    Hey, gang!

    I have just removed a handful of posts that were off topic and were stressing the limits of civility. Please remember that this thread is about Pet Peeves.  It is not a place to air personal grievances about each other, particularly not about carrying on an argument that may have started somewhere else.  Take your disagreement off line rather than derailing this thread and generating further incivility. If you feel that you have witnessed a violation of the TOS or the guidelines for these forums, please use the abuse report processes.

    Good morning, gang!

    This is a good discussion but it would be much better without some of the abusive language that has been appearing occasionally. Disagreement is the heart of a good debate, but messages intended to provoke an angry or negative response are not welcome here.

    There is no policy change. You are welcome to discuss items related to SL in the forums. As always, if you want to suggest feature changes, submit the requests through the JIRA. Linden Lab will not act on a request made in the forums. And please don't tag specific Lindens to try to get them to pay attention to your requests. 

    If you believe that you have witnessed a violation of the TOS or the Forum Guidelines, report it by submitting an AR or making a report to the moderators.

    Please refrain from posts that name and shame other residents or businesses.

    My Linden Houseboat

    The spot you have identified is on the pier between two houseboat parcels. The one to the top (north) is yours, as you can verify by clicking About Land anywhere in the parcel and looking for the owner's name. The houseboat is on the left end (west) of the parcel, in the water. Walk down the pier to that end of the parcel and click on your House Controller to get a notecard describing all the features of the home (and other exciting things).

    Whoa!

    Things are teetering very close to the edge.  Please step back.  Spirited discussion and constructive disagreement are welcome, but name-calling and airing of grievances are not appropriate in our discussion areas. Residents who have personal differences have other channels of communication available to them.

    It feels like time for the periodic reminder that this thread -- as relaxed as it seems -- is not a thread for extended discussions. As Seicher Rae pointed out politely,

    Discussion of interpersonal disputes, abuse issues, or complaints regarding other Residents is not appropriate for the Second Life forums. We ask that you keep any and all issues that you may have with another Resident between you and the other party.  You may wish to review portions of the Terms of Service regarding conduct. Fortunately, we have an appropriate means by which you can report abuse.

    If you feel that you have encountered a violation of the Second Life Terms of Service in-world, please report it by filing an Abuse Report using the in-world Report Abuse tool. When completing the report, please provide as much detail as you can and include a screenshot if possible. If an account name is not available, please file the report using the account name of “Governor Linden” and include an explanation in the details.

    If you have already filed an in-world abuse report, we thank you.
