  2. One more glassy water reflection... (I'm getting obsessed with this thing...). :smileyvery-happy: :smileytongue:
  3. Intoxicate wrote: But if it simple 'can't be done".... oh well. That's right it can't be done. Nothing can be added to a rigged mesh inworld so that the additions would also be rigged. To be able to do it, you would need the original mesh where you could model the buttons, join them to the mesh, and rig them with the rest of the skirt. After that you would need to upload the modified mesh to SL. That would be the only way for the buttons to stay in place with the skirt.
  4. Trin, Val, Dres ... thank you. There's also instruction how to make mirror inside a house, on the house wall. Tilting the house 90 degrees (wall facing down)... :matte-motes-agape: :matte-motes-tongue: Full instruction here: http://itsonlyfashionblog.com/2012/06/16/mirror-mirror-on-the-floor/
  5. More reflections... :matte-motes-big-grin:
  6. Thank you Trin. :matte-motes-smile: Here's one more water reflection shot. I found instructions how to make really glassy mirror like water here: http://strawberrysingh.com/2012/08/11/mirror-mirror/ So I decided to give it quick try. For smooth reflection, without lots of jagged edges it's good to take the snapshot in high resolution. There's also one debug setting which helps to make the reflection to look smooth "RenderWaterRefResolution". Putting that to value 2048 gives pretty smooth reflection.

This is one of my pet peeves as well. *Takes up her stand next to Coby* Yes Czari. :matte-motes-big-grin: :smileywink:
  8. Had nothing special to do, so I tried my best in trying to ruin one snapshot in Photoshop. :smileytongue:

  11. Keyword spam makes searching something in the Marketplace total pain in the bum. :smileyfrustrated: It's really frustrating to search for something specific in the Marketplace. Most of the time the search results in hundreds and hundreds of completely unrelated items to what one was searching for. Who has the interest to browse through all those to see is there actually something related to the search? I have a feeling that a lot of people will just give up and instead of shopping will go to do something else more rewarding. Keyword spam is like a virus - making things unfuctional. :smileymad:

Then the auto update replaced it with "Second Life Release 3.6.4.280083". The auto update seem not to get the info that I now already have the "Second_Life_Release/3.6.4.280083" viewer as it wants to download and install it over and over again. Well, I will uninstall all Linden Lab viewers and wipe all the settings and caches of those from my computer. After that I will do a clean install with the latest released viewer. Maybe that will clear the problem. Keeping fingers crossed... Ok, after doing the above, problem solved. Now the auto update believes that I indeed do have the latest release viewer and does not bug me any more with constant update with the same viewer version. Yay! :matte-motes-big-grin: :smileytongue:

  14. Nilssen wrote: Thanks for Ignoratio elenchi. that's seems like red herring in this posted all answers. Yes i have read and till check out carefully... Well, I hope that, if you have read this far in the thread, you finally understand that local textures do not cost anything. That's the whole purpose of local texture, we can test how the texture looks inworld - for free. (By the way, I am well aware what temporary textures were. Yes, I have used them a lot - while they were available. I always try my best to give the right explanation of things. If I don't know something for sure, why should I post wrong advice? Thank you for your attention.) :smileywink: :matte-motes-big-grin:

  20. Czari Zenovka wrote: ... there is still quite a bit of fascinating mainland that many of us call home. Yes I can agree to that. I'm constanly exploring places a lot. What I have seen is that even though lots of mainland looks like garbage, there are still good supply of well built beautiful places there. :smileyhappy:
  21. Nilssen wrote: So why we have to Pay money for Test* each time? Hmm... did you read all the posts in this thread at all? Temporary textures where never implemented by Linden Lab. It was a hack some TPVs had using the old avatar textures baking system. In the new baking system (SSA) that hack does not work anymore. Linden Lab was aware of this and thus they gave us the Local Texture feature. Local textures do not cost anything. So you can test the textures to your hearts content. Cost = 0 L$
  22. Thank you Val and Trin. :matte-motes-smile: I was watching the avatars on the beach from a distance. Then I saw this beautiful lady in the water; I zoomed in and took few snapshots. The paparazzi me surfaced. :smileyvery-happy: :smileytongue: Val, thanks for the Flickr link. Pretty cool images there. :smileyhappy:
  23. One more shot from the beach. I liked the avatar's reflection on water. (That's not me.)
  24. Avatars enjoying the tropical beach at sunset. :matte-motes-smile:
