  1. Here, hopefully this is better! I tossed up a ceiling light (it was missing one anyway) and took some close ups to get decor details. Sorry for my haste and poor lighting before! I might add more and change a few things as I continue with the other rooms. But so far, with the addition of the ceiling light, the room is at 36 LI total with everything pictured, including the shell for walls and floor. So I have some room to play, maybe in here or maybe just the rest of the house.
  2. Are they super dark on your screen? They are normal on my monitor! Hmmm.... not sure what happened. EDIT: I just pulled this thread up on my phone and I noticed they did look darker, but then I remembered I had my phone brightness down below halfway. I pulled it up to normal and they look about the same as on my computer monitor. So maybe that's just the problem, a difference in screen brightness? Admittedly, I don't have any lights on inside the room in order to cast natural shadows from the windows over the scene so that could be part of the issue too.
  3. Here's what I've got going so far in my Havana. Only the bathroom to share at this time but I'm loving it so much I had to snap some pics before finishing the rest of the house!
  4. I've had this happen (or something similar) before on a mainland parcel. The entire region was down even though it looked physically there and you would even be blocked by an invisible wall trying to cross the sim. I would first check to see if you can TP anywhere else in that region or come in from a neighboring one. Then, armed with that extra info of whether the problem is parcel-specific or region-specific, I'd file a support ticket through the website. They will get you sorted!
  5. Okay, I'm glad to hear you ladies have that problem too. I thought I was the only dumdum who accidentally buys something on sale I bought two years ago at regular price. I'm also getting better about checking my inventory before making that purchase but some things fall through the cracks.
  6. Most definitely! And with the house not eating into your land impact and pretty landscaping already lining your parcel, you have a lot of room to play with decor!
  7. Prim limit is 351 as they are 1024 parcels. The only exception is the campers which are 512 so only 170ish.
  8. Ooh, and also @DarkLobo, you can view the linden home page without a premium membership if you'd like to get a feel for what is showing up! No money down, have a look at the available styles and the frequency they are coming up, and if you decide to grab one you can sign up for premium to claim it (edit: or log into your premium account to claim it, seeing as it looks like you are just hesitant to release the old style home you already have!) And another tidbit... each home style has at least four varieties you can switch between on your parcel by clicking your mailbox. And each of those have a house controller that allows you to change the color of the walls, floors, siding, etc. The new homes are great! I hope you have fun and find something you love!
  9. Welcome back! The new linden homes are definitely still available. Previous released styles that pop up daily are Traditional, Victorian, Log Home, as well as houseboats and campers. And we are currently in the middle of a release of new Stilt Home regions. Three new regions have been released daily this week. So not only will you see those new stilt homes come up, you will see the other styles that other people are releasing to try for a stilt. You are allowed to refresh the land page 10 times per 10 minutes, and you are allowed to claim and abandon five linden home parcels in a 24 hour period. It's pretty easy to find a style you will adore right now. Stilts connected to piers are the hardest to snag but with a little luck and persistence and refreshing you might be able to get one of those if they are your flavor. Good luck!
  10. Just dawned on me that maybe they are purposely choosing an off-peak time to put less strain on the servers. Both for less of a rush of SL folks flooding the land page as well as less people on the internet in general? Or maybe it's the most convenient time during the team's work schedule? I believe there are LL call centers in Davis and the bay area here in California. But I've got no clue where the team that works on these releases is located. Or maybe they just want us to SUUUUFFFFEEEEERRRRR! (kidding, kidding) 🤣
  11. There is 3 hours between the east and west, so four timezones. SLT is the same as PST, so even with the 2pm releases it's still an odd time as that's 5pm on the east coast. Pretty much the entire US would be at work during that time or juuuuust getting off and commuting home. So the UK folks are sleeping and US folks are at work. Hmmm, what time would that be in Austalia? Maybe they are catering releases to our friends down under! 😆
  12. Bwahahaha! Organizing is as stress relieving to me as shopping so I'm great about the unpacking and filing part. But actually getting around to ever using even a quarter of it? That's another story! 🤣 My fiance is just happy my hoarding habits stay confined to SL.
  13. Same! I remember when I used to feel like I was saving money with the weekend sales. Now there are so many sales with so many high quality items that I spend just as much if not more than I would at a brand new round of one of the latest monthly events. But we get much more for our money at least hunting the weekend sales! And boy does unpacking and playing with those hauls feel good!
  14. Sadly I do enjoy speaking on voice with friends and people I meet on the grid so with this option I'd still be stuck with having to toggle a setting on and off, just in preferences this time instead of land. Good to know though, I'm sure that will be helpful to many who don't use voice chat and want to not hear chatter from their neighbors while still hearing the ambient sounds around their home!
  15. That is actually a very good point! I will admit it has been nice to tour the next three to be released the night before to get a feel for the areas. And hopefully it will continue to be easier for people to grab the later regions as more of the citizen-base has claimed previous homes.
  16. Well, hello neighbor! See you at the boat bar sometime! 😃 Edit: And same about "for now", hahaha. The sweet song of GoH is always calling.
  17. Aw! Still a good spot! Are you going to keep it? And I spoke too soon about mole pressies. I got out front to look around and realized we're right by a boat bar! Cute! Also, does anyone else often find themselves struggling with draw distance in the stilt regions because the flat landscape leads to tons of broken builds far off but still in view? My last one was absolutely terrible for that, I had to put it up ridiculously higher than anyone would want in order to stop seeing broken bits in the distance. This one though? I'm actually able go pull it low down to 56 and while I can still see my nearest neighbors everything in the distance goes away without bits and pieces left over. And the bonus is an even clearer sunrise view and a wicked good FPS when at home! Definitely feeling much better already about this end of pier than the last one. 😃
  18. Caught an end of pier in Fluke myself! No neat little mole surprises nearby that I've seen yet, but it does have quite a good sized expanse of water to the east so the sunrise view is lovely and setting sail will be easy peasy. Gonna have to see how this feels for a bit, but I like that my first instinct was that it doesn't feel too closed in and claustrophobic. Good luck to the rest of you! I can't wait to see what you all caught! ❤️
  19. Was wondering when they'd drop now that it's after 2pm.
  20. Lucky, lucky! If the gorgeous one you're releasing is the lesser of the two I can only imagine how nice the one you're keeping must be!
  21. You sound like me, I rent a homestead in a sailing/horseback riding community (Templeton Cove) and I love it! I will have to take a stroll over to Gulls Wing sometime and check it out, I'm not sure if I've been there before and I love exploring. I did have a New England Sailing Estate homestead in the United Sailing Sims years ago and it was lovely, but I needed more freedom in terraforming and landscaping than they could offer. I haven't been able to let go of the mainland though, my thirst just keeps growing. I almost bought a Nautilus parcel last month but I went with a 3x protected plot on Zindra instead that has Kama Park and its quirky little outdoor bar protecting two of those sides. I'm such a sucker for mole landmarks! I caught a Bay City parcel that is protected by the municipal pool in Barnstable before that and I absolutely adore it. It might be an old build but it is so pretty, it puts a smile on my face seeing it there. And then the oldest I still have is a large Nailsworth Bridge view 2x protected roadside/riverside parcel. Well, it used to have a gorgeous sunset view of the bridge but not any more... pesky neighbors, ahahaha! But even missing that bridge view for a few years hasn't deterred me from really enjoying that land. That's why I've really embraced Belli so much and wish I had explored it sooner than late last year. I love the thrill of finding a pretty parcel near something special the moles have constructed! That sense of exploration is really nurtured in Belli. ❤️
  22. Coming up on my 15th year in SL and I own multiple mainland parcels in addition to the bit of fun I've been having with the linden homes lately. Believe me, I know 😆
  23. Bingo. I don't think the lindens would be very pleased with ARs being used to just say, "These old prim freebies are really ugly and the flashing lights are annoying." I didn't like what I was seeing, but it wasn't technically abusive. Someone else may not mind the view or the derendering process so I let it go. I'm sure whoever keeps it will be super chuffed to have an end of pier. For me personally though it wasn't worth sticking around to see what else was brought out by the tenant as they continued to decorate. There will be other homes to be claimed in time, no need to hold onto something that doesn't feel like the right spot.
  24. Normally I wouldn't be driven away from a neighbor so easily but this one was really getting on my nerves for all the above stated reasons. I hadn't mentioned it, so it's funny you brought up the voice chat thing because that was also a problem. I spent my time settling in on Day 1 having to listen to them loudly chat away next door because they weren't restricting their audio. And while I am well aware I can restrict sounds from other parcels I would have lost the ambient ocean sounds that are placed outside my parcel and it would be a hassle to toggle it on and off depending on whether or not they were talking. Really, it was just one minor annoyance after another adding up to lead me to believe I didn't really want to be next door. And while the parcel was good, it was definitely not a forever home as I mentioned here when I first snagged it. Not my dream home in the slightest, just above average. With over half of the regions still left to be released I figured it wasn't worth being even mildly annoyed.
  25. True story, I gave up my end of pier stilt today for exactly that reason and my main is homeless now, haha! There are definitely problematic neighbors here too. I do feel it is bit better though, because the landscaping can be a barrier. But that doesn't mean people with that same mainland taste don't move into Belli and use those same mainland prims. It's probably the reason many of us are so picky with these stilts, there is less of a barrier as opposed to some of the other home types, just lots of flat land and sea, so you see absolutely everything around you. I was walking some trad regions near my friend's house the other day and I was struck by how good so many of the parcels were there with how the terrain and landscaping was laid out. Almost every parcel had strong division and privacy and I kept commenting on how much I liked each parcel. It makes a big difference and helps make the eyesores less noticeable.
