Yes.  You can add anything you like, as long as you stay within your prim allowance of 117 prims.  Personalizing your living space is one of the fun perks of home ownership.  You cannot change the basic structure of a Linden home by raising the roof or tearing out an exterior wall, but you can add interior walls, appliances, floor coverings, lighting, a fireplace, .... anything you like.  Do watch your prim count, though.  Build or buy judiciously.

As Rolig says, you can add anything that fits within the 117 prim limit. As an inveterate prim pincher, I'd be inclined to find something that could serve triple duty as a fireplace, stove and toilet. It's been a cold winter and a warm seat sounds lovely.
