About Me

  1. The Sea Dome A kind friend showed me the Sea Dome at the Blake Deeps. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blake Coast/211/167/6 I think this is a very good place to show to any newcomer. It is cozy and I seen absolutely no dangers of getting confronted with adult content. The information board on the Blake Deeps area can be helpfull. There are 4 sitting corners for small groups to just sit and talk. The tier is general and you can rez items.
  2. Neverdie A pirate's fantasy 10th and last-but-not-least newby friendly SIM on my list. The tier and content are adult. The sphere is welcoming and free. ''Welcome to Neverdie Paradise. You are the honored guest of DW Diavolo. Please feel free to explore and enjoy this little piece of the Florida Keys. I ask you to be considerate of others. Skyboxes are strictly private.'' DW Diavolo The story says I crashed on Neverdie while testing my little plane and Neverleft for a while. The mornings started with a quick wash and a strong breakfast. On a normal day I would guard my newfound treasures, chat with the birds and check the pools for leftover food and clothing. I often watched fireworks all evening and also payed visits to some neighbours. I should mention dear 12. She really likes company and the way she serves beer can make a pirate drink about anything. Do not mention the rum and she may even give you a hug. I finally left in one of the old rowing boats, hoping nobody would miss it ... and well, if so, feel free to use my old plane as shelter. Crash spot: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neverdie/56/165/32 Fireworks: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neverdie/230/208/32 12: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neverdie/199/186/22
  3. Raglan Shire, a ''tiny'' exploration A kind friend offered me a TP to this world. A cluster of 8 ''tiny'' sims: Raglan Shire, Haven Shire, Galaxy, Raglan Commons, Morning Shire, Heron Shire, Athen Shire and Gullwing Coast. The tier is general and my explored area's are family friendly. Let's start with a free tiny avatar! Free Tiny Avatars: - The chubby penguin I used is available on marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Chubby-Penguin-avatar-FREE/2223794- The very recommendable San Jose shop has several avatars and clothing: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SJSU SLIS/207/202/32 In the Raglan cluster itself: - The Welcome Center at Raglan Central has two avatars: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Raglan Shire/106/200/59 - Willow Creek at Raglan Commons has an avatar and a clothing set: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Raglan Commons/21/103/22 A sidenote about the "JaJa" tag Now that I am at SIM 9/10 and about to make a detour to favorite freebee item(s) I feel I should explain here my use of the "JaJa" tag. In my first language JaJa means YesYes. On here it stands for my original struggle as noob account not a week old, but with intention to get to the core right away. No time for classes or groups or casual chats. Go right away where you came for, do not wait to become experienced in SL. I am coming out with a list of 10 SIMs for noobs as me to visit where you can autodidact your own way into SL without getting instant-infected by the complications many old accounts suffer from. For the list ofcourse just click my tag. The JaJa tag in short means you DO NOT NEED: - SL age - SL Lindens - change standard avatar, viewer or settings - high performance PC - enter groups or interact with people beyond your personal choice My route thru the Raglan Cluster: I took the cross-sim Balloon from Raglan Shire hub for a first overall sight. You might have to wait a bit, but then it comes, be awake and hop on a free toadstool seat. Passing Galaxy Island. Self proclaimed surfer´s heaven, but all surfers must be dead now, either by Tsunami or by shark attack... I did not gamble my life this time, I'll just dare others to add an action picture this time. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Raglan Galaxy/124/131/22 Next stop is Raglan Commons. Despite it being tennants land, it is very welcoming to tourists. Do explore by bubble! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Raglan Commons/235/174/23 Passing Heron Shire. Had to run for my life after accidently opening the bridge! I made a tour on a very cute duck to recover before I moved on. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Heron Shire/160/207/22 t.b.c.
  4. Cloud Nine Gardens of Grace A group of islands with stunning nature and covered in so-subtle animation spots. I felt at home within a couple of minutes. Most spots are romantic, but some are real funny and there's also Tai Chi and Lotus. The tier is moderate, but it is also a Memorial SIM so rules apply: Aridis Inaka's 'Crow Bot : Welcome to Gardens of Grace. Please feel at home and respect those visiting this sim. Absolutly no nudity and no solliciting. Thank you. When I arrived it was dark night so I waited... And when the lights grew strong again I went back to the entrance for my Rose Petal Ride. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cloud Nine/128/128/34 Afterwards I got lost but Sim Guardian Maleficent helped me out very kindly. <3 JaJa
  5. Village of Ahiru Edo Japan Sim Lovely retreat place, adapted to renters AND tourists. Read rules at entrance or just don't go in houses with a tennant mailbox. Lots of other things to find. The tier is moderate. No flying. Teleports are only possible thru the SIM Map. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ahiru/64/44/2502 I first helped out the locals repairing their fishing nets. They gave me tea and a bath, good trade! Then, near the end, pink blossoms and birds whistling, wouldn't this be the meaning of life? So glad I found the sim still in spring and I want to see all the other seasons. Landscaper Hatsumomo: I love managing Ahiru SIM and changing the seasons. I hope you enjoy the various spaces I make there. Seeing people spend time in them is one of the greatest rewards! <3 JaJa
  6. Moonglow Castle Mahulu, vulcanic environment, cycles for day-night, sunny-misty, sun-moon. General tier. Moonglow castle, so much to see inside, take your time for every step. Sensitive souls should take someone to hold their hand. It can be so bloodchilling... http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mahulu/68/40/90 Afterwards dance off that chill at Hell's Gate. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mahulu/201/120/86 Quote from Owner Sin Speculaas' profile, by James Michener: "The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, he simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.''
  7. Da Vinci Gardens General tier, romance-themed, filled with castles, spectacular nature, nice content and other people. My favorite for the great choice in tours and the Space-Disco. I started on a very high tower, if you follow: enjoy the view and do not forget to check that ceiling! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/210/132/63 Then... jump down for a tour. Dragon, gondola, feet. ***** Some other realms of the Da Vinci Gardens: Egypt Plenty guided tours and a quest; I won Lindens and died on a pile of skulls. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/95/125/1965 Winterworld A very white world. So many castles. Animals too. Slayride and skating! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/203/122/2802 Ancient Realm Do fly with the owl. A river and again many castles. Picknicks! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/196/60/2238 Renaissance More castles, rose gardens, dancing halls en swings! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/209/102/25 Atlantis Ride a seahorse or dance like one. It is also very mermaid-friendly. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/60/4/3 Then finally DISCO in SPACE. Dance !!! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kalepa/184/233/495 <3 JaJa
  8. Darkwood A sweet place with French radio! The tier is general, rez is not allowed. Some parts have group-restricted acces and I could not figure out certain features but there is plenty to look at an get lost in. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/DarkWood/48/218/24 The area is nice for meditation. At the Darkwood circle or at this great spot in the Sentinel: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/DarkWood/21/247/25 Do some dancing underwater, ride the Eye of Sauron and lay on top of it all: <3 JaJa
  9. Mont Saint Michel The tier is moderate and the sim is family friendly. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mont Saint Michel/251/111/32 My obligatory start: fly up for a mission impossible trying to frame it all. A very succeeded representation of the real thing, owned by group ´´Le Mont Saint Michel´´. Lots to see inside. Super bien fait! Feels like the real thing, especially the use of lightning contrasts while walking thru. If you like shopping, plenty little stores, but I preferred the local pub to chill out. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mont Saint Michel/227/95/27 <3 JaJa
  10. The Fallen God's Arcipelagus. Sea with several islands. The owner Fallen Gods INC has headquarters and shop on the largest island Selidor. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Selidor/159/185/23 I found it thru a search on ruines and castles and it is my favorite SIM for their 3D landscapes are so amazingly beautiful! Furthermore the interiors are fantastic and the habitants seem to be very friendly. The islands can be used to rez, the tier is Moderate. My starting point was Aear. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Aear/72/149/21 This is how it looks from afar: At the info-board it reads: Dear Visitor, Welcome. Enjoy the Summer evening breeze, the rich Forest's scent, the powerful or quiet Sea and all the imagination and comfort it can bring to your eyes and peace to your senses. Take a walk, listen to music or to the Sounds of nature and environment, play with time and sky environmental settings to discover which atmosphere fits you most. Hidden Treasures and secrets may be found too... I hope truly you enjoy your stay, Wishing the Time flows slow for you, Alia Baroque The Arcipelagus is a place for all. Tollerance and respect are the only things needed to be welcomed, always and however you are or want to be, and those two qualities embrace a lot of simple ways of relating to others and to the place itself. Please respect the privacy of people that might take an embrace on the shore, don't shout or grief in a way you already know is not acceptable in SL. Here the magnificent Gatetower on North Annon, seven floors to discover. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Annon/157/183/39
