Yeah, the silence from the Lindens and the Moles on this thread says more about them then they probably intended.

I've seen a lot more of late (Seraphim makes it easy to spot them). I do not participate as they all want 3 things in exchange for a chance to win. One of those things is sharing/liking a post on Facebook. I do not have FB accounts for my avatars. The one I had years ago got locked, and since I cannot prove I'm that avatar in RL I can't unlock it. I also do not want my SL avatar name tied in any way to my real life self. It's that privacy thing. I'm also not going to share these store posts to my friends because only 2% of my FB friend list is from SL.

There is one particular skin store that does morphs in their ads, and there's something so disturbingly wrong with the proportions that it creeps me out. I don't like their skins in the first place, but if they're going to use morphs, get the proportions right!

Wow. I'd never heard of the place, so I went to check it out. Judging by the looks of it, it has not been updated since the advent of mesh. The stores there look like they came straight out of 2008 or Freebie Galaxy. If you're a potential store owner, I think I would look elsewhere, as the Luna Mall is not going to get any traffic other than the odd curiosity seeker. I did not see any posters or kiosks on the site to indicate how one would apply, so it doesn't look like LL is interested in bringing it into 2023.

Back when LL announced the retirement of last names, I rushed to create an alt using a silly first name that would go well with some of the last available last names. I got more than 2 pages of choices. I just kept refreshing until the best candidate presented itself. I like word play. Btw, it's not THIS account. I created a couple of alts after last names were gone, but I'm not going to pay to get them hooked up with the available last names, as they are mostly either unsuitable or completely idiotic. Someone at LL was on a hallucinogenic drug when they thought they would honor us with any potential last name ending in "...dashian."

After all of my years in SL, stores/events still insist on labeling items that cost more than 1L as "gifts." I noticed that a recently opened event has very carefully not labeled the area as gifts, but some of the stores have still labeled them as such. Anything that costs linden dollars is NOT A GIFT, people! It's a discounted item. Don't insult customers by calling it a gift. Secondary gripe: Some of the 50L "gifts" are clothing items with NO DEMOS! I noticed at least one designer who did include a demo, but the vast majority did not. Guess what? I'm not going to throw away my lindens for even a discount item if it has no demo. Guess what, guilty store owners! I am putting you on my permanent Won't Shop There (tm) list. I'm also not spending 50L a piece on a bunch of cheap chokers which is apparently the low-effort "gift" du jour (and always has been).
