  1. I am in Portugal and my ISP is MEO. Testing the connection to Comcast in Portland, Oregon, I was even surprised to get 500 Mbps download in average (tried it a few times).
  2. I just finally logged in at my home parcel (not at the home point) with Firestorm 6-6-17-70368, which had been running fine very early today, from around 9:30 pm till about 2 am SLT, until the issues began. Well, I think it still works fine, it's just something that happened somewhere.
  3. At the moment I'm logged in Jorondip but can't go anywhere from there. Trying to cross a border will log me out after being stuck for some time. Anyway, looking around it's like the surrounding regions are not there.
  4. I see that on your first image you weren't using Firestorm 6-6-17-70368, as the message on screen is promoting it.
  5. Ping and traceroute details submitted to the ticket. I'm stuck connecting to region at the moment, with the official viewer.
  6. No, Beq, indeed it's not just Firestorm. I've been using the official viewer for most of my attempts.
  7. So you know, I've been in Live Chat Support with Raine Linden. A ticket was created with all out chat. I will check back later, as I need to go out and do some real life work. If you need the viewer logs, please let me know here how I can send them to you.
  8. Maybe not at your end, Monty, but it seems to be a problem affecting parts of Europe.
  9. This is becoming ridiculous. Everything was fine 4 hours ago, and suddenly it all went to pot. I'll be getting into chat support as soon as it opens.
  10. [EDIT] Now stuck requesting region capabilities (any region I'm trying). [EDIT 2] Finally got in-world in Loch Linden with the official viewer but teleport fails. [EDIT 3] Using speedtest.net connecting to Portland, OR Comcast I'm getting around 500 Mbps download and around 90 Mbps upload, average. [EDIT 4] And stuck connecting to regions again (last one I tried was Loch Linden).
  11. Was logged out a while ago, and now the viewers get stuck on region handshake (both Firestorm and the official SL viewer). The web dashboard page takes a while to load. My internet connection is fine (just reset the router and did some tests), so it seems that Second Life is having some trouble.
  12. Check what Chic points. One remote possibility but that should also be considered is that some application you're not aware of tried an hostile connection to SL and LL's security blocked your PC's MAC address. So, it's important to contact Support and have that cleared., whether that was the case or just a possibility.
  13. From all you wrote along this thread, my bet goes to your OS firewall. Did you try disabling it? Or . . . If you have access to your router's firewall's black/white lists make sure the traffic from your computer to SL's login system isn't blocked.
  14. On the past half an hour I've been experiencing login and teleport failures. And when I can login, then it takes ages connecting to regions (tried a few) and never does. I just can get in-world randomly, only one out of 10 attempts work. Connectivity issues? [EDIT] It happens both with Firestorm 6.6.14 (69596) and the Second Life Viewer's supposedly latest stable version. [EDIT 2] Maybe it's a temporary issue, as I just managed to get in-world twice in a row.
  15. Sounds like what happened to me yesterday for my main account, using the latest Firestorm release. I could login with my alt account, though. Linden Support found out it was an inventory problem (75K elements inventory) and they fixed it. If you're Premium, get into Live Chat Support after clearing cache and politely ask them if they could run their inventory fixer for you. I moved back to Firestorm's previous release after that, and I'm also using the Second Life Viewer, just in case.
  16. I've been experiencing a bit of what you are reporting, although not as bad what you mention. Even at home (Main Channel region) I get some packet loss that sometimes jumps to a bit over 1%, which is totally unusual. Yesterday, during the LCC Sunday cruise, I had moments when it was around 50%. I even asked other sailors if the had noticed it but they just made jokes about packets. 😝 Anyway, today, no matter where I go or do (even if I stand still) I always have some packet loss. I'm on fibre, 500 Mbps download. [EDIT] Oops, forgot to mention that I run the latest Firestorm release. [EDIT 2] Apparently, packet loss info persists during a whole session until we restart in a non PBR region.
  17. I agree with you, of course, and with most of what's been written here about this subject, but I'm more concerned about legitimate accounts that for some reason don't have payment info on file and can't come to my main parcel just because I want to keep bots out it (it's ok if they land on my other two - for now).
  18. The "if" isn't a concern, bots can be. Like most os us, over the years I've seen a bit of everything, from useful bots that help running a store (e.g. giving out FAQ or redelivering products) or game characters, to scam bots that will talk to you, begging for money, until you notice that what they say stopped matching your responses, or bots that rezz griefing objects that after some time will make a region unusable. Advertising bots that go where avatars are can be the difference between you having room to enter the region or not. Years ago, I've had a swarm of bots landing in the middle of a KittyCats auction, supposedly advertising a skins store (image below). ).
  19. That's not my reason, though, and I'm aware that to collect data they can be anywhere in the region. Still, all parcels in my home region are owned (I own 3 there, not contiguous, unfortunately), so if all owners had the ability of using such a feature, data collectors couldn't even get in the sim. And really, despite knowing that data collectors may have good intentions, if what they publish is avatar profiles along with what they wear, they're not only helping merchants but they're also facilitating SPAM, scams and griefing in general.
  20. Just because of bots, I have have my main parcel set to allow only accounts with payment info on file, which of course is unfair to many people, but the alternative would be having to deal with a looooong ban list.
  21. What!? Now to see what's in the updates I have to create an e-mail account @lindenlad.com? Opps! Never mind. Sorry about this, just saw @Logan Elf post. Now a comment on one of the updates... It would be useful to have a feature to disable/enable access for bots by parcel, in mainland.
  22. Just got in and TP'd to the club. YAY!
  23. And I was supposed to start DJ'ing at a club in about 10 minutes. 😢
  24. Here it is: https://status.secondlifegrid.net/incidents/qjsnz431kdqm
  25. Logins are failing. Can't even load the dashboard. Says "Unable to create a valid session."
