How do you expect answers about C, or even LSL in general discussion! You claim I troll, but you seem to be yorself..but I am not saying you are! SO, don't go on attack with mods over a personal attack. I figure you expect jokes...otherwise why general discussion over a C++/C#, MONO or at lease LSL qeustion?
Not saying I don't joke around, but Trolling is a broad definition...so, sometimes I might be! I have many reasons to believe that some posts here are part of illegal action against me, all I get is more odd quasi threats when I speak out. Considering I am as clean as awhistle, regardless of any jokes abotu smoking stuff or whatever...well, seriously....I have no interactions and have done nothing to anyone regardless of thier legal standing or legal or illegal interactions...well, it is a bit odd to continuiously get these odd hints at people following me or otherwise survailing me. Hints are not really anything other than mobbing, considering the odd interactions, threats and physical actions that where taken against me Illegally in the past several years. This might be serious, but I try to see people as innocent and am not wishing harm to any one innocent....but if you are guilty...why would you care if I wish you dead? Knowing what you did to me would make it obvious, which might be a reason you continue to mob and threaten...out of fear I go to the police? Fear I might carry out actions to make a wish be more of a truthful destiny of some sort?
Why youtube? I find this a highly confusing post, without context....wait. I actually DO have context. Sad, no law in america will work if there are mobs mobbing people. Not one freind or family member did anything to help, they just rub it in and try to hide it...et tu?

But yeah, look into linear motor vectors power..you want the first number in the vector <x,0,0>, the x bit, that is your power forward. Use something to change that, which can be anything that can set a variable! You then put that variable in where the x, that is at! Simple enough really.
I would also reccomend you cheeck out the Wiki's LSL portal. This was not around, the forums where a closed place for premium members or something...I had to just learn from wahtever I found and bought after driving laps for 2L at enel park way back. If you where fast, 2L in 1 minute. Crashed every several laps because it was 4 sims to cross through....yeah, it was tough. Plus, you had 20+ avatars on one sim and you drove through a tunnel to get there! Crazy stuff. Lots of time to purchase stuff that is all free on the wiki and easy to find. I only payed for it out of honest, they where giving away a mod version at a freebie place, so I payed for it becasue I learned from it...wow, old days.
Plus you can learn more about the physics vehicle stuff at the Vehicle Laboratory in world. It is shrunken from a full sim, I imagine little interest in it because vehicles have very little priority and don't work as well as in other games made for cars.
When you have tracks scanned and modelled and tire simulation models blah blah <insert goobly **bleep** about simulations here 10 times> you see hardly anyone interested in driving in SL.
If you want to see what is possible, The cars from Fizix is the height of car simulation in SL. Though, one dude will say Cubby is the best, and no other scripter is any good...oh, then someone will say Francis Chung or Les White..so, you can check out there stuff to! But, they go with what works and this guy pushes it to the max in his beta stuff I tried way back! RPM modelling, skidding based on RPM through turns while downshifting makes a really fun rally car.
I remember tying out his monster truck and brabos(damagable in varied amounts as you hit stuff) and remember way back when he had his first car, a little hatchback....I think....wow, anyway...to long ago.
Well, I must leave....sort of like how I left hanging out at when people are there and seeing all this cool stuff! Just can't stand the mobbing stuff and have nothing to give anyone...seriously. So, you get help...I don't, but at least there is one win....if you really wanted the help and was not posting for no reason but because someone told you to or it was part of you job? Not sure.

Open source car scripts are in world, in a group and they don't publish them all over, for whatever reason.I would not join up and wish to see them though. I remember one guy holding his code hostage lol. He was waiting for 40, 000L or something, in sales. I remember hanging out and trying to help him a bit with that build...not that he really needed my help. He said he sold hardly any, he might have even said only one. Maybe I was the only customer! lol. Not laughing at the guy, just the whole experience of disinterest in cars in SL. Uh, yeah...I think him and 2 others where in this group and hanging out and I sort of decided not to join, not for any reason other than I was happy enough working on my own and sort of guessed I would end up alone anway, at the end of the whole experience. Ah, which reminds me...the spiral toward lonliness and avoidance of the death at the bottom continues! bye.

poptarts? Nah, there is no frosting on those...wait, do they make them without frosting? hhhm. I never have figured out what those things are. I assume they are NOT cookies and that is about it...TM and all that. I can't imagine the cookie monsters agent liking his likeness being use all over. The cookie monster is a seriously trademarked monster, he can't have his identity used to endorse any old thing out there or have his likeness used! I mean, what if people beleive it is the real cookie monster and they tell everyone something that hurts his acting career? Anyway, totally off topic...uh. Yeah, this whole post was a mess. I started with a line that sort of explained what I think would play out, but then went all redundent and such.
