When you sell, for example, a "Full Perm" HUD Builders System...

It is NOT "Full Perm" if the included scripts for the buyer to use in their own HUD builds, are set to No Mod.

That makes the entire listing, NOT truly "Full Perm". And should not be allowed to be listed as such on the Marketplace. Yet everyone does this and some Merchants (not all) may include a little note buried at the bottom of the listing Description, telling the potential buyer that the scripts are "No Mod, oops sorry". I believe they do so, in hopes of tricking the Customer into buying it, thinking even the scripts are indeed, Full Perm as well, when they are not.

That is wrong. And it shouldn't be allowed.

Honesty FIRST. You can't change my mind on this one.

You are correct in the statement of it not being full perms if not all components are in fact full perms...however, if the listing is selling the hud to you, but not the scripts to you, then it is a grey area. There is also the, are you an actual scripter ? if you are a scripter then you do not need someone else's scripts to use in  your products, if you are not a scripter what is it that you need the scripts to be mod for, is it so that you can replicate and then pretend that you are the scripter? do you want to take credit for the script but not for the mesh/prims. Unlike the mesh and prims portion you cannot erase the creator, you can add a prim and by the basic of edit you can be seen as the creator, but anyone worth their salt can inspect and see that to not be the case anyway.

Once a script is mod it is something you can steal, and by steal I mean copy paste to a new script created by you, then create your own mesh base and go on to sell it again full perms, the only protection that the creator has in you keeping to their TOS is that the script remains no mod. It being no mod does not mean you cannot set up another script in the item to remove the script if you want to give customers that option.

Scripters are already absolutely taken for granted in content creation in SL, you can see people throwing other peoples scripts around for free without a care in the world almost daily, when that was not the intended purpose of the script to begin with, the only saving grace again on these is by them being no mod they still refer back to the creator.

There is absolutely no reason at all for you to need a script to be mod other than a name change, and for that you could IM the creator of the script and ask if they would consider that as an option, but you would want to be willing to pay for it.

Which brings us back to the start, the price you are paying for a 'system' that you cannot make yourself to be used in your own content, is a drop in the ocean of what you should/would need to pay a scripter to make something uniquely yours, with proper open to edit modify scripts involved.
