Why can't i open the SL viewer after i downloaded it? I am new here

Pleas go back to your post, edit and add a bit more, like your machine specs and the message you get.

Hello, Besty and welcome to Second Life.  Before you get very far, I suggest reading the Quickstart Guide.  It will answer enough of your first questions to get you started.  Once you get in world, you can start learning the rest.

If you downloaded it to a tablet or a phone then you'll not be able to install and run the main SL Viewer - the SL Viewer requires an actual mid to high-end computer to experience properly.
