  1. Just a waitin here for my Unicorn to arrive 💘
  2. Very different look for you Taya!!! I like the K-Pop vibe. It looks like @Eva Knoller is rubbing off on you despite @Orwar disapproval
  3. So, this is one of my all time favs from you! I love your focus on your new eyes...lovely. I took the liberty of tweaking your photo, trying to further highlight your eyes. Not sure if you like better...??? Anyway, I imported into PS, duplicated the background layer, Gaussian Blurred at 10 pix, erased your image from the blurred layer, hit your eyes with a bit extra highlights...save as jpeg. ~ S
  4. Didn't spend anytime inworld today, but had an extra pic from my Pirate adventure the other day. HYL 😘
  5. There are a multitude of ways to approach photography in SL. There are also extended conversations between us regarding your question. I’d recommend going back 100 pages or so on this thread and you’ll get a lot of great tips there. Also, make note of those of us who’s postings you enjoy and either message us outside this forum or ask us directly here what we did or how we shot something. Because there is a ton to know on this subject and many friends here who are literally experts, I’ll just give you my quick 2 cents. So, inworld, I’m choosing my look, wardrobe, finding sims or backgrounds to shoot (with or without other avi) usually I’m shooting by myself. There are extensive adjustments within Firestorm, such as graphics quality and depth of field adjustments that will give your final pictures very refined results. Then there are various lighting adjustments, specifically, Windlight presets to fool around with. And finally the Phototools within SL to discover. My personal process is, once I have my outfit, background and poses decided upon, I then shoot (screenshots) on a 4K iMac using command, shift, 5 (new IOS trick). That allows me to specifically frame the shot percisously. I can shoot repeatedly with the exact framing in order to attempt to capture the look and feel I’m going for. After that... I select my shots from usually dozens (like the old school contact proofs) and import into Photoshop. I clean up, crop or adjust lighting and export as a .jpeg file because I find .png files to be way to large for the forum limitation of 4.33mg max file(s) size. (Approx... on the max file size). Believe me, many people you see as consistent posters have become experts in SL photography and are better then myself at diving deep into all of the aspects of avi photography! My attempt here was to share an overview of my process so you have my insight:) Please please... keep posting- we love to see all your beautiful photos!!!’ 💕 ~ Sara 💋
  6. Laika, I love the lighting you always get! The warm skin tones are wonderful... are you using your own light sources? WL?
  7. I am sort of back to my normal self/look, after playing around with superhero outfits etc for the last month! ... whew, it took a lot to reacquaint myself with my wardrobe/inventory! I got exhausted just trying everything on... I just gave up and just threw on a black suit...
  8. Great shot! Really lovely... you look like your in a classic Hitchcock film
  9. Super cute look... very Italian, with the Vespa and all. Great shot. That store in the background looks to have cool stuff..??? Is it real or BD?
  10. Well I thought I was done (for the moment) doing the costume thing, but then this Pirate outfit locked in my inventory, never worn was screaming.... "wear me Sara....wear me Sara...." so I did and well, the Pirates life for me, yo ho, yo ho
  11. Thank you Scylla for your offer... no, these stone guys took me to their castle 🏰. Let’s just say, it was interesting ... lol! A struggle ensued and I easily got away
  12. 🐞 This is definitely some kind of karate pose, and it really shows off these soldiers/ robot legs. Re: these legs.... I love how old school tech they are, yet look so very feminine and sexy... my typical schedule/mode would be onto the next look by now, but I just wanted to keep wearing these l legs... is this wrong!???? So for real, I’m moving on, but wanted to highlight them for this last series picture.
  13. Thanks! The look was really fun to put together and is very eclectic for me.... Fairytale Hair from Boudoir, these robot legs, Goth skin, the sexy corset... Personally I was needing to do something very different for my virtual soul. However, based on the “likes”, I’m not sure that everyone liked Sara going off script.. BTW- I love Neph, just for the record @Orwar - just sayin Just now I was thinking that maybe I can translate this look to my Alt????? Hummm;) This, my girlfriend, is amazing! Capturing your inner emotions is a huge goal I strive for and you just crush it every time!
  14. So I was really trying to change up my look into a kind of glam goth.... robot I guess? I just love the way it all came together. Now I need somewhere to go!!!
  15. Scylla, great topic and nice job involving yourself and moving the thread along! Anyway, for me I can relate to everyone’s comments in one way or another. As a little girl my biggest influence was always my mother. When she was 18 she work daily with and for, YSL himself, as his personal assistant. As a result of that experience, my mother’s stlye was heavily influenced by all the master Italian and French designers like Gucci, YSL etc.. (Coco as well).... so growing up with that, definitely influenced my style decisions as an adult. With that said, most day to day Fashion trends in many US cities are decidedly casual and fashion backwards compared with cities like Milan, Paris etc... I fell into that super casual trap myself. My rl job as an interior designer requires me to dress the part “as a designer” for clients and that usually means black everything... jeans, shoes, hats, sunglasses skirts, tops, jackets! Now leggings are the new official uniform in Southern California. 😎 I play in SL for fun. Period. It’s a way to destress (usually), explore, be creative, connect with amazing people and experiment with style and fashion. In SL I get to be supermodel tall (5’6 in rl), I have the ability to change my hairstyles on a whim (blond in rl) I can walk around in 6-8” heels 👠 all day and never break a sweat... and I can fly... seriously So, I’m not really trying to replicate my rl limitations or clone myself into SL, because for me half the fun is pushing my Avi into experiences never ever possible for us in rl. My typical day in SL is shopping, shopping and shopping.... then discovering a cute look (many I’d never even attempt in rl) and then find a sim to shoot a photo and then finally sharing my pics with you all! So, with so much clothing available for pennies (compared to buying an identical outfit in rl) I’m like a kid in the candy store and get into the everything is free mode. So, yes Zeta... I too am a SHOPAHOLIC AND SL IS TO BLAME!!! Ok, now I feel so much better...., whew.... ok..., breathing... better ..., now.... I love that I can buy a batgirl outfit for $1 or a designer coat for $2! I love to become a plat blond one day and raven blk the next. I have thousands of amazing items to mix and match, and that ability to creatively curate a wardrobe in SL is now influencing my style choices in rl today. (slowly migrating away from black) I discover design styling in-world that I now put together in rl! I’m now way better at pushing the fashion needle forward for my personal choices today as a direct result of my SL addiction! So I experiment a lot, and when you guys seem to like a look or outfit that I love 💕 too.... that affirmation has had a very positive effect on me spillingover into my rl fashion sensibility.
  16. I basically upended my life and moved to Southern California... for the weather:) Not nearly as warm as St Petersburg, Fl but I'm not complaining. Everyone else...please stay warm...burrr
