  1. is that the mesh viewer? those options aren't available in the current official build on the graphics tab....
  2. Originally tags weren't turned on for people below "member" rank. some forums don't allow tagging (namely "off topic" forum, and probably any other hidden forums as well)
  3. I was looking for that link on the $L bonus, because I know the old signup thing used to say 30 days, but everyone I know always got it at 45 or so. thanks for the link.
  4. you can also set auto-decline in some TPV's as well as busy mode doing this, so it's not a 100% accurate method.
  5. I agree... if you post about it in community feedback pm me and I'll back you up.... I also find it annoying that the software continually logs you out, and when you log back in it ignores the page redirect and dumps you on the blogs ever frakking time =(
  6. in that case, turn off relative dates.... I did.... the downside is that you don't get relative dates as a tooltip like you do actual dates.
  7. if you bought $L before through Lindex,, then you may need to file a ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/ with a ticket type of "billing" "LindeX Billing and trading limits review request"
  8. +ability to buy more mainland (although this will raise your tier fees) +ability to bypass land restricted to payment info on file users -account will be frozen if your payment method fails on renewal or you do not have sufficient $US on your account, until the balance is paid off
  9. to my knowledge this feature isn't accessible to us, because of the automatic redirect to the blogs... normally it would be the top level of the site in this software. (as can be seen at http://lithosphere.lithium.com/ if you creat an account)
  10. to claim your linden home follow this link and select the style you like (make sure you are logged in). if you've already done that part, then you should have recieved an email with a link to the location of the new home you selected. if not contact live chat support or file a ticket here your weekly stipend will start the first tuesday after you signed up, although can can take an extra day to show up sometimes, if it hasn't by thursday Pacific time, you can file a ticket at the above link. the signup bonus does not normally show up until 30days after you make you account premium, if it has not shown up after 60days, again, file a ticket (my experience says that it shows up ~45days after the account is opened)
  11. You can take a snapshot by pressing ctrl+` (goes straight to your hard drive with default settings, or the settings you used last) you can open the snapshot control (which has several options) and chose to save the snapshot to your inventory, send it via e-mail, or to your hard drive., you can access this by the button on your bottom toolbar (right click and put a check next to snapshot if not showing) from the world menu, or by ctrl+shft+s. Note that saving a picture inside of SL costs 10$L, but downloading it to your computer is free (and lets you take higher quality pictures too!) once a snapshot is on you computer you can upload it to photobucket of any other website you choose.
  12. and when you add that floor shadow make sure that the opacity of the shadow is less than 50%... in fact I'd aim as far below that as you can manage. why? because the viewer can handle shadows, and those with them on will often have conflicting shadows with the faked ones... but the code for shadows renders an pixel with less than 50% opacity as invisible.... which means you can make you fake shadow disappear, and not conflict with real ones
  13. "open" isn't available for worn items, "edit" --> contents is the only way to get at attached contents
  14. since your inventory is downloaded each time you log in, it can flood some peoples bandwidth and make other things (like the world around them) take longer to download. having a larger cache size seems to help with this a little. there are some things that can timeout while waiting for your inventory to load that may still using some resources that might not be used otherwise, but I'd be suprised if most users could detect this.
  15. you don't. they might tell you, or you might guess by them not responding to you. but you will never know for sure.
  16. yes, those and their variations.... for instance, any number of spaces in front, and/or a leading negation, and any trailing characters. those are the only one specified in the IEEE-754(1985) standard and are used to handle all 5 exception cases in the 2008 version of the standard.
  17. I tried to see if I could come up with a use for the current behavior.... there's one, purposely crashing a script compiled to LSO, and there could be more IF they tweaked MONO... but since it's still broken on some level no matter what... SVC-6847 which has the workaround: (float)llList2String( llParseStringKeepNulls( llToLower( llStringTrim( vStrDta, STRING_TRIM ) ), ["inf", "nan"], [] ), 0 ) ETA: wiki has been updated to include a link to the issue and the workaround
  18. post your code, we'll be happy to unmangle it for you =)
  19. the only keyboard presses that can cause a response from the script are. via llTakeControls Move forward control (↑ or W) Move back control (↓ or S) Move left control (⇧ Shift-← or ⇧ Shift-A [← or A in mouselook]) Move right control (⇧ Shift-→ or ⇧ Shift-D [→ or D in mouselook]) Rotate left control (← or A) Rotate right control (→ or D) Move up control (PgUp or E) Move down control (PgDn or C) Left mouse button control Left mouse button control while in mouselook or via gestures (which can work with the function keys F2-F12 and can be combined withe ctrl or shift), you can chat control messages to a script listening with llListen
  20. well.... known now =/ I didn't realize that it would truncate a string to pull the value out like that before this post (I did know you could typecast the three letter versions, because I TRIED to get it to report extended NaN signalling to make a key crusher)
  21. careful... don't want to sound too much like Lexie.... you remember what happened the last time
  22. I agree that the behavior is stupid... it shouldn't truncate a string, in fact, since nan is no longer processable by MONO (a dumb move if you ask me) it shouldn't be processed at all.... it's also not the only value to do it.... Infinity (inf/iformation) exibits the exact same behavior. but there you have it, that is the "reason".... now get thee over to jira, and complain.... bring up back the link so we can all go and support you. personally I'd like to see them restore MONO's signalling behavior, and even expand on the NaN handling to give full signalling values..... then you could stuff keys inside of rotations. but at the very least this truncation nonsense needs to stop, and if they aren't going to fix extended values, then they shouldn't read them at all.
  23. it's very easy to add things after the fact isn't it? I wasn't the first one who spotted them missing, in the now deleted thread (which I believe was in community feedback forum originally? or was it tech forums?). was that the push that got you to insert it? but good on you for getting arround to doing that.... now if we can get you to stop stealth marketing threads (hint: marketing goes in the marketing forums) and instead get some of the more reputable people on the blog circuit to review it instead, you might have a solid shot at making a go of it. might want to remove any unlicensed music from your promo materials too ::cough:: or the really awful make-money-at-home instant e-commerce flash site that is being hosted on top of it, that amusingly redirects to Target if you mistype a url. and mention that the prims are hosted on your servers in the ad copy and tucked away on the website (and perhaps the fact that residents can't use creations bought in SL except withing the bound of the skybox, and those WILL be limited to SL parcel prim limits) oh, and some business contact infomation if you're expecting to a projected ~450$US+ in profit from would go a hell of a long way towards trust. (ps there's plenty more nefarious that can be done besides storing a persons SL password through an untrusted viewer. which I'm sure a software engineer, with any government security rating at all, knows perfectly well) and just for the record... I like the idea... although I'm not sure it's all that much of an improvement over running your own open sim on your computer, but I can see potential in it. ETA: fixed link
  24. and if that doesn't work....remeber that: attachments are always phantom, Flexible prims will behave as if they are phantom no matter what, sculpted prims will only colide based on a stretched sphere shape that they are built from, non-physical prims spinning because of an llTargetOmega script will only collide based on their original position, prims scripted with llVolumeDetect will require a script to turn that effect off prims scripted with the "phantom child" script will need to have that script removed, and be re-rezzed.
  25. have to place another set text for the else clause (before you only set it in the timer) and there's a dirty trick you can pull... instead of testing for the script name on every inventory read, wait till you are out of your look then use find list, and list replace (or list delete) to get rid of it...less proccessing overall (but not something you could get away with if you were giving or deleting the items inside the loop)
