I enjoy being everything from a bug to a snail. I don't think race does matter in SL outside roleplay. I don't find much fun in making my avatar to resemble myself so I just pick what's fun! Though, it is hard to find good looking dark skins that aren't oodles of L. Recently found some that are rather great though!

How long is it before a membership becomes active? Such as, getting the L and such.

I've been searching around for a good ol' mechanic suit. Something that would suit a person working over a motor all day. Not sexy nor classy. Oil strains? All the better. I've seen a few, but they are far too 'sexy' for my taste. Can't be comfortable having everything hang out whilst working on a car. Any recommandations?

Usually you have to be 30 days old before you can land a job. That way people can see that you aren't a 'newbie'. As for jobs, dancers and hosts are always there. I'm sure you can find one that needs no experience. Just have to keep looking. Most require you to stay online for a certain amount of time and be active.

When you buy clothing with prim parts make sure its modify. Modifying prim parts can be difficult and annoying to do, but I'm sure there are stores that cater to larger AVI's. I wish you the best of luck.
