  1. What road is this? According to SL Lore, the foundations of this road were found buried by a team of Survey Moles, and Abnor Mole restored it. For a long time it was not part of the Nautilus road system, but recently a road was built to connect it with another route. The red/black brick surface makes a lovely drive on a Sunday afternoon. Forgive my clumsy attempt at making a balloon.
  2. The Observatory is in Henshaw, and the "LDPW_EyeofEvil" is in Elderbridge. Both, I believe, were made by Garden Mole.
  3. Thank you for the good reminders. I went back to Cape Ekim just now and picked up the Professor's "Case closed" and "Another egg" - Do you have a way to over-ride the 'no direct teleport' that I find in some locations? I'm afraid I cheat and use the 'sit here' option to get in locked places (losing my patience in my elderhood).
  4. OO/T On skybox placement: I rezz them on the ground to make sure they are not infringing on neighbor's property, configure a teleport there, then 'ride' the skybox up to the altitude I want. Then I place a second teleport on the floor of the skybox, and coordinate it with the ground teleport. I have a small plot on a Mainland area where (so far) the residences are not too close together, but when I rode my skybox up to its current position I found that I have more neighbors in the sky than on the ground. Sometimes I'm amazed at the things I find up in the sky - most often I find forgotten pieces of construction projects, but once I found a traffic sign.* *Why I build in a Sandbox - misplacing a decimal point can cause your project to end up too long, too tall, or far away. At least in a Sandbox, if you type Z3000 instead of Z3.0 it should be returned** **although I try to remember to use 'pathfinder' to check my area after building in a sandbox.
  5. Clue: This is a Welcome Center that was constructed in 2003. It is not too far from another Welcome Center that starts with an "A", and an old amusement park with a maze.
  6. This may relate to a location that was posted earlier. It appears to be contemporary with the four "Korea" Regions, because they both offer the same "click here to get a free outfit" setup. There was also a chat parrot, and a large building with some nice artwork.
  7. This is part of the Zany Zen Railroad. It goes through at least two Regions - Gaori and Somdari.
  8. That's wonderful - I'd never seen that before!
  9. I wore my horsefly avatar, but I couldn't catch the little purple whirly things that dashed around. This is an island off Satori, made as a setting for a hunt for smaller avatars.
  10. Castle Valeria Infohub. Did you find the secret dungeon?
  11. Sorry to see you go. I hope some reincarnation of you will remain in Second Life.
  12. At one point I seem to remember there were four First Generation Linden Continents, but only one had most of the mini-quests that are so much fun to try to figure out. One quest in Premium 1 starts in Libani - there is a note on the deck of the little structure in the teahouse on a lake. You will have to use mouselook to read the note. One clue: At one point using "sunset" or "sunrise" to increase terrain contrast is a help. This quest, I believe, was put together by Musical Misty Mole, and there is a prize at the end. Later : I wanted to double check because I could not find two of the four First Generation Linden Premium Home continents using the World Map or content search, so I looked at some old Wikis and got Region names - Premium 1 (or Premium East), which includes Cape Ekim, has Meadowbrook InfoHub in Meadowbrook Region. Another region is Canard. Premium South 1's Meadowbrook InfoHub is in Bucksnort Region. Another region is Trona. Premium South 2's Meadowbrook InfoHub is in Ravenbrook. Premium South 3's Meadowbrook InfoHub is in Meadowcreek. Another region is Folcastle. Maybe they could just keep one of the original Premium continents - then shave all the area around important structures on the other and make it all sailing area?
  13. This one is in Heterocera - it never ceases to amaze me.
  14. I think that is Han Loso - Mystery Lake - in Jeogeot 104/135/27 - I am in awe of your photo with the catfish!
  15. This is on ground level in a small Mainland community in Jeogeot. There is a teleport inside which will take you to an amazing skycan filled with posters with information about different Second Life destinations.
  16. This is The Unknown Theme Park, most of it is in Moneta, but some is in Rivula. I am learning so much from this thread. I'm glad you started it.
  17. I thought I had a problem. Seriously, if it isn't causing lag, you might just try to live with it. Is it causing problems? Are you having trouble finding things in your inventory? You might start with sorting a few things a day and labelling them as you go. I have found that a number of creators do not properly label their items: For example, they named their item "Irmgard's Amazing Gadget" when it is, in fact, a teleport door. If you add "teleport door" to the rest of the name it will be easier to find. I make subfolders, and as items in the subfolders increase I subdivide them even further, for example "Objects/Objects - Furniture/Furniture - Bathroom." Hope this helps. I wonder if anyone has more than 330,000 items in inventory?
  18. This, I believe, dates back to around the time Svarga was first built.
  19. Char's Footsie Office, Pooley
  20. Remember that the early Moles only had prims to work with. Would you go to Stonehenge and say "I wonder why they didn't use better materials?" Disclaimer: I am a member of the LDPW Mole Fan Club
  21. Added clue: It is in a region named after the Greek Goddess of Memory.
  22. That's a tough one - can you give us a clue?
  23. You might recognize this from the wind turbine.
  24. ANWR Channel - prim mining plant
  25. Here's another clue, from a different angle. Just naming the general location is OK.
