It's a feature of the Singularity viewer, the same thing it was the last time you asked this same question.

By pressing it, it makes your avatar "appear" to be "AWAY" but you may still actually be at the computer. So essentially you are quite literally FAKING that you are away from the computer. The Away tag will stay above your head until you click "fake away status" again; as opposed to when you are actually a way it will appear and once you get back it will disappear when you touch your mouse or keyboard.

Note that this feature does NOT hide your online status.  "Away" is short for "Away from Keyboard."  When you are in Away status, your avatar shows "Away" in the nametag, and if you don't have an AO active, you will appear to have "fallen asleep."  You are still shown as Online, however.

In "fake Away" mode, your avatar appears to be Away, but you may actually be using your mouse and keyboard.  Normal Away status is canceled if you do that.
