    I would suggest keeping an eye on the page in the minutes and even hours following a release, especially if the region released was one with houseboats. One because of  possible abandons, and two because after a release there will always be people who stop watching (the release is done! nothing to watch out for!) and therefore if something comes up, there might be less competition for it. It's not a guarantee, though. That applies to both traditional homes and houseboats, except that it's even more true of houseboats: since there are less of them, they are harder to get. Unfortunately.

    Well, then, maybe your friends might consider applying to become Moles. (I think I saw  a permanent link for the application process somewhere...I can try and find it again if you're interested.) Maybe they'll find themselves hired (maybe there is already a budget for it in place), and that means a greater pool of builders, which is presumably a good thing, as far as the region building process goes.

    And it's either that or not using auto refresh and refreshing manually at random times and being lucky enough to refresh at exactly the right time. It does work for some. but I don't fancy my chances with that...

    It will occasionally alert me, but the page I see is for a Meadowbrook LH. 

    I have double and triple checked my spelling of Bellisseria.

    I am using a laptop with WiFi….perhaps that is an issue?

     

    It's very hit and miss.... And mostly miss, I think. I've seen zero houses/ boats today, though I did see several yesterday (the ones @RaeLeeH and @iBrat also saw) - so I've no idea what's happening. I'm on a 65 seconds refresh, though I doubt it makes that much of a difference. Oh well.

    They go in seconds, though, and the time they are released is never known (and never the same). So it's perfectly possible to never see any, unless you're very lucky or use an auto-refresh extension in your browser. Or both...

    This one is not modular... but it's apparently designed for small spaces, so might work in a Linden home depending on the layout you go with. Low LI too.

    I had a look at it in-world a while ago, and I seem to remember it does look a bit nicer in the marketplace ad, but see what you think.

    I second Aria & The Loft for a modern look - some great options, and usually lots of texture change options.

    Not from the computer, from SL or the forum ... just from this refreshing madness! - and it was relaxing!

    Oh, thank you @Leora Jacobus, but it's not too bad - I spent the weekend at the computer for other reasons anyway, so it was no big deal. And I was very lucky (and deliriously happy) to get a home a couple of days before the refresh restrictions, but the spot is a bit laggy, so now I'm just looking for a less laggy location. 

    And yes! it can be very relaxing to step away from the refreshing for a bit, that's for sure.

    Oooh, thank you! Your place looks amazing, and on less than 175 prims? That's just incredible. I'm in awe of how well everything works together and how sophisticated it all looks like. I especially love the kitchen. I think I'm going to do mine in a very similar way - well, if I do end up having a kitchen-, I hope you don't mind 😊. That concrete worktop is exactly what I've been looking for!
