#Thaplug, is looking for real estate agents. To help buy, sell, rent  out residential and commercial properties . We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work regularly, that is comfortable using there friends list and external resources to sale homes.  Must be good at speaking and communication skills,  have Discord and up to date on how it’s used.  This is a commission base job. The ability to work independently is crucial.

To be considered for the role of a Real Estate Agent with #thapplug, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Proficient in Discord Communication: Candidates must be comfortable using Discord for communication. This includes both text and voice-based communication for internal team collaboration and client interaction.
  • Ambitious and Goal-Oriented: We're looking for individuals who are self-driven and ambitious. A successful candidate will consistently strive to meet and exceed performance goals and quota.
  • Networking Skills: Candidates must be comfortable with and proactive in networking both on and off #thaplug sims. This includes attending virtual events, participating in online forums, and fostering relationships within the Second Life community.
  • Customer Service Mindset: Candidates must be dedicated to providing exceptional service to every client, from first-time buyers to long-term clients.
  • Professionalism: Candidates must present themselves in a professional manner at all times and adhere to the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Team Player: While much of the work can be done independently, a successful candidate must also work effectively as part of our real estate team.

Just a correction: https://www.nar.realtor/about-nar#:~:text=About NAR&text=America's largest trade association%2C representing,and commercial real estate industries.

To summarize if you're not interested in reading. The National Association of Realtors is a trade association where those in the property industry pay for membership and adhere to a code of conduct set forth by the association. So it's not quite "We are better than real estate agents", it's more "we're holding members accountable to this code of ethics."

Realtor is a protected word in the US, as it's registered to the above organization. I doubt they will come after an SL group for using the term. I would think you'd need to be making substantially more than what's possible in SL for them to even care to sue. However, they are actively preventing the genericide of their brand. In Canada, Realtor is protected by CREA, The Canadian Real Estate Association: https://www.crea.ca/who-we-are/mission/

I would assume the two groups are related, but to operate in Canada, any business has to incorporate within Canada even if they have other incorporated businesses in other countries. Fun fact, that's why Blockbuster survived in Canada for a bit longer than the US, because it was literally its own company, and not subject to the closure of its US arm. It did also close, since their logistics and back end were really sourced from the US, though.

Either way, so long as they're not using the trademarked logos, unless NAR or CREA are made aware, I doubt SL is even on their watch list.

Bump Also I would like to inform everyone debating over the term of Realtor Literally in America that is what a company/employee or what have you is referred to as so Realtor Real Estate Agent its all the same thing I have reviewed SL rules and nothing about this post is a violation  Also we are NOT Canadian  there are tens of thousands of Realty Companies and a vast majority of them use the words in different forms so pretty please drop it and if you would like to apply for a position within the roleplay please do find me IW or apply if not then please make a discussion thread elsewhere so that actual applicants do not get drowned out by the redundancy - Hiring Manager for Tha Plug
