Help please on firestorm Viewer

I am seeing my partner as a cloud how do i fix that so i can people as not a cloud on firestorm viewer?

It is not just the Firestorm viewer, it can be any viewer.

Project sunshine was supposed to fix this and as I understand it FS has locked out old viewers that do not support that new process.

SO if you are using a current FS viewer and having issues then it may just be that your system is not able to run SL well.

You might try Singularity viewer which is much less stressful on your system (older technology in many ways and fewer choices). That could fix the issue for you.

Try r-clicking the cloud and selecting refresh textures. If others are seeing her as a cloud she could try reseting to default avatar.

it can still happen, but is much rarer now. IF it happens, it's now because of attachments (rather than clothing layers) being out of synch between viewer and server (attachments are not covered under the SSA implementation).

Ask them to relog, that usually clears things. Or relog yourself, that can also help (if you're the only one seeing it).

There's no reason for you to have to switch viewers, this sort of thing can happen with any of them.  The Firestorm Wiki documents steps to take to fix this issue... link.  Have your partner closely follow the directions on that page and you both should be alright.

Consider joining the firestorm support group and ask there? They've always been very helpful in these matters.

Somtimes Eye's Hair or clothing prims can make an avatar show up as cloud and can be fixed by changing the eyes hair etc
