  4. Here is my current summary of how to use Prin Browsers: BOP Summary. Browser-on-Prim. Web-on-Prim. Shared Media. I use scripted prims that reset the browser to my chosen page every 15 minutes. People can scroll the browser or takei to another page. Then it does not display what I want shown. The script restores my display. The scropt also makes for easy mod to another page. I just get a copy of the prim and change the link setting in the script. The next time it resets it shows the new page. Full perm copies of the scripted prims are available in the Hobo Utilities KIf are available at Hobo Helpers HQ on Cookie http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cookie/136/100/22 TKR

  16. I have seen this problem several times Here is the info I have: Tech: Failure, Media plugin, webkit, shared media... http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/2010/12/tech-failure-media-plugin-webkit-shared.html I have run SL on win 7 64 bits for over a year with no problems. So have a lot of people I know. Here is the link i give to people whoi post about that: Windows 7 -- 64 bit -- Second Life -- No problems http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/2010/08/windows-7-64-bit-second-life-no.html The post is nearly a year old and I thought this was a dead issue. I am not seeing many questions about the issue in these forums. If you see an increase, my guess is because there are many more machines running it. There is a potentia failure mode described in the post above. Win 7 normally detects a 32 bit install and puts it in a compatibility box. If that is not done, you will have problems. The solution is cited in the post above. If you have other problems staying online, see: Hobo Kit on the Web http://thinkerer.org/SLintChan/SLiHoboKitonWeb.htm There are reports and recommendations on several common install/connection problems. 22. Things to check: The land must ne set or deeded to the group the retners are in. The renters must hjave a role that gives build rights. The renters should activate that group and tag when they rez things The renters can edit the objects and saee that the objects are set to the group. --- You can create a separate parcel or parcels for the rental area to have different controls. 23. First try the simple fix: Try Phoenix. If this is a Viewer 2 problem that will fix it because Phoenix is not related to Viewer 2. You can find Phoenix here: Third Party Viewer Directory http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory If you have a problem there, you can join the Phoenix/Firestorm Viewer Support group. It is open enrollment. Just look it up in search and click the join button. They can help you with viewer problems. TKR
  24. To answer your question: I moved two Islands together. They did not automatically become one estate. I filed a ticket and had them made into one estate. The only reason I had for making one estate was that voice will carry within the same estate. I suggest you file a ticket for the move and specify that you do not want them to become a single estate. Note that prim management will be by sim whether the sim are joined in an estate or not. TKR
