Groups with one member, shouldn't they just go away automatically? SOLVED

Two of my old groups (for my renters) used to have me, my male alt, and a renter as members. Both now have only me, yet have persisted for months. I can't leave them (I started them both) and yet I thought that LL wiped out one member groups after a certain point of time. How long is that, it's been months now? Thanks.

Here's what might work.  I had a group.that.persisted for a.long time,.too.  If you're sure no group land is still held by the group...

Have your alt join as a member only.  Then you, as owner, leave the group. Then, your alt leaves the group.

That's an important part of the equation.  You can't get a group to dissolve if it owns land.

Definitely no group land, I have a hard time figuring out how that works actually. Will try the above fixes and report back. Thanks.

Done! You have to make your alt Owner, then I left, then he could leave. When he was just Everyone the message said an owner role was required. Perfect, thanks!
