As described in the OP, "The front door is in the river and the deck is near the road" - I initially read "dock" instead of "deck" but I see what you mean.
I still assume the other houses aren't like that. If there's a road, you'd think the road would be the "front" of the house. And the deck would be in "back".
But maybe not for the "river" homes. How confusing!
If instead they really had said "dock", then it would actually make no sense at all for a "dock" to not be at the river side.
This is why I finally paged a Mole after reading other people's responses.

First the transfers will go trough FedNow into systems like PayPal, but eventually the PayPals will go away and consumers will have a digital money account with the Fed. But then again, the USA refused to adopt the metric system, so this may well be another failed attempt LOL
The FAQ specifically says that it is for bank transfers..
Edited to add: If you are correct, it's just one of those "end times" things. Nothing to worry about, move along.

Edit: There has to be some reason LL hasn't announced on their own site. That's a red flag for me. Not necessarily a bad thing but red flag none the less.

Think I figured it out, try this theory on for size.
The reason the whole Social Casino / Helios implementation seems so "off" is, LL created it using suggestions made from asking an AI, as an experiment!

By the way, this isn't meant as a political post, I really just don't understand it...nobody called Obama or George Bush "Mr President" after they served their terms...so is this a new thing? Sometimes it feels like the last 3 years were a crazy dream, so it would be good to know I'm not imagining it
The term "former President" is used when not addressing the person directly. Addressing them as "President" after they leave "office" is not a "rule".

In oh so many ways it is ironic, which might result in feeling peevish, that I'm actually feeling warm and fuzzy towards the Forum, especially the General Discussion subform. I'm feeling grateful, even... for the GD Forum! (read that GD anyway you wish).
A little over 8 months ago I started talking in DM to another Forumite, Da5id Weatherwax. We "met" here. In this virtual place. We bantered in public. We clicked (pun intended). Eight months ago we did the SL partner thing. Today is our 8th month anniversary.
When I met him I had one foot in SL and one foot out the door, for good. I was done with SL. But miracles of miracles, the stupid SL Forum put two people together, 5 time zones apart. We are doing so well. I'm so happy. And in the relatively near future (within a 12-month year), I'm hoping to make a trek across The Pond so we can do this thing in person. We both know the SL to RL journey is fraught with difficulties, but... yeah. This is looking wonderful.
And it wouldn't have happened without... omg, it is so hard to believe, the SL Forum, GD subforum. Even this thread had its huge part to play. Who would've thunk? Not me. This place has given me a lot of heartache and heartburn over the years, and yet, it may be responsible for a huge YAY! So... Today being our anniversary and I'm a wee bit tipsy on wine, and feeling all mushy and stuff, just wanted to do a big ole "I looooooooove you guys!" and thank "the forum" (however one thanks such a thing) in person.
Finding love in the SL Forum. It doesn't get weirder than that. Cool, huh?

I generally don't use search terms in the destination guide. I check.out specific tabs. Editor's Pick (which the casino is in), Newly Added ( also in), Photogenic spots, etc.
I use the regular search for a specific place such as store.or club.
I don't search in general, I figure the coolest place is wherever I happen to be at a given moment.

Interesting to me is, that popup does not say you are paying for something in particular.
You are just paying them.
Of course, that is probably "normal" for Second Life transactions.
Since all these are going to SocialCasino Linden, that dawg must be rich by now!
Also interesting is, they "COULD" have set it up to buy Tokens and pay "nobody" (because they own the entire system of transacting) but that would take some effort so.."Let's just use the normal buy/pay scheme. We'll just have all payments go to SocialCasino Linden."
