Secondlife is a metaverse where people can meet up in a virtual environment. I strongly recommend you read a book called 'Snow Crash.' This will give you an idea of what a metaverse can be. I use SL as an outlet for dreams and fantasies which for whatever reasons may never come true in RL. Second life for me is a land of fantasies, dreams and exploration of the psyche of other people. Everyone will say something different, because we all are! *smiles softly.*

I think that's an amazing thing to do, TP in and save one person! I may do that next newbie I meet, TP them, take them freebie shopping, maybe make a few shapes to cater for a few different styles... You've inspired me mister!

If I understand the OP correctly, I believe her intentions are to cover her costs in game, not to cover her RL costs... However of RL costs are what you intend to cover, real estate would be the only thing I could picture giving anything near a steady income, or creating... But fo covering your SL costs and to make your way in world, DJing jobs are everywhere!

I would sooner say I know how to track someone's IP address and matched it with the alt than some un-believable 'i know a linden' story. Although for me both options are un-believable

I poked a poster in Next and wondered where the Pay option had gone... Figured the script must have glitched or something, poked again.... Realised how silly I must have looked when the store assistant asked if I needed any help, a freaked out look on her face...... I really wanted that Shape.....

When I landed on newbie island all that time ago there were three griefers at the 'starting pad' when I appeared I had a ton of very vile IMs, it was a rough start, so what I did was copy pasted the IM's out loud and just said 'who can teach me the block function?' I was lucky in that a veteran girl was hanging around and very kindly helped me to block the offenders, this only stops the messages and verbal abuse, but sometimes that's enough. Every starter area needs a kind vet who'd willingly help the new comers, even if its just giving them a landmark to another safe start area. Admittedly LL should be more on the ball with reported players, but we can't have everything
