You're comparing apples to oranges and not very well either. I'm not a gamer so all those examples are irrelevant and as Prokofy said, those are all 2D with no interaction.

I always make copies of my shape and stick them in the head demo folder but your idea works too.

Years ago, I had a custom celtic knot made for my shoulder. I don't think I could tolerate getting one in RL. Just the thought of it makes me shudder.

From where I come from, tattoos (even girly and cutesy-wutesy ones) are still kinda taboo and many establishments ban you from entering if you have them so they are one of my repressed RL desires that I can only live vicariously through my avatar. I always admired the Suicide Girl aesthete but I can only enjoy that on SL especially now that I have kids and I do not want them to be ostracized because their mom looks like a gangster lol
My go-to “parlors” are DAPPA, Vegas, and Garden of Ku. I have bought so many sets from them that I pay compliments to other avis when I spot them wearing familiar styles. In my earlier days, I liked Seven of Himeji. I think some of their works are still available on the marketplace.
Tattoos can also cover skintone disparities and that unsightly line between mesh head and body that no neck fixer seem to fix for me.I used to wear them in SL for years. I'm not sure when I stopped or why I did. My go to store used to be White Widow. I haven't seen anything from them lately at any of the events though. When I did wear them, I like symmetry and they always had that. I've never owned one where it was random stuff here and there. To me, it would be too messy and make me crazy with sides not matching. Hey, I'm a little OCD, what can I say.

Although, in theory, I agree they can be helpful but as I mentioned, they aren't always truthful. I never purchased anything based on a review but then I normally only buy off MP from creators I'm already familiar with or who have a demo which I always try first. Anything gadget, house or other than clothing related, if they have an inworld store, I'll go there to demo a product. A lot of the time it's something someone I know has recommended to me personally.

I think the reviews should be done away with completely. Someone recently posted about her MP sales being down and wondered why. So I went and took a look at her MP store. Frankly, I found most of her items to be sub par compared to similar items. At least front e pictures. However, one item had 40+ 5 star reviews. Curious, I checked the.profiles for 10 or so reviewers. Even curiouser is the fact most I checked were day old, had completely blank profiles and strangely similar names. So what is the point of the reviews when the can be skewed the other way as well.

Edit: Belinda, I don't know how BOM works either. I thought it was affecting how my hairs sit on my head - it isn't as I thought BOM was a whole system but I don't know anything about it. I don't know how the heck it works or what it is doing either, but I do have a better avatar complexity and better computer performance as far as FPS I'd like to keep testing to see what's going on with that. BOM seems to up my frames per second in busy places and I have less lag. I dunno why or if it's a coincidence with things moving to the cloud or what but I'd still like to do some tests on it.
Go BOM if and when you have a real reason too, is my best opinion about the whole thing, because it's frustrating.
If you edited your shape for your new head, this is probably the cause of your hair not fitting. Did you use a copy of your strawberry shape when starting with your new one? If so, check to see that the head shapes are the same size and especially forehead slope (not inworld so not sure what it's called). Nothing about BOM would cause your hair not to fit. Only a change in your head numbers.

I'd like to hear from others if it is possible to get banned from certain stores on the MP or from vendors at a fair.. That's a new one on me..
There was a girl in another thread recently who was banned from buying from a mesh head store. On MP and inworld so apparently, it's possible. I don't see the rational behind banning the purchase of a product. As the OP mentioned, it's kind of shooting yourself in the foot. If I were banned from a store, especially for a bad review, I'd be sure to tell all my friends about it. And they'd tell some friends and so on. If you don't want bad reviews, don't sell on the MP. It's part of the process and to me, it only shows that the merchant knew they had inferior products and didn't want anyone else to know.

But you don't need it if you've turned on BOM from the HUD. Using a relay makes no sense whatsoever if your head and body are already BOM. You turn it on once and done.

LL can charge whatever they feel they need to charge. They can double or triple the price of land, membership, whatever they choose. We also have the choice not to pay. I don't NEED my plot of land. I can easily log in and out pretty much anywhere. If I wanted to build something, there are 3746574837 sandboxes in which to do so. SL is only expensive in comparison to what each person feels is too much. A lot of people spend hundreds a month eating dinner out or seeing a movie. Others have memberships to county clubs. Everyone decides on what and how much to spend on luxuries. Do I think it's expensive? To own a SIM, yes but that's not an important aspect to me.

Love the one from .Shi. Not sure if I've tried that one yet. How old is that one from Argrace since I know they retired most of their older styles which is a shame.
