Avatar not Rezzing after reactivation

I reactivated an old account that has been dead over a decade, no matter what I do I can't get it to be anything but an orange cloud and it won't detach anything.

It may take a while for the inventory and avatar files to load fully if you have just reactivated a really old account (in fact, I think that LL even says that very old, unused assets may no longer be accessible), so don't panic for  day or so.  Meanwhile, try using the standard LL viewer instead of Firestorm.  That might make a difference.  (If not, at least you'll be a fluffy white cloud instead of an orange one.  )

It could also be that one of your basic 4 (shape, skin, eyes, hair base) are corrupt.  See if you can switch to one of the default avatars (under the Avatar menu) and then add your own items back one at a time.

You didn't say what you've tried so far, but I'll second LittleMe's suggestion. Here's some specifics:

• Open your inventory, browse to Library\Clothing\Initial Outfits
• Each folder there is a complete avatar. You can either:
  • Drag a folder and drop it onto your avatar in world, or
  • Right click a folder and choose Replace Outfit.

Give it a few minutes and see what happens. Let us know.
