No, but you can be friends.

Not officially.  The system only has one slot for an SL "partner".  That doesn't mean that you can't have multiple partners, though.  I was in a three-way partnership for almost five years, and I've known other similar situations.  And of course, there are those who have two or more "partners" but don't tell them.  Sometimes this cheating is done by one avatar, and sometimes a person will have multiple accounts and usernames with a partner for each one.

You can have as many partners as you can handle.

The problem is that the Second Life profile window only has room for one 'partner' at a time - but this doesn't need to limit the terms of endearment you use. I have multiple partners, and resolve this by not using the partner box at all - it's more comfortable either to create Picks, or some part of my profile text to talk about them.

When I first read "there are those who have two or more "partners" but don't tell them" I thought of that as an expansion of having one partner... and not telling them.
