You discarded it?  You mean that you refused delivery? You might be able to get the merchant to agree to redelivery you purchase if you write a very polite note explaining that you made a mistake. Be sure that you include all details of your purchase from your Transaction History or from your order history in Marketplace. Especially if the item was copiable, there should be no problem.  Merchants are always alert for people who are trying to scam them, but they also understand that people sometimes make honest mistakes.  All you can do is hope they know which one you are.

Painful lesson to learn.  Read the blue drop down box before you decline.  As it was 'delivered', the merchant has met their obligation.  You can, as has been suggested, craft a polite notecard with transaction details and that you request a redelivery.

The merchant may redeliver to you but they are not required to do so.

Good luck!

Nothing requires the vendor send you another copy of what you purchased when you made the mistake.  But almost every vendor and builder understands that mistakes happen, and if you write a nice letter saying what you bought and when and ask politely for a replacement, almost all of us will send you another copy.  Sims crashing and networks faulting and Asset throwing up also cause products to disappear.  We lose stuff ourselves, so most creators will replace your lost stuff without too much worry.  But you need to be kind in your message to us.

Note also that some builders get so many messages in one night that messages are capped.  Thus they may not see an IM you give them.  In that case, write them a nice notecard and explain the situation, then give them the notecard.  That'll reach the vendor even if their messages are capped.
