What?  How can anyone have your prims? And what does that have to do with animating your avatar?

You animate your avatar with animations, which are controlled by scripts. Animations execute automatically if you sit on a scripted object that contains them or if you attach (wear) a scripted object that contains them.  Otherwise, a script won't animate your avatar without first asking for your permission.  There are only two exceptions: (1) Some objects, like short-range teleporters, can animate you when you click on them.  That's because they actually do have you "sit" on them, even though it doesn't look like that. (2) If you are using a Third Party Viewer with the RLV option activated, you can give other people the ability to control your avatar.  Even in those two exceptional cases, therefore, a script can't animate you unless you do something first --- click on it or activate RLV.  Nobody else can do those things to you.

So..... You have your own prims, unless you give them away (in which case they aren't your prims any more). If the prims have scripted animations in them, you can control who can activate the scripts, and nobody else can make them animate you without your permission.

The only ways I know for someone to animate your avatar is if you click agree to something like AvieX wants anitmate your avatar or messages like AvieY wants to bite you, or hug you, or kiss you, etc.  Also if you participate in BDSM or Gor there is RLV and collars that animate your avatar but again this is something you wear and agree to.

I still don't understand. Other people can use your object and can animate themselves if the script allows them to (that is, unless the script has a filter that says, in effect, "Don't pay attention to anyone but the owner or a member of the group").  There's no way that other people can use the object and make it animate you without your permission, however.  There's something missing here.
