Perhaps there should be a button we can click to mark a thread as "Humorous" when we create it.

They'd probably get confused about why we were writing about a bone in the arm.

Ah, 'tis a tale of the Moirai!

So you're Clotto, the one who starts spinning the threads, then we have Laskyasistah, who drags them out as long as possible, only for Aisaprat to terminate their existence

Don't underestimate us.

I bet everyone here has seen Disney's Hercules, and Clash of the Titans.

Twice, probably.

Hows about "slightly humouous to a certain clique but really rather spammy" ?

You may be right, Sid. A lot will depend upon your sense of what this place is about, and how the personal dynamics work here.

I'd be curious to know -- and I honestly say this without wanting to start an argument, but because I'm interested -- what bothers you most, the "humorous" and "spammy" part, or the "cliquey" part?

I'd understand the latter more than I do the former, personally. I understand how annoying "cliques" can seem.

But maybe you have a very different sense of the function of this place than I do? I've been away from here for a couple of years: maybe your sense of what is socially permissible is more up-to-date and valid than mine?

As an aside, did you know that the OED has already announced the new version of the past tense of "rob" is going to be "Robbened"?
