Having both a Linden Home and mainland

Quick question, is it possible to have both a 1024 in mainland and a 1024 Linden Home? 

I know I'll have to pay 7 USD (plus VAT in my case) monthly for increased tier but I'm not sure it  is a either/or situation. And I'm not giving up my mainland, I like it there.

(I'm hoping the premium plus will allow 2048 in land, I just need to know if I like the LH experience before, if not it is not worthy for me, and yes I'm wishful thinking in this one ).

Yes, you can have both.  You can actually have as much mainland as you want, whether or not you have a Linden Home, as long as you are willing to pay for the increased tier.

The all starter home thing was confusing me, it sounded like we only could have a LH if we didn't had any mainland

You get 1024 sqM land allowance. You can use it for a linden home, or you can use it for mainland. If you use that allowance for mainland, you cant get a linden home. However, if you pay tier for the mainland and have a spare 1024 allowance that is not used, then you can get a bellisseria home.

Any given premium account is only allowed 1 bellisseria home but can own as much mainland as you want.. providing you pay the tier for it.

that is the long answer to your question. The short answer: yes, you can own both.

On the other hand, if you are already using your 1024 tier on Mainland and want to move into Bellisseria, I believe you will have to upgrade your tier (Under Account/Land Manager/Land Use Fees/Update Tier) to qualify.

Mainland tier I do know how it works, I have mainland since  2007, LH not so well, I must admit that only recently I took real notice of them (the first ones to be released I did not like at all).  I have mainland that I don't want to let go and I needed to be sure before increasing my tier with more 1024.

It will be just for some months, as I said, I'm hoping for an increase in tier with premium plus, and by then I want to be sure If I want a LH or not. In the process also have a good look at the houses available now.

I can confirm that you can own mainland first, THEN tier-up an extra 1024, THEN start looking for a Linden Home, while still keeping your mainland plot, all in that order

Yep, I did this too. The system doesn't care which bit is free tier and which bit is paid. Just that you have tier available.

Happy to report that I'm now a happy owner of a Stilt OW (I wanted piers but didn't like the ones I got).

On a plus note, the water location saves a lot of prims in deco/landscaping.
