Clothing confusion

I bought a suit of clothes at a store and couldn't find it in my inventory...

However, I found the sign that I clicked on in my objects folder.

I can "wear" the sign.

Is there something I'm not doing right?

That “sign” is the package containing the actual clothes. To learn how to open it, read this helpful article:

Thank you for your help. I didn't see a "rez" option so I didn't think it was a box. Will find a place to go to.

Just type in adult sand boxes.. If you are playing an adult. Then you can click and hold the item drag it to the ground, right click and and open. Then it will "unpack". In your inventory. There ya go.

if i may ask why "adult" sandbox? for unpacking there is no rating, only don't display nudity on pg as far i know

That may indeed be Sephina’s intent when recommending an Adult sandbox: I’ve seen countless newbies going accidentally nude when trying to change outfit, and more than a few of them not being altogether treated with patience for it.

Ren Toxx... that's exactly why. If she or he doesn't have a place to change I don't want them to get in trouble by changing in a G rated sandbox.

For what it's worth, I have a changing room area set up at my store. You will need to rez out in the area marked as such and then TP up to the changing area, but there is privacy that way at least. The TPs are located one in Boddies by Bobbie and one in Quoth the Ravenn.
