    Me too - had the same email provider (not proton) for so long I can't recall - over twenty years certainly.

    Wow, that makes me wonder..would I still be able to create an account with my AOL address? LoveX is old enough that I used AOL with her and my main LoveZ.

    (I would be using the same address as I use now.)

    Luckily, I don't need to create a new account.

    If AOL goes the way of the Dodo, us oldbies are doomed. DOOMED I say!!

    The only "link" they have is that you yourself made them.

    Can't LL see that you're using the same PC ("MAC address", etc.)?  For instance, to "ban" accounts LL thinks are related.

    I know IP addresses are less useful these days due to everyone using VPN's.  But I had a memory that your "unique PC identifier" (whether MAC or otherwise) could be used by LL.

    My half of a collaborative shot with my friend Kyle Racho.

    Disclaimer: he came up with the idea, made the poses, and set up the shot. My masterful contribution was to point and click.

    I think he did a wonderful job.

    How did you get the "Extras"?

    Are they 2D pictures of avatars?  I just assumed you didn't get 5 other avatars to log in for the shot..

    The point that LL burned the house down to build it before selling it and selling themselves is still relevant.

    LL is over here all like, "Burning Down the House!" (Talking Heads), then they're ALSO all like, "I'm Still Standing"! (Elton John)

    So many 80's references!

    Get off my lawn!

    Sansar might be gone, but the effects aren't.

    I think, and hoped, that LL learned a nice lesson in "What Not to Do"!

    Instead of typecasting manually, it might be easier to use this function:

    list CastList(list L) {
        integer i = llGetListLength(L);
        while(--i > -1) {
            string d = llStringTrim(llList2String(L, i), STRING_TRIM);
            if (llGetSubString(d, 0, 0) == "<") {
                if (llGetSubString(d, -1, -1) == ">") {
                    list s = llParseString2List(d, [","], []);
                    integer sl= llGetListLength(s);
                    if (sl == 3) L = llListReplaceList(L, [(vector)d], i, i);
                    else if(sl == 4) L = llListReplaceList(L, [(rotation)d], i, i);
                }
            }
            else {
                if (~llSubStringIndex(d, ".")) {
                    if ((float)(d + "1") != 0.0) L = llListReplaceList(L, [(float)d], i, i);
                }
                else {
                    if ((string)((integer)d) == d) L = llListReplaceList(L, [(integer)d], i, i);
                    else {
                        if ((key)d) L = llListReplaceList(L, [(key)d], i, i);
                    }
                }
            }
        }
        return L;
    }

    Use it like:

    list tempCamSettings = CastList(llParseString2List(temp,["#"],[""]));//convert to list

    and then llSetCameraParams(tempCamSettings); should work as intended.

    Nice function, looks pretty "clean"!

    Having a domain name can be very useful. E.g. phil@domain.xxx, another@domain.xxx, etc.

    Now, your email addresses would probably be rejected like they are today for certain "supposedly legitimate" email providers.  (Those email providers have a "low trust score" according to research by one of the Forumites in the thread that was about. Something similar to "trust score", at least.)

  8. Since Tilia's business model is to make some type of profit from the current payment arrangements, I do not support any changes that in reducing Tilia's ability to make money, could result in harming Linden Lab (assuming LL still has some stake in TIlia).  Because I like Second Life.

    Down with FedNow!

    That being said, I think any assumptions that FedNow will impact anything besides "Bank payments", is grossly premature. Fed = Federal Reserve = ACH Payments between and to/from Banks. This has absolutely nothing to do with credit card payments.  Whack-a-doodle conspiracy theories aside.

    OTHER countries benefit from going "cashless" (lots of small payments from their cellphone).  They benefit because they needed a way to pay for things.  We already have ways to pay for things.

    I repeat: crazy conspiracy theory.  Whackjob, tinfoil hat. You get the idea.
