  1. The way video media use to be done in SL was that way where if you set the parcel media everyone could see it, however it started to become a problem because folks had to deed the tv or controller to the land and if they messed up, they'd have to wait for the sim owner to come online and fix it. Media on a Prim was created to eliminate that issue so nothing had to be deeded.
  2. Because they've moved off to Media on a Prim, I attempted to explain this to you earler. YouTube TVs don't work anymore because of this. You won't find one anywhere.
  3. I don't think there's a way to do that then as most YouTube TVs and huds have broken code from various updates to either YouYube or SL, or use media on a prim.
  4. no, no it can't. The closest you'll get is the MEsh Generator. Make your stuff with prim in world, link it, drop in the script, let it export, import it back in. Boom, done. Easier and less complicated then any 3d sofware out there. Regarding mesh and megaprims: mesh is still bound by 64x64x64m2. Anything bigger really doesn't make any sense which is why LL limited it to begin with. The only place I could see megaprims be effective in anything is on the mainland, but this comparitive of prim vs mesh vs megaprims could go on forever.
  5. And thus mesh and Mesh Generator were born. I know you don't feel their obsolete, however as mesh becomes more popular Megaprims as a whole has become quite obsolete. If not, everyone would have em. This is from an architect/builder's pov.
  6. Ever try Gentek's Condor physics elevator? I've used them in all my builds without issue. Simple instructions and shouldn't be an issue to get to 4000m. If you've used them before and didn't like them, disregard. Aren't too many options out there for what you're looking for unfortunatly.
  7. Today's prim limits let you make prims bigger then 64x64x64, making megaprims obsolete, and is further supported with the creation of mesh. Current prim limits let you make prims bigger then 265x265x265(sim surrounds are bigger then this and are made with one or two prims).
  8. Not sure about a mainstore as i've yet to see plots that big for rent, but have you thought to check out malls from the search list? Might end up better for you. Generall rule of thumb is the higher the traffic, the more popular the area. Other then that you're kinda SOL since marketplace takes a huge chunk from in-world stores.
  9. Unfortunatly for me, the walls are no mod so I wouldn't be able to do that.
  10. Wow that's a heck of an illusion - that's the effect i'm going for anyhow. No way to do that because of ALM huh?
  11. Back in the hayday of SL a prim use to exist that had to ability that if you touched a prim wall with it, would create a hole giving the illusion that you could see right through the wall. Anyone know anything about it? I'm in a unique situation where I need to remove a wall without removing a wall.
  12. if you sell japanese items(even japanese themed) and need less then 30 prims, i know a spot that has free rent.
  13. Not sure about an adboard, but look up Jolbey Advertising. Those folks get the word out.
  14. Greets Everyone, the name's Logan and I'm a mesher available for hire. I build architectual stuff and product displays(houses, shops, stuff for shops, etc...). My rates are fair and below what most charge. I don't check the forum enough to answer posts, so please message me in-world. I have a resume with examples ready to go. Thanks, Logan(Laufiair Hexicola)
  15. I'll look into it in the morning but looks promising, thanks to both of ya - owner of the translator hud said his calls out to a remove server first before sending and receiving the commands to Google. The process sounded very cumbersome and laggy to be honest.
  16. It wont be - i went through the entire 16k of memory that is there and the string isn't there(f there was a way to set two httprequests to pull different parts of the body, it'd be in the second call, but I wasn't able to find out if that was even possible). I purchased a translator that works around the Google change and messaged them so I'll wait to hear back how they did it. This is in hiatus at the moment. Thanks for all the pointers and stuff folks, appreciated it.
  17. you've been very helpful Love and i've appreciated it. Only other thing i can think of is to filter out the body so that i can get the next 16k of data(which is what removing characters from the list would do I think) but iwasn't able to view what's in the list to begin with lol. I'd email it to me, but that's throttled also.
  18. yeah i'm realizing that more and more, which is done from a lag and security point of view. Looks like I get to go translate the entire english dictionary so I have an offline translator(wa-hoo). This process use to be alot simpler from what I remember(being able to remove items from the list so that other characters can fill in).
  19. i have and their outdated - like 10 years outdated. Most translators broke when google changed their api. Of course it'd also be easier if there was a language pack to use but that's difficult with the language i'd like to use this for.
  20. that does work but as it's a google document filled with fluff, it pushes the document's size over the limit. Tried whispering and instant messaging me the document and it gave me a stack_heap error. There has to be a better way to search for the span id i'm looking for.
  21. ok got that situated and still no dice. The page is over the limit(it's a google page). Is there a way to filter the list so there isn't as much in it? As previously stated attempting to add the span i'm looking for to the llParseString2List after HTML and BODY doesn't result anything. Heck attempting to look at list itself doesn't do anything either.
