"Alts" are avatars where people run second, third, or even more avatars in SL, sometimes even at the same time, that can be both harmless, but often nefarious. A lot of us have one for reasonable purposes (needing an alt to pose for photos, for example).. in my case, being male RL but always female in SL, I do have a male alt that I very rarely take out for a drive, but only recently figured out how to run both at once in one place. I don't think anyone was accusing you of that, just that the posts were remarkably similar. And welcome to the magical madhouse that is SL!
