  1. I change everyday! Many of my avatars seem like different people. All with certain styles that stand out. Its sometimes tough to find them clothes. Especially trying to find actual Lolita styles. I find Second Life a way to be someone else. And when that look gets tiring...just a click and I can change from club wear to a garage mechanic! While I admire the unique 'look' people have on their avatars it just doesn't float for me. Though, I am in love with the style of a few bloggers.
  2. Thank you to the both of you! I know I have uploaded animations before but it has been so long. If you send me your e-mail Medhue in a notecard or message and I'll send you the file. I thinki it really is the number of frames. Also, I need to see about using this other program. I never turn down something free.
  3. So, I've run into a bit of a problem. This of course, is such a silly question to ask so pardon me. I create a still static pose in QVanimator. However, when I upload the BVH file I run into a problem. Either my avatar stays in the pose for only a few seconds or I 'loop' it and my avatar jerks every few seconds as it reloops. In the program, I checked at there are no values at zero which makes me think I'm doing something wrong when uploading. So, what is the best way just to get a simple static pose that an avatar will stay in?
  4. I think really causing a fuss over names like those isn't worth it. Chances are, they won't even stay very long in-world. If the person just likes a name with numbers of random jumbled words then let them! Not sure what to call them? Perhaps use something they are wearing if you must. I just find the whole deal to honestly not be a big thing. Last names were nice but I doubt we'll see them again.
  5. Its the avatar mesh and not the shape. Depending on the animation you'll get that little notch if your belly slider is over 0. Its kinda a bummer really haha. Also, pardon me if I'm wrong, are you Hooty from tumblr? : o
  6. Most likely its a mistake. Often, some products get mixed up on deiverly. Often, I find products I have turn no permissions after I do a bit of modding. Most likely, the creator is busy. Since you've already purchased two AO's that turned out to be advertised the creator should be given the benefit of the doubt.
  7. Only one account I still use and tons of avatars. I'm a bit of a junkie for buy furries in species that stand out to me. I like giving each one a different style and such. Its like having barbies again and playing house almost.
  8. Many big shoe designers have the perfect match for popular skin choices. I disagree with the removing of below the knee skin. Often I just pad around shoeless with disregard to mutant feet. That, and even if you did have the skin file it would still be wonky in certain windlight settings. There's also the fact that the skin is made using the avatar template. For your idea designers would have to get the foot scuplt and texture that along with making sure it matched up to the skin. Sorry if I'm rambling, rather late here. Or early haha.
  9. Each of my finished avatars have their own personility that show in their design. Rhonda, Tonya, Andy, etc. They each stand out on their own and often I find myself speaking as if they were speaking. If that makes any sense. Kinda of a small role-play. I don't have an avatar persona which makes it all the more fun for me.
  10. I didn't know about the new furry LL avatars. : o Thanks for the posts all~ I just didn't want to be risking getting my tush kicked out somewhere because it was General. I understand that someone will always have a problem but I wanted to know how much of a majority it was.
  11. Most of what I wear is free, including mesh. I don't have an income but some free/cheap stuff is better than what I would pay for. Mesh is something I'm looking foward to getting settled. Most people don't seem to worry since the majority seems to use mesh. They know they look lovely so why care? If I see someone wearing mesh I just shrug and oogle the rest of their avatar. It makes great pants I hear. As for shape, I personally have about ten I switch between. Since I make my own its easy to edit them. Its like skirt shapes~
  12. I've been questioning something lately and I thought it would be nice to get some feedback on it. What are the views on clothing-less furries wandering around in a PG skin? Would it still be considered indecent? Or fine? I started thinking about this as I was working on an avatar. I felt the avatar worked better without clothing(due to colors) but worried that it would upset people if I wandered onto a moderate or even a general sim. Since I know many avatars now come with PG skin I thought it would be nice to see what others thought. Cheers :)
  13. 1. Describe yourself in two words? Fretful and giggly 2. What surprised you last? Getting sour candy for my birthday. 3. What is your current favorite song or album - one you are obsessing over? Crocdile Rock by John Lennon 4. What is your mood or feeling today? (Or for you NT types, if you prefer: What is most occupying your thoughts?) Feeling blah but happy at my eye-searing colorful avatar. 5. What do you most hope for this year? Job.
  14. The way I see it, what's the big deal if someone without a mesh enabled viewer sees you? Mostly likely they know its mesh and its not big thing. Just a silly little sphere. I can't run mesh currently. I understand its supposed to make things run faster but each viewer I try just runs so slow for me. I'll stick with Phoenix Beta. I love the way it looks though. For someone who loves anthro I can't wait to see what can be done with it. No more worrying about alpha layers!
  15. 1,330 L or USD? Anyways, your description sounds rather easy. You might be able to pick up a pre-made wolf avatar and make it yourself with some modding. I've done more drastic changes myself so it shouldn't be too tough.
  16. Are you wearing the default skin? They have painted on underwear meaning you have to switch skins to get them off. Also, in your 'wearing' tab in your inventory does it say the clothes are off? If so, they might just take some time to leave.
  17. I hope it leaves soon. I thought it was bad with the super skinny avatars that towered over anyone. :\
  18. I'm afraid I don't of any but I can give you some good keywords. Try looking for a 'cane' ao. Like something a victorain getleman might use. Usually, you can get the animation seperate. That might bring up more results for you in a search.
  19. If had money I would snap those wings up. I just adore the front page! Its lovely, fresh, and really shows off some of the lovely effects you can find in SL.
  20. 'please let me know your feedback of the studio and my photograpfic work' As it was stated in the first post. Forgive me for not knowing the proper code and such to make it look better. It seems to me that he asked and we both only tried to answer. I have no ill feelings and no wish to 'bring him down'. I only do what I would find helpful, critque. I don't find myself a better artist than him at all, I just speak what I see. Proving artistic skill isn't what critque is about. I'm sorry you felt my post was that way, it was not meant to be. I gave them feedback. To be honest, I don't see what's upsetting about what either of us said. Then again, I find critque to be one of the best things to receive on art. Its helpful and made me improve loads. Of course, that's me. To Greek Wingtips, Again, I don't mean to offend. I simply don't keep beleive in keeping 'kid gloves' on for critque. If you wish, I could give a full-bodied critque on your work in a private setting. The forums isn't such a place for heavy critque. It could go on for some time. : P
  21. Now let's see... I wish you used different poses and different avatars. Even sticking with one theme doesn't mean each month should look so alike. Most of the poses are the same with minor changes. Backgrounds- what is the theme here? I see roman than unicorns popping up. It seems like just a collection of random backgrounds almost. Also, in most of these if not all they background is poorly chosen. They seem to be floating in space and don't 'fit' in the background. Play around with light sources and retouching in photoshop. You also seem to cut of the models legs in bad places. Try cutting above the knee or not at all. All in all, by looking at this I would have to say if I was looking for photos I would skip you over. Of course, I'm not saying this is the best of your work. However, if you offer something like this for free its best to make it awesome. That way, people will love it more.
  22. You shouldn't IM a creator. IMs get capped easily and they will never get them. Always make a notecard and send it. Its only a few more steps and most likely they will get it. : )
  23. Do you mean anthro? If so, check out slarf.org. They review anthro avatars and can be a great help. Also you're able to pick what sort of clothing you can wear.
  24. What bothers me mostly is when its used for ads. I've even see it used for skin ads!
  25. Search inworld for 'mutation industries'. They are the makers and have them for sell in their store.
