I'm not sure that donating LI for a "facelift" cause to a region would really help all that much.. some areas of the Mainland are stuck in a time warp(they are paying for premium to have a build 10+ years old?). They can spruce up areas to some degree, but if somebody's build clashes well.. what was it for? Meanwhile as stated, some players have come together to make their areas quite pretty. Even some of the roadway flora is really nice in some areas, but that can be quickly overlooked by a full bright monstrosity. I think in the end it will be down to the community to make the mainland a better looking place.

They might do that, though i'd be afraid of just how much they'd ask for Plus. Something tells me we'll see a hike in our current premium price soon considering everything ever is going up in price(some for no reason other than "well everybody else is doing it"). I hope i'm wrong. If Plus will have larger houses or more LI, we likely won't see it for a good while as they're not yet done with the normal homes yet. There would have to be less homes on a region, so either even more cloned regions on those, or a heck of a lot more work for our poor Moles.

Business. Second Life is a business. Linden Homes were intended to be "starter" homes. If they give you more LI then you are less likely to give them money either directly(mainland/buying region) or indirectly(renting) for a larger amount of LI as you may not branch out.

I've bought a shape once, and seeing as that creator deemed it then appropriate to try and send me a "gift shape" that had a script wanting access to my Lindens, I will never buy one again. Nor will I recommend that shape maker(and I see them a lot more at events now). I understand why demos don't always exist for shapes, but it is frustrating when you just want to see if it looks any good on your current skin and such. Especially given some of those skins to give the shape it's look don't come in the shade you want.
