My clothes wont load!

I recently got a mesh body, I'm trying on clothes now, but some of them are not loading. I'm not sure what to do. Do I lower something in preferences to see it again?

you can only wear mesh clothes designed for that mesh body, all clothes that are layers, used for the classic avatar are useless.

Alwin is mostly right. You can't wear ANY system layers- they paint themselves directly onto the system body, which is hidden by your mesh body and the alpha you're wearing with it. They're probably loading just fine, you just can't see them - and you're not supposed to. 

You need mesh clothing, but it DOESN'T have to be designed for your mesh body. It will fit better if it is, but you may be able to wear some standard mesh by using the alpha HUD that should have come with your body. However, mesh clothing that is made for your particular mesh body probably will look nicer, in the long run. Especially if you have a "unique" body, such as one that's made to be especially curvy.

You can also use applier-based clothing. Applier based clothing is similar to system layers - it paints directly onto your avatar. However, using an applier will paint that clothing onto your mesh body instead of your system body. You can do this two ways. You either need an applier made specifically for your body, OR, if your body works with the Omega system, you can use an Omega applier and the appropriate Omega relay, which you can find inworld or on the marketplace.

Look for a support or community group for the mesh body you purchased.

I would assume that most of them have people chatting all the time about what and where items can be found for that body, much as the one for Belleza does.

Ask in there where you can find some items to get started on a new wardrobe.
