  1. Is it possible this growing disaster today is deliberately to hide earlier payment disaster and loss? selling some wrong items to buyers with wrong records through system disorder and earn some secret $. Because their long silence to this non-payment issue becomes very suspicious.

Please post back here with the results of your testing. still terrible, imagining that they saw and decided to buy items with incorrect listing, but found a total different result in the chart.
  6. Josh seriously we should not talk to them, we should talk to "other" lindens, I mean employees that are NOT in commerce/website/marketplace team. Let this disaster be informed to RL friends who know Lindens in other departments, or tell a blogger or reporter or other IT/game industry fellow who knows someone in executive level. I'm sure everyone can find someone through friend's friends, social network (whether RL or SL) is very powerful. I believe today's disaster (wrong store name/item) and continuing mysterious money stolen scandal are surely unbearable mistakes for a company.

  9. I couldn't stop wondering... Maybe Josh's a hacker... or a blogger or a reporter? or a lawyer? or a taxman? Maybe Josh happenes to be a Linden's wife and is going to slap her husband's ass... Maybe Josh is as rich as Mark Zuckerberg and is going to buy Linden Lab and fire CommerceTeam Linden... Maybe Josh is Kim Jong-un who is preparing to launch a rocket toward Linden's building... Mayebe.........................................

  11. Madeliefste, Yes, this is ridiculous! You're not the only vicim of this "items are delivered before the merchant gets paid" issue. I have 31 unpaid itmes being deliveded... But my case is caused by a unicode bug (merchants here helped me to resolved the problem), please check this JIRA to see if this is your situation : https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4580

Hi Josh, I should have changed it to--- Money missing will lead to a trust crisis, and trust crisis will lead to bank run (users going to sell & withdraw $L), and it will eventually turn to bankruptcy for a company/bank. Yes we can do that. And we can go to their company and protest to them, and we can sue LL collectively too. But, compared to users, I really think this system's bug is now causing much more risk and damage to LL's own reputation and credibility. The price they're paying for "missing money" is actually more expensive than any user's lost $L.
  14. I don't think they're not to refund in this situation. Customers' money missing leads to LL's bad credit, and bad credit leads to bankruptcy. This rule can be applied to every company. I don't want SL to die. I want they rebuild their credit as soon as possible.
  15. I can tell you, I did DD purchases in Super Reality 12 times, and having been charged by Marketplace for 12 times. I paid to Marketplac, but Marketplace nevert pay it to my sotre. Who owns Marketplace who owns those $. That't the answer.

  17. [update] I've created a new JIRA about the unicode bug causing DD payment issue: here: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4580 please check it thank you! 1. The specific payment system broken issue (issue-4559) has now been proved by more and more merchants. This issue is caused by update to Direct Delivery. 2. Through our investigation, items named with "unicode characters" will be stuck on "being delivered"--though in fact items already received by customers inworld, customers also being charged by the system, however, merchants couldn't get any payments from the new system. 3. This situation only happens when using Direct Delivery. 4. Once merchants put items back to Magic Box, issue-4559 doesn't exist. 5. Once merchants change item names (without unicodes), issue-4559 doesn't exist. 6. I bought items in my own store several times to test this issue in many ways, and so did other merchants, and we all found the same results. 7. When we bought items (with unicode characters) in our own stores, we found direct delivery can only deliver items to customers, but it can't deliver payments to merchants. We were charged, and the items received, but the money never delivered to our stores. This issue should be informed to other merchants by Lindens, or it will probably drive other store owners crazy after they finish upating to DD.

  19. Hi CommerceTram Linden, Resident & Merchant Gavin Hird has found the cause of oders stuck for you. And some merchants have resolved the issue manually by themselves and through each other's help. I filed a new JIRA earlier, check it if you don't have a clue, and this is Gavin's discovery.

  22. totally agree with Marcus, really really thank you Gavin!! I tired to change the list names and the problem just gone, abviously the problem is caused by DD doesn't support unicode. Ridiculous!!! Let's start a new JIRA. I'll do it.
  23. well...I have some different opinions, First, if Lindens just don't want to stop people's propaganda of their failures, just as they wish, no one could stop it. Second, that's Linden Lab who will be the final victim of its own bad reputations...not us. Third, seriously, people who have enough evidence that LL's system caused their financial loss can sue LL. And whether the outcome is, it will always be remembered as part of SL economy in wiki page. Fourth, I don't think merchants sold out to LL. Merchants can only be sold out to their cuctomers. One day if LL just lose its credtis, merchants can just migrate to IMVU or other competitors, it's not a big deal. "Merchants have no country." --Thomas Jefferson
  24. Josh, I've also been confused these days. To my knowledge the upgrade should always at least brings something better or more valuable. I've never hesitated to update to newer os, applications, browsers, 3ds max, maya, photshop, zbrush, silo, modo, Cinema4d...or whatever...none of these products have ever dared to have released a premature system like this--full of flaws, bringing distress to users , and not providing solutions to it. I think I just ignored that LL is just not Google, Autodesk, or Adobe, I should not have trusted this update would really make consequent "upgrade" directly and responsibly.
  25. OMG!!! ALL my procudts have unicode characters... Maybe this is the reason??? I'll try to change the list names later... Lindens can't even find this caused problems?? This is ridiculous! They never warn of not using unicode in DD...(because they don't know and don't care...) Finally it's not Lindens solving the problem, but Gavin... Linden Lab should pay you Gavin, great detective, Gavin Holmes!
