Hi suriely,

If you have a graphics editing or painting program or even word processor with drawing tools on your computer, you can do as Alwin suggests and craft your own. You could so something as simple as a flat card, like the invite you'd mail in real-life. That would be nothing more than an image on a flat prim. Create your invitation in the tool of your choice and export it as an image. If you can't do that (a word processor might not allow that kind of output) you can always take a screen shot. Import the resulting image into SL and apply it to the face of a flattened cube. Set all the other faces white, or the color of your image background.

You can link two such flattened boxes together at an angle to make a folded note, applying images to both sides of each, as necessary to get the look you want.

There are pre-made wedding invitation kits in the marketplace. I have no familiarity with any of them. Just search for "wedding invitation".

Once you've made the invitations, you can then give them away as you would any other object.

Congrats!

Like any other item in SL, first decide what you want it to do.

The simplest wedding invitation is just a notecard.  Right click an empty area in your inventory and choose New Notecard.  Write your note, name it, and then just drop it on all your friends.

However, most people want something more ornate for their wedding invitations.  I have seen everything from a flat poster, to a "card" that opens, or is permanently open, to a huge parade float thing that was bigger than my house.  Create these as you would any other Second Life object, and texture them with bitmap images created in an external paint program like Photoshop or GIMP.

Your invitation can also contain scripts and things like information notecards and landmarks, and can give them to people.  They can be made to play music or emit poofs of confetti or fireworks, or light up the night.
