  1. We should restrict all messages to mesh tablets with the message in relief, made by the sender in Blender. That should take care of the fluff.
  2. There's always people you would like to avoid, and being a relative noobie on the forums (despite my 6+ years in SL) I thought the "ignore" button would help. But does it actually do anything?
  3. Call me when MTV "Music Television" starts broadcasting music videos. Until that time, I am not interested in anything they do.
  4. I'm afraid the helicopter has no scripts, it is the display model :-)
  5. When you cross sim lines, you get handed over to a different server. You can do a few things to make this go smoother. 1 - go slower. Gives the system more time to hand you over (like before you reach the next sim!) 2 - get rid of HUDS you do not need, and other scripted attachments. When you are less "heavy" lag-wise , you are easier to hand over. You don't need your security orb or Mysti (things which scan for avatars are especially laggy) while driving. 3 - Don't do turns on sim crossings. (This means: open the minimap so you can see where these are!) Doing tight turns on a sim crossing, so you may be in the neighbouring sim for only a very brief moment, can result in the system not having time to hand you over to that sim, and back again. 4 - Do not use vehicles with enormous amounts of attachments, they are terrible at crossings. On the eastern side of Abbotts is my hangar. It is not a shop; this is not an advertisement. On the back wall is a board with some notecard givers. One of them is called VOLA. It is meant to be a pre-flight check for pilots but any vehicle user in SL can profit from it. And it's free.
  6. Dunno... I do not consider myself a follower of anyone.
  7. Yeah, I wound up drawing the exact same conclusion not long ago. But I thought it would be funnier to name it Daniels Syndrome.
  8. Ah yes, the ficticious victory bit... been there, seen that. If anything he's interesting from a psychological point of view. Who knows, he may become famous when they name Daniels Syndrome after him ;-)
  9. If Storm succeeds in discussing P. Dipstick with you enough, he will eventually reach increased levels of fame. But Storm is missing a point here. Throughout history we have seen lots of people who have become famous for all the wrong reasons. Criminals, con men, mobsters, war criminals, terrorists, dictators. Nobody in their right mind would call these people celebrities though. Was Augusto Pinochet a celebrity? Jeffrey Dahmer? John Gotti? Carlos 'The Jackal'? Bernard Madoff? I think not. Being known by lots of people simply isn't enough to become a celebrity.
  10. Let's put it this way - if the spammer / troll / griefer is causing paying customers to leave SL, they would be very stupid *not* to act.
  11. If this Bloodlines thing was my greatest problem I'd be the luckiest girl in the world I guess.
  12. I had to google that. H'm, euh, interesting eh... concept there. IBTL. I guess IATL would be proof some actual skill but OK, who am I?
  13. No, can't say I have. But then I am very atypical for SL as I am not a gamer at all.
  14. You do not play games in the feed? What is this page I have up on my screen, where you and some others are trying to guess who MissManaged is, replete with insults to a whole slew of possible identities? Now on my computer it shows as your thread, but that must be a glitch then.
  15. Not quite. I mean when someone for example uses an alt to start a topic, in order to avoid that her "enemies" or "trolls" or whatchamacallit come down to ruin any sensible discussion.
  16. I think my words have been clear enough. I don't see why you think it is necessary to doubt them?
  17. "Griefer alt" is not a term I'd use in this case, but not that I know of. Why do you ask?
  18. I disapprove of this use of alts 95% of the time. I make an exception for people who are almost forced to use alts because their opponents swoop in on everything they say as their main account. But that's a different story. PS, participants "in", not "to".
  19. If you can't handle a bit of confusion then maybe the telephone is your social medium of choice - but stay away from conference calls.
