It's time for a friendly reminder .... The OP's original statement set the framework for a discussion about "The problem of how to have a civil society online". Somewhere in the past couple of pages, the conversation veered way off topic. Let's try to yank it back again.

Hey, gang! Things are starting to get a bit personal.
Before you hit the button to make your next post, please ask whether you are about to make a worthy contribution to the thread. If you're tossing angry words or overreacting to a personal comment, count to ten and then back away from the button. Discussion is fine. Personal argument and inflammatory language are not.

SSP?

There's no rule to say that the numbers have to be sequential. 😉

SSP?

6 hours ago, Teresa Firelight said:how many regions is it now? (and yea I know it is still growing beyond that....)
Roughly 1800, depending on how you count them and on whether it's before or after lunchtime, when the deco crews take a break.

Awww... those are lovely archival photos. Back in the day, moles wore those clumsy protective suits all the time. Those helmets with the long noses were hot and very difficult to work in, to say nothing of being very unfashionable. Fortunately, modern lightweight materials have made it possible to work in gear that is hardly visible unless you look very closely. Also, thanks to improved agreements between labor and management, we now do much of our hazardous work remotely and have much better conditions for workplace safety. In fact, except for the QA crew, many of us no longer need to wear protective gear at all.

Maybe I can help a little ....
Hikaru Mogura is Sparkling Mole
Tsuki no Mogura is almost Moonstruck Mole (Close, but "Moonstruck" was too hard to translate well. )
Kishimu (squeak) is for Squeaky Mole
Koko Wa Doko means "Where are we?"
Uchikina Yurei = "Shy Ghost"
Hiroi Touri is a wide street
Akiko is for Yosano Akiko, Meiji poet, feminist, and social reformer, a controversial figure in her day.
There's probably more in there somewhere, but maybe that helps a bit. Region names in Bellisseria often have buried back stories or allusions. And sometimes not.

Please refer to the Community Participation Guidelines regarding flaming:
"Flames" are hostile or disruptive posts, or messages intended to incite an angry response.
It is not always easy for moderators to decide what a poster's intent may be. If context and wording make it fairly clear that a post is meant to provoke an angry response, however, moderators will step in.

OK, time out! Everyone, take a step back from the keyboard. Then take a very deep breath, close your eyes, and count to ten.....
Then, contemplate the words of the Community Participation Guidelines, which have carefully-chosen language about what we are supposed to be avoiding, like
Interpersonal disputes or personal negative commentary
Hostile or disruptive posts, or messages intended to incite an angry response
Off topic content
Frivolous or malicious use of the abuse report feature
This is a nice, spirited thread. (OK, maybe "spirited" is putting a bit of a spin in it, but it has been engaging.) It does not deserve to go down in flames.

Nah..... the only job I would accept at LL would be in the role of Clueless Linden.Ah ha! That's exactly what a mole would say.
Gotcha!
A real mole would cast suspicion on someone else.

Once again, the thread has drifted off topic. The OP is about unwanted sexual comments in SL, not about RL.

This is a really energetic discussion, but it's drifted way off topic. The OP was about unwanted sexual comments in SL, not about RL sexual abuse. Conversation started wandering a few pages ago, but it's not too late to wander back.

Hmm.. That's odd. We've upgraded that custom color system a few times, but I've never seen it do that. I'll have to dig into it to see what's up. Thanks, Nika.
BTW, the custom interior colors have always been managed in a HUD. It attaches as soon as you select it with the Color Picker button in the Decorate >>> Walls >>> My Colors dialog menu. When you apply the color you created, it is stored in the house's local memory (which is why it is not available if you rez a new house later), and then the HUD detaches. All of the preset colors are hard-coded into the house's control panel and your choices are saved in KVP (so they are available when you rez a new copy of the house), along with other decor choices you have made.

A quiet reminder: If you have a personal disagreement, do not post about it on the Second Life community pages. That includes disagreements with merchants or landlords. Generic rants are fine, but please do not identify the target.

Meanwhile, back on topic ...... please.

Anticipating what Abnor would say .... that's more than a small change, since it would involve rebuilding the mesh models for the houses and adjusting all of the scripts. If you look carefully at the information notecard that is in the House Controller (mailbox) for every single Linden Home, you'll find a note that says. "Please note also that Linden Lab may offer new house models or upgraded versions of existing ones from time to time. When that happens, current residents will be notified. You may choose to use the House Controller to select a new model or upgrade at any time." That's not a promise or a timeline, but a weasely way of saying that someday we just might update houses if we think of better ways to do things (or if we find - gasp - things that need to be fixed). 😉

Check your parcel again. I asked someone to take a look at it. The house controller seems to be working fine. There's a houseboat on the parcel now. If you want a different one, just click the controller (the life buoy on the dock) and select a new one. You should probably pick up all the stuff you left underwater there, BTW.
If your house controller ever fails to work in the future, click and HOLD on it for a few seconds to restart its script. If that doesn't work, contact Live Chat or submit a support case.

if you're working on a new building it's useful to be able to leave it in place for more than a day!
Especially if you have the luxury of being able to leave trash all over your workspace too.
